Let me start by saying this is a very good whip for beginners. The suede is very soft and feels great running across your skin. I wouldn't recommend this for intense impact play, as it is a little on the light side. As a beginner piece, though, it is a great introduction into spanking.

WARNING: There will be black lint left over from the suede the first few uses. With some use it will go away but till then, be warned.

As far as the glass handle/dildo part goes, we were less impressed. It is very pretty, and you can feel the texture in your hand, but the ball at the tip was not comfortable for the Mrs., so after a few attempts we gave up on it. It is just a decorative handle for us now.

The whip portion is suede and is quite soft. This may be a negative for someone who requires more of a thudding feeling for their session, but is great for those just starting to experiment.

The handle/dildo is glass so it is very hard. This makes it quite fun for temperature play.

There is a general concern with lubrication on the handle getting onto the suede whip portion. There is no protection between the two so it is possible for the lube to run down and potentially harm the suede. The handle is quite long, though, so as long as there isn't excessive amounts of lube being used, this is not normally too much of a concern.

Our biggest issue is the shape of the handle. The texture on the handle is great, but you have to get past the ball at the end first, and we were unable to do so. This is unfortunate but we are still happy with the whip end so we got over it. I would advise everyone against purchasing this more for the dildo end.

The whip is great for those new to whipping or with a lower pain tolerance. It is soft with a little bit of a thud but you have a lot of control with how hard the strikes will be (it is easier to avoid "It hurt that bad?! I barely swung it!" You need a little strength behind it to make it hurt).

Going with the theme of this review, the handle is a much better handle than a dildo. It performed poorly (FOR US) and I would not recommend this for that purpose if you asked me.

This item is relatively easy to care for. You have to be reasonably careful when washing the handle, so as not to get water all over the suede and ruin it. Other than that, though, you just have to run the whip through a few sessions to get rid of the lint falling off of the suede and then you are good to go. To avoid any issues with the suede rubbing up against anything it shouldn't, we keep it in the original packaging. Make sure it is very dry, of course, before putting it away. Suede does not like to get wet.
