Nubby G wand - glass g-spot dildo discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by ViVix

The Nubby G wand is perfect for g-spot stimulation, vaginal penetration, and anal penetration provided that you care for a more intense entrance as brought on by the small nubs that cover the majority of its "body." I cannot say whether Nubby is good at reaching the p-spot as I am only reviewing from the female perspective. The tapered head and the two bulbs varying in size at the end make this toy a winner for anyone who wants to experience a variety of sensations. The decorative flower pattern in the end of the toy makes it attractive for collectors.

The Nubby is perfect for glass connoisseurs and beginners alike. Nubby is actually my very first glass toy, and I wasn't the least bit intimidated by him. Though there are some safety precautions, I feel that they have been beaten into every review I've read, and even beginners will recognize these precautions.

To err on the safe side: when using a glass toy, be especially careful to not bruise the cervix while thrusting. These toys should immediately be discarded if they chip, though the glass is made to break into chunks instead of shards. These toys can be warmed or chilled, preferably by running under warm or cool water. The Nubby could be hurt by an extreme change in temperature that might be caused by freezing and then warming or getting too hot and then instantly chilling. Be careful not to warm the Nubby too intensely lest you burn your bits. Always take precaution when using any toy anally if you have little experience. This particular glass toy does have two "knobs" at the end, but there is not a large flared base.

Obviously, this is one of the ever-coveted glass toys. The head of this dildo is actually rather small. In fact, the two bulbs at the end of the toy are very similar in width to the head. There are small bumps or nubs all down the shaft of the Nubby. They are similar in size to the paper dots candy that I used to eat as a kid. There are around thirty of them, and since the texture is so different from the smooth glass, it is easier to feel them. I don't find the firm feeling of the glass to feel anywhere near the same as penetration by an actual partner. This may be a pro or a con depending on your personal preferences. I thought that perhaps with warming it, it would take on a more familiar feel, but it really doesn't. This dildo does have some serious weight to it compared to most other materials, so be careful not to drop it, especially if you are lubing it up quite a bit. I do not believe this dildo would be good for harness play as the base is fairly small, and it is quite breakable.

The Nubby comes in three color choices: baby pink/clear, blue/clear, clear/pink. I received the clear/pink, and I only notice a slight pinkish tint if I hold the toy up to the light. If it is laying on my skin, it basically just looks clear. However, in the end bulb, there is a green, yellow, orange, and white flower design. I do enjoy the look, yet I find it to be an odd color combination as well.

In my opinion, the Nubby is slightly less curved than many other g-spot toys, but it still finds mine rather well. I would also prefer a more emphasized head and possibly a greater size difference in the end knobs. The weight is rather nice.

This is not a toy meant to benefit size queens. As stated, this is my 1st glass toy, and it was smaller than some of my other dildos. I would say it's probably average length in comparison to the typical male, but it has a smaller circumference than what I'm used to. I do find that the flower makes this more suited towards females as well as 2 of the 3 color options involving pink.

The entire purpose of the Nubby G wand is in the name, and this dildo does work well for me as a g-spot stimulator. I haven't measured exactly, but I would guess that my g-spot is somewhere between two to three inches in, and this seems to be typical. As far as glass toys go in general, temperature play seems to be a favorite. I did enjoy my temperature play, though the first time it was unintentional as I just inserted it straight out of the box. It was rather cold, and I enjoyed it quite a bit after the initial shock. I also enjoy ice play, so I am not entirely new to the idea of temperature play. Beginners should exercise extra care to avoid burns when warming.

Glass is well-known for its ability to be sterilized, shared, and easily cared for. Boil it, put it in the dishwasher, use soap and water, use wipes, use liquid toy cleaner, or use a 10% bleach solution. You can clean it in so many ways! It can be stored in the provided bag, which I will explain more in the packaging section. However, if you are storing multiple glass toys, you are going to want to use extra precaution. No need to worry about toys with other materials coming into contact with this nor a possible lubricant leak harming this toy. Any kind of lubricant can be used with this toy, but be careful because it is slippery when wet!

The Nubby came in a red velvet drawstring bag, which was a lot thinner than I would prefer. In addition, the bag doesn't match the one shown on the product page for Eden. It's my understanding that these bags used to be exceptionally nice and well made, but it seems times have changed. The Nubby was wrapped with bubble wrap inside of the bag, and one edge of the bubble wrap is hard to allow for Nubby to be rolled easily back up. I would suggest that you keep the bubble wrap unless you replace the thin drawstring bag that is included. In addition, be especially careful because the drawstring does not pull tight and stay tight.

There were no instructions included with this toy, but it is pretty self-explanatory. That being said, I would love to see a "suggestions" booklet as well as some safety information. I would have even enjoyed looking at a small catalogue of similar products.

I would not gift the Nubby in the provided bag. It is simply not nice enough. If you intend to gift or even regift this toy to someone, I would suggest buying something nicer for storage.
