Shimmer is Good

The Tantus Curve has an amazing texture, and a delicious curve that finds my g-spot every time. It's not too thick, but not too thin, and just long enough for my anatomy. The base makes it great for vaginal or anal penetration while preventing hand cramps or slippage. The material feels almost realistic. And it shimmers. Shimmering is good.

Use

Because of the design of this toy, you can use it for just about anything under the sun. Vaginal and anal penetration are just fine. Partner play works out great. Beginners and advanced dildo users alike will find this toy easy to use whether giving, receiving or masturbating. Not to mention it seems to do an excellent job of finding one's g-spot (and perhaps the p-spot if you fall on that side of the biological spectrum).

Material / Texture

Have you ever held brand-name Play Doh in your hand? Don't squeeze, just hold it. Notice how it's not really sticky, though things stick to it, and it almost feels like if you squeeze, it will maintain its shape, but when you do, it caves in. Now forget about the caving in part, and you've got the texture and feel of the shaft of the Curve in your hand.

Made from hypoallergenic 100% platinum silicone (nonporous, phthalates and latex free), this toy has the most delicious drag, so if you're looking for a slip-sliding experience, plan on lots of lube or another toy.

It's velvety and dense and shimmers. Yeah, I got another toy that shimmers. I dunno, I like stuff that shimmers. Plus, there's lots of shimmery stuff on the market.

It's not really warm to the touch, per se, but it's definitely room temperature. It flexes and bends, but doesn't wobble anywhere near as much as, say, the Tantus Acute. And when it's warm enough, it feels almost like the real thing.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design. Love it.

Let's start with the base and work our way up, shall we?

The base is sort of shaped like an egg. It measures three and a half by three by half an inch. That's right, the base is half an inch tall. The size means the likeliness of having issues with anal penetration is slim to none. Some seem to think this aids in o-ring compatibility, while others think it makes it more difficult. M and I haven't yet purchased a harness, but soon.

What I do know is the size of the base makes this sucker ridiculously easy to hold on to. No hand cramps or slippage to speak of.

The shaft angles back slightly for about an inch or so, then curves sharply forward and straightens out for the last few inches. All told, it has a length of six and a quarter inches from base to tip, with an insertable length of five and three-quarters inches.

The "head" is about an inch and three-quarters long with a diameter of about an inch and a half at its widest point, and sort of resembles the head of a penis. And along the front of the shaft is what I can only describe as a dragonesque texture. To me, it reminds me of what I used to envision as a child when reading about dragon scales.

I think the curve is just barely tighter than my own internal curve, because the Curve snugs up to my g-spot as if we're made for each other. The material allows it to straighten out the tiny bit my body demands and I hit the spot every single time.

It's hard to say who this toy would be best for. I mean, I'm not a beginner by any means, but when I saw this toy I expected to hate it because of how short it is in comparison to most of my other toys. Turns out it's the perfect length.

Performance

Let me start by saying that the Curve was not at all what I expected, and I almost allowed myself to get disappointed before even trying it. Even with reading the specs, I expected it to be larger and more curved. And I expected less flex. Not so much that I was looking for that, just that's what I expected.

All of my skepticism faded away the moment I slipped the Curve inside me.

This dildo is at almost the perfect angle... I should stop saying that. While it did feel just barely tighter than "the perfect angle" for my body, it did not, in any way, diminish how amazing this toy felt in use. I could rock, or thrust, or barely even move, and it still felt like it was made just for me.

Does that mean you're gonna like it? Maybe, maybe not. But if you like a flexible, draggy, almost realistic feeling toy with a less than realistic look and an amazing curve, you're probably going to like this one.

Care and Maintenance

Use only water based lubes. It would be a serious shame to harm this toy.

Boil it. Bleach it. Toss it in the top drawer of your dishwasher. Just wash it with antibacterial soap. Cover it with a condom. Silicone is ridiculously easy to care for.

Don't worry about storing it with your other silicone toys. Here, on Eden's forum, Metis Black from Tantus says that they store their toys unpackaged in bins in the warehouse with no adverse effects. Since reading that, I've been storing my silicone toys in drawers and boxes and bags together, and I've never had a problem. All of my silicone is still in tact, feeling the same as it has since I received it.

Packaging

All of the Tantus toys I've received have come in clear plastic boxes with an orangey-red writing on the sides describing how to use and care for the toy, and all the features of the toy. The toys usually are resting in a molded plastic clamshell for protection. The packaging isn't altogether discreet, but it allows the customer to see the product and know what they're getting into should they come across it in a physical toy store.

Personal comments

Yeah, yeah, I hear ya. I don't like toys that look like the real thing, so why would I like toys that feel like the real thing?

I dunno. Maybe it's because even with all the awesome toy designs, and bells and whistles that are constantly getting better, I still prefer the real thing. That's not to say I don't like masturbating with toys. I do. Maybe a little too much. But a real cock is so much better.

I know you other cock-lovers are with me on this.

I haven't tested how vibrations travel through the Curve because, for me, the whole purpose of buying a dildo is masturbation without vibration. I rarely even use a bullet when using a dildo these days. And with how perfectly the Curve lines up with my g-spot, and that delicious drag I mentioned, I think vibration would be entirely too much stimulation for me.
