The Love Rider is a strapless strap-on type dildo, making it suitable for use for pegging, gender play, or even double penetration between two partners. It is made from pure silicone, making it completely non-porous and super easy to clean. It can also be sterilized by boiling. It is a bit on the rigid side, but that firmness comes in handy by allowing the Love Rider to keep its shape and proper angle when being used.

Being pure silicone, the Love Rider has no smell, and although we didn't try to taste it, it should not have any taste either. When we first handled it, I thought it felt rather stiff, but that stiffness seems to help it keep its form when in use. It does not want to flop, fold, or become deformed in any way. The packaging advertises a satin finish, but the actual toy is extremely smooth, and does not become a lint magnet like some other silicone toys tend to do.

The Love Rider is a great looking toy, in or out of the packaging. Its absolute smoothness is immediately noticeable, making one think about how easy insertion, removal, and thrusting should be. The shape of it is spot on, which keeps the main, longer end of the dildo at the perfect height and angle during play. Not low at all, not too high, just the right amount of upward curve. There is a bit of a flattened ridge on the top of the longer side of the toy that runs nearly its entire length, adding support to help prevent any limpness.

The Love Rider's sizes are listed as 1 1/4" in diameter and 3 1/2" in length for the giver's end and 1 1/2" in diameter and 8" in length for the receiver's end. The actual lengths of the toy agree with those advertised. However, due to the bulbous shape of this toy, the given diameter dimensions do not tell the entire story. Upon measuring, the bulb on the larger end of the dildo is actually closer to 1 5/8" at it's maximum diameter than 1 1/2", tapering down to a minimum diameter of about 3/16" near where the toy bends. The bulb on the smaller, giver's side of the toy reaches 1 11/32" maximum, which is just over the advertised 1 1/4" size.

To put it quite bluntly, this toy does not work for us... yet. What I mean by that is that this toy turned out to be a bit too big for us to use at this time. The smaller end was able to be inserted into my partner's vagina without any issue and required no added lube to do so. She said that the length felt fine and while it wasn't uncomfortable, she wouldn't want the bulb to be any larger in diameter. The bigger end of the toy was slightly more difficult to get inserted into my anus, but the generous amount of lube we were using eventually allowed it to do so. From then on the amount of discomfort only increased, making us decide to abandon the idea of using this toy for pegging for the time being, until we gain more experience in that area. So for now the Love Rider will stay in its box, tucked away until we feel the time is right for us to make adequate use of it. Which is a bit of a shame, considering how appealing this toy is. It looks great, the smoothness feels wonderful, and the shape of it is fantastic. We are both looking forward to being able to frequently use this toy for gender play and pegging in the future.

Being pure silicone, the care of this toy could not be any more minimal. The cleaning instructions on the package suggest using soap and warm water or toy cleaner to wash it with, and specify that it is dishwasher safe and may be boiled to completely sterilize the non-porous surface. Other than cleaning it before and after each use, there really is no further maintenance to speak of.

As with all silicone toys, only non-silicone based lubes should be used with the Love Rider. We chose Probe's Thick and Rich anal lube, which is all natural and water based, and worked very well.

The Love Rider sits nicely in a molded, form-fitting insert made of the same clear plastic as the outer portion of the box. Flaps and tuck-in tabs at either end of the package keep it all together, but can be a bit tricky to undo. The graphics on the package are nice and somewhat understated, which draws your attention to the toy inside. All the pertinent information is included on the outer packaging, such as the material and finish of the toy, its features, and cleaning instructions.

The plastic that the box is made of it so thin and flimsy that I can't imagine using it for regular storage, as I think it would be very likely to break or tear after a short time.
