Double-ring harness with dildo - harness and dildo set discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Midway through

This is a G-string style harness, with two big O-rings in the middle that interlock to hold a dildo. The purple dildo comes with this harness to make a set, and what a wonderful set at that! The dildo and the harness are purple, and the interlocking rings work fabulous. Just make sure you have them tightened correctly, if the band doesn't fit your body, then the rings will be loose and won't hold the dildo correctly.

This is great for both gender play and pegging. This is by far my favorite harness of the ones I own. I feel that the design allows for more dildos to be used. There is only one flaw in the design, and that is in order to change the dildo during play you have to loosen the straps which can make for a little bit of a hard time when you are in the middle of using it. It can also pinch if not tightened properly, which obviously can cause pain and discomfort. So make sure you adjust it well before you begin use!

The harness itself is made of nylon straps, with plastic buckles, and the rings are metal. There are 3 D-rings for straps to go through and then the 2 O-rings to hold the dildos. The entire thing is waterproof, including the dildo that came with it. The straps are sturdy and so are the buckles, I feel like this will last a long time. It is a firm set and the nylon can get a little scratchy when you are sweaty but otherwise it's relatively comfortable. The harness itself has no smell to it. The middle piece is a suede feeling faux leather. It is not stated what it is made of, but it is not nylon. For those who worry that this harness isn't animal safe, I would check further into it. I can't say that it's not some form of leather covered in a suede feeling material. It is very stiff and holds well, it is also relatively thin.

The dildo is TPR Silicone with a large base. It is smooth with a bulge on the end and is slightly contoured. It is flexible, and can be used for anal due to the flared base and the smoothness. It is thinner than the other dildos I have measuring in at only 4 1/2" around as opposed to the more normal 5". I believe this just makes it more geared to pegging and that's why I enjoy it more. However, it is still great for vaginal sex and I have enjoyed it both ways.

The design behind this harness is fabulous. The idea is that you don't have to buy any more harnesses to fit your different dildo sizes - this has most of them covered! The only sad part is the difficulty during usage of swapping to another dildo. You have to readjust the harness by loosening the straps, then swap the dildos, hold the new one in place, then try to retighten the straps. It can get tricky, so you may be best not swapping during usage with this harness. The straps are easy to adjust which is nice, and it does fit a variety of sizes, I also don't feel like I have a ridiculous amount of straps hanging off of me with this harness. Sometimes a strap-on is just too strappy, if that makes sense. In the end, I do believe this is well-made. It will also be my best harness and the one I use as a go to. The dual O-rings is probably the most fantastic idea I've seen in a harness, and the rings are not interchangeable in this harness.

The harness is one size fits most, however the hips max out at 53", and the crotch fit is about 32" from front to back. So it has a sizable range. The rings are about 3" inches, but the inside is about 2.5" which I felt measured differently than the description says. However, in use the max width of the dildo you'll be able to fit in there is probably 2 1/4". This means it fits a large variety of dildos. They interlock when adjusted correctly and hold it well in place, in a "hard-on" position. It can sit high or low due to the adjustment, I like to wear it low on my hips, so that the dildo falls in a more natural position. The base of the dildo is 3" inches wide, and it is 7" inches in length. It's circumference is 4 1/4" and the diameter is about 1 1/4". The dildo is slightly contoured, and bulges on the end.

This was a fairly easy to use harness. It was comfortable, I would say if you went several hours using it, the nylon would chafe the bare skin it was held against. So there's a delicate balance between tight enough and too tight. I feel that it's not hard to find that placement though. It was very easy to get out of as well, just unclip one of the plastic buckles. The toys are a little difficult to hold in place while putting the harness on and off, the harness rings let go and that makes putting toys in and out a little frustrating but with some practice you can get the hang of it. I feel that despite that little flaw it was much more worthwhile than my other harnesses. It held up to position change better than my other harnesses, and it didn't squeeze my legs and make me look like I had 6 rolls on my butt. Believe me, the g-string style is so much better.

You can machine wash the harness, though I recommend doing it alone because it can tangle with other bits of laundry. The dildo can be washed with soap and water, and is not a bad lint collector at all. I store it out in the drawer with other toys and it hasn't collected nasty things to it, it does well. I lay the harness next to it and haven't had any problems. So I don't store these in any particular container because I don't feel it's necessary.

This set comes in a white box with purple lettering. There is a picture of a sexy girl wearing the harness and scantily clad, giving you bedroom eyes. It is not discreet, it does however give you most of the information about the actual harness itself that you will need to know. Inside the box, the harness itself and the dildo are packaging separately in plastic baggies. There are no real instructions, just the material information on the box and a little more information about the product, no actual instructions inside. It is not hard to figure it out on your own though.

I'd like to wrap this up by saying that this is a fabulous harness and despite its 2 design flaws (the pinching if inappropriately adjusted, and the difficulty with holding dildo in place while getting on and off) it is well worth the buy. It fits such a large variety and looks pretty flattering on the person wearing it. It doesn't grab and make you look fat. I've noticed some harnesses when tightened appropriately for use can give rolls and bite into the sides of the wearer. I felt that this was a strong sturdy harness that does not do that. The dildo that comes with it was high quality too. I liked the shape and it's great for vaginal and anal sex both. This makes the entire buy very well worth it to me and I recommend it to everyone, beginners and advanced alike. Once you get the hang of holding the dildo in place while you tighten the straps to get it on right, it makes it all worthwhile.
