Mia-Z - double strap by Outlaw Leather - review by BBW Talks Toys

The Mia-Z is a double strap (or jock-style strap) harness by Outlaw Leather. It can be used for almost all of your strap-on sex needs. It's designed to be worn by a female-bodied user, and can be used for sexual activity or for packing; however, the leather might be a little too bulky to wear under some styles of clothing. Anyone at any level of strap-on play can use this harness, but I don't see a beginner putting the kind of money that leather demands into a first harness. This harness did not come with any dildos to use in it; you must provide your own cock. Actually, you can provide two as you can wear a cock inside your vagina while fucking your partner as well. This is a unique feature to Outlaw products, and an interesting experience.

The Mia-Z is made out of leather. Green and black leather, to be specific. The snaps, grommets, and D-rings are steel. It comes with two rings. One is made of steel and the other is made of rubber. All the leather is soft to the touch, but the part that rests over the vagina (basically, all the green) has more of a finish to it. I would suspect that this is to make it easier to wipe down. The black straps are buttery soft, and the suede that rests against your skin is almost velvety. This makes it very comfortable to wear. There is a noticeable, rich, leather smell that I love. The Outlaw logo is embossed into the back of the strap that secures around your hips, on the green. Leather is not waterproof, so I would not recommend wearing this in the shower or pool.

This is a standard, double strap (or jock strap style) harness. It has two straps that go around your legs and one that goes around your hips. It's easily adjustable with D-rings. I think the D-rings are a good choice for the leather because leather does tend to stretch. This means you won't need to punch new holes into your straps for a buckle. Everything is sturdy and secure with steel grommets keeping everything in place. The snaps are strong but still easy to use. The website states that both O-rings are standard 1.75" diameter rings. When placing the rings on top of one another, I find that the rubber ring is slightly smaller than the steel, but I don't think enough to call it a different size, necessarily. I would imagine that Outlaw's reason for providing two rings of the same size is that the steel ring is much heavier than the rubber one; therefore, anyone who might like a lighter ring could have one. I can see where this would be ideal, but I liked the steel a lot and haven't used the rubber ring as of yet. You can, and should, invest in different sizes of O-rings if you intend to have different-sized cocks in your harness. The Mia-Z can accommodate up to a 2" diameter ring/cock.

This harness works best with flared base toys and also any of the double-ended dildos designed to be used simultaneously, as you can thread the dildo through both sides of the harness. You can also use two dildos base-to-base if you so choose.

I think that anyone who knows anything about harnesses or strap-on sex would know what this is. If someone were to stumble across your harness who was unfamiliar with what it is, you can guarantee that you're going to be answering questions. In that way, I would not call it discreet.

I was only a little concerned when I saw 54" hips. As a curvy girl with nice wide hips, I knew it should fit, but I was a little unsure. Once I received it and adjusted the straps appropriately, I was delighted to discover that this did, in fact, fit my hips. With the lack of buckle, this could easily fit a wide variety of sizes. I found that it fit well. The front portion (that should really have a name, but I haven't found a name for it, so if you have a name, please tell me) rested nicely on my pubic bone. It also sat low enough on my hips to be secure and comfortable. If you do want it to be higher on your hips, you can lengthen the thigh straps and place it where you want it to fit, then secure it. The straps that go between your thighs did sit a little too close together over my clit which made it difficult for Mr to finger me during oral.

This harness, in my opinion, is very easy to use. Aside from being comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time, I found that if you just loosen the straps a little on each of the D-rings, you can just slide it off. Then slide it back on when you're ready to play again. It is also easy to insert toys into as long as you're not changing toys in the middle of your play time. If you are, then you'll have to, at the very least, loosen your straps around the hips to make enough space to unsnap it, pull the other toy out, then slide a new one back in. This isn't a problem for me, but someone who was in need of changing a toy partway through their session might find this bothersome.

Unless you're creative with your clothing, I wouldn't recommend packing with this long-term. It could hide well under some denim, if it's loose enough and the straps aren't dangling; however, lighter clothing that clings to the body at all would not be ideal for this harness. It's not bulky but it's not very discreet either. During the hour I had it on continuously, I did not notice any chaffing. I do think that it holds toys very well and both rings are sufficient for support. I do like the weight of the steel ring on the harness more than then rubber.

One unique feature to this harness is the ability to use it with two dildos, or a dildo meant to share. I did try this with two dildos base-to-base; because the cock I used was long enough, I didn't experience the dildo slipping out of me at any point. For me, though, I don't like the dildo inserted while I have another one for Mr. When I wear a cock, and we play, I like to feel aroused and long to be filled; be that with fingers, or during sex later. With the cock in, I feel like I can't feel my arousal as much. Others might find this feature to be enjoyable, but I will only be using this harness with one cock from now on.

This is fairly simple. A cloth with warm, soapy water will wipe down your leather well. Do not soak your harness in water as it will ruin your leather. You can use a leather cleaner and conditioner to keep it in good condition. I would not recommend using this harness with a partner you are not fluid-bound to, as you cannot sanitize leather. I store my harness in the plush bag that it comes in, along with the extra ring. The black, drawstring bag is fairly small and does not reveal the contents of your bag at all.

I would happily recommend this product to someone who is looking for their first leather harness. It's fairly reasonably-priced. It's great quality and is simply a gorgeous piece of work. I have another harness that has nylon straps; and while it is comfortable, it's nothing compared to the soft, buttery leather straps of this harness.
