Beginner's waterproof harness and dildo set - harness and dildo set discontinued by Sportsheets - review by jc123

I was excited to find this harness--it looked like everything I had been looking for. First, I have a huge love for all things Sportsheets. Second, I have been looking for a harness that would fit my larger frame but could be adjusted to fit my husband's smaller frame as well. When I found this product online, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to review it.

The harness and dildo come packaged in a box that is anything but discreet. There is a picture on the box of the harness/dildo being worn, and the box says "SEX IN THE SHOWER" in extremely large typeface. Anybody would recognize the box as containing a sex toy.

I took the harness out of the box and immediately fell in love with the way it felt. The straps are nylon, but they are very soft and have rounded edges so there is no fear of them cutting into your legs or becoming uncomfortable even after intense or prolonged use. The harness is made from a waterproof neoprene and it feels great against the skin.

The harness will accommodate a 60" waist, and each thigh strap will allow for about 30". I had room to spare for both measurements, but not enough that the extra straps got in my way. The type of nylon the straps are made from seems that it could be easily cut if you do have a lot of excess, so don't let the long strap length dissuade you. The harness was very easy to put on, and it is the most comfortable harness I have worn. I was especially impressed with the extra padding in the front-- the extra cushion allowed for a very long and intense session with no pain or bruising for me on the giving end (yes, I've had those problems with harnesses in the past!).

The dildo that came with the toy is... awful, to put it nicely. Sized and shaped like a pegging dildo, the dildo is made of "rubber," per the manufacturer. I haven't encountered another toy with this texture. It isn't exactly jelly, but close. It is slightly tacky to the touch, and it has a few poorly defined lines/ridges. It is perhaps the most flexible dildo that I've ever seen. The thing was not stiff enough to penetrate my husband, even as I was using both hands to guide it- it kept bending in half. I imagine that a dildo made of jello would be more useful.

I tried to find a different dildo to use with this toy and I discovered that the 1 1/2" o ring measurement provided by the manufacturer is a little off. I could not fit any 1 1/2" dildos into the o ring. 1 1/4" would be a great fit, but I didn't have one. I was able to make do with a 1" dildo- no issues with slipping or anything, and I can see that a 3/4" would probably also work in the o ring. Another nice thing about the padded pubic area is that it has enough give to accommodate several different types of dildo bases.

Care for the harness is easy- it is waterproof and would not be harmed by a trip through the washing machine or dishwasher. Care for the dildo was also easy for me- a quick toss into the trash.

Once I found a dildo that worked with the harness, we were in business! The nylon straps stayed very tight during use, the padded pubic area provided me welcome cushion during the process, and the o ring area easily accommodated the dildo's large base. In my (limited) experience with harnesses, this is an all-time favorite in terms of performance.

I do have to note again how disappointing the provided dildo was--I cannot imagine anybody having a satisfactory experience with it, given its size, shape, and texture.
