Mantoy - strap-on dildo discontinued by Whipspider rubberworks - review by TacoODoom

It's an enigma, it's a quandary, it's, it's, okay it's just a dildo. But it's a very beguiling dildo! Weighing approximately half a pound, the Mantoy is a satisfying girthy mass of hypo-allergenic silicone. It's been described as both a monument to the phallus, as well as “a big gray doodie”. As far as I'm concerned, it's an awful lot of fun and a total pain in the ass (but not literally).

To me, it looks like an odd rock, its swirling mottled grey with its slight shimmer only emphasizes this. The carving like grooves that adorn this device of pleasure are evocative of a “tribal” tattoo, not unlike one you'd see spanning the bicep of one of those shirtless wonders that live at the beach from May to September (despite the fact sun is reallllly bad for tattoos). These grooves don't translate to texture, you don't feel them at all; they do however collect lube and well, other stuff, and are kind of a pain to clean out. Its meaty 6 inch circumference paired with a 6 inch insertable length makes this a filling toy. A little tooooo filling if you're using it for anal. I know I'm rather petite, but I think it's just a little too long for my bum, but let me emphasize that's just my bum. The nice long oval base makes it safe for anal use as well as harness compatible and if you CAN get it all the way in your butt, the base is comfy betwixt the cheeks but I still think it's way too long for prolonged wear (use? Insertion? Time in the butt? pick a verb and run with it.)

The silicone is soft and supple, so its girth isn't overwhelming, but alas, as with most softer silicones, it's a lint magnet and it does cling to odors like no one's business. With that caveat, I recommend condoming it for butt use, just to make clean up easier. Let's face it, those carvings don't add sensation, no sense in having to scrub “whatever” out of all those niggly little crevices if you don't have to. All this said, where this toy really shines is in thrusting. You see, the whole shape of the toy, despite its lumpy, unassuming appearance, is sort of twisted, which makes slow strokes feel sensuous and surprising, but its softness and the give of the silicone make aggressive thrusting possible. I'm a girl who likes it a bit on the rough side, and my hubs can “bang me like the screen door in the Wizard of Oz” with this toy and the next day I don't wake to that gross feeling of having overdone it.

Now to the boring bit:

Clean with soap and water, toy wipes, 10% bleach solution, top rack dishwasher, boil for 3 min, autoclave, etc.

DO NOT use lubes that contain silicone because they may interact, when in doubt do a test spot on an inconspicuous spot.

ALWAYS rinse your toy before use and clean after.

This toy comes in a plastic baggie with a little bit of paper featuring the company info, no bells and whistles, which i'm cool with.

If you're looking for something girthy and filling that doesn't look like your average toy and isn't a nauseating shade of pink, the Mantoy is for you! It does need little love and care when cleaning due to all the grooves, but it's worth the effort.

I still love the way it feels, the way it squishes, the designs… BUT, it's such a pain in the ass to clean with all those little grooves that I don't reach for it often.
