Nubby G wand - glass g-spot dildo discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by Samantha

The Nubby G wand by SSA Glass is listed as a g-spot or p-spot dildo. With two slightly flared bulbous ends leading to a bumpy and textured shaft, I can see how this would make a safe and fun anal toy despite having not tried that avenue of use.
As a g-spot dildo, the toy works great. It has as slight curve and at some angles it is just enough for me to hit that sweet spot and have an amazing orgasm...at others, however, it falls short. This toy is one that will take some experimenting if you (like me) need a very pronounced curve or a head that really 'pops' from the shaft to hit your g-spot.

My Mr. Nubby is clear with a cute little flower in the non-head shaped end. That end has two spherical shapes that bulb out, which allows for easier gripping. The other end is an unrealistic head shape...it's more like a bulbous 3D arrow. The head shaped end sort of pops out away from the shaft, lending to the g-spot stimulation the toy is designed to provide.

The nubby is made of glass, so care must be used while thrusting.

The Nubby G is made of pyrex glass, a rigid non-porous material. It has two smooth ends and a shaft with raised bumps, and the whole toy has a slight curve about it.

The bumps along the shaft were noticeable during use, and were a nice texture change from the head that I could feel while thrusting. The bumps aren't over pronounced...they're raised just enough to be felt and provide a slight change in stimulation both internal and externally along the labia. I'd say they're about as pronounced as the bumps on the Rainbow G. I still feel that the Nubby G is a good introduction into textured glass for beginners, and a great addition to a toy collection for advanced users.

Glass toys are extremely rigid, with no give at all, so care must be used while thrusting so you dont hurt yourself or your partner.

As stated before, Mr. Nubby has two different shaped ends and a slightly curved bumpy textured shaft. I wish the toy had more curve to it, but as it stands it's a really good toy for g-spot stimulation and general 'fuck myself silly'-ness.

The toy isn't very girthy, at only 1 1/8" diameter at its widest point. It's 7 1/2" long and either end allows for easy gripping and thrusting. The size and shape of the toy would be great for those built smaller or those who are new to glass, textured glass, or textured toys in general.

It's unrealistic in design but it's quite obvious what it's supposed to be used for, so it's a non-discreet at the same time. The velvet storage pouch hides the shape, so you can easily throw it in an overnight bag or purse and not raise any questions aside from 'what's that clinking sound?' if another hard object hits it.

The Nubby G performed as it should after I figured out what angle to use while thrusting the toy. I need more of a poppy head and curve to my g-spot toys (think Blue Swirl G ), but with a little alteration on the angle of thrust I can achieve the desired result. I've never used it anally, and to be honest I probably never will. It may not be very big, but it is big enough and the textured shaft lends to my hesitation in using it anally. Speaking from the g-spot use, I think this toy performs well and is a pretty addition to my collection.

Glass toys in general are extremely low maintenance, and the Nubby G is no exception. To clean, you have a variety of options - you can either wash it with antibacterial/antimicrobial soap and water, put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, boil it, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, or use your favorite toy wipes/cleaner. To store, just place in the pouch and lay it in a drawer, toy box, slide it under the bed, hide it in your closet...wherever you generally store your toys. Just be careful not to drop the toy on a hard surface or take the glass from one temperature extreme to the other. You really shouldn't microwave it, and I really wouldn't recommend putting it in the freezer.
It's made of pyrex glass, the same type of glass used for most baking dishes, but that doesn't mean you can stick this toy in the oven either! Extreme temperature changes can shock the glass and cause it to break. If it does break, it won't shatter as it's a solid core of glass, it will break off in chunks (just like if you dropped a pyrex pie pan or casserole dish) but they're still sharp, so be careful not to shock or drop the glass.
As with any glass toy, you'll want to make sure that it has no nicks, chips, or cracks before each use, and never use a toy that has them.
Glass is a non-porous material, and is compatible with all types of lubricant. You won't need a lot if any at all, as glass has no real 'drag' to it like other toy materials can have.

Mr. Nubby arrived to me wrapped in bubble wrap inside a red velvety unpadded drawstring pouch. The pouch keeps the toy clean and free of fuzzies between uses. It seems like all of SSA's glass toys come packaged this way, and I feel like they could maybe make the storage pouch padded for extra protection, because as it is the pouch does little in that aspect. The pouch, however, does hide the shape of the toy, and is good for travel...so long as you don't mind hearing a dull 'clink' when something else hard hits against it.

I like the nubby g and I would recommend it...but I guess i'm afraid of turning people away from a good toy because there are things that I think could be improved upon to make it a better toy. Namely, the curve. The picture is misleading - my unit is not curved like the display picture. It's very gentle, almost non-existent. The curve is what makes a glass G spot toy a g-spot designed toy to me.
If I could give half stars it'd be more 3 1/2. It's not bad, so I really don't want to give it a meh rating of 3. At the same time I feel like I'm kinda cheating people who have used glass toys and are expecting an amazing g-spot toy by giving it a 4.

For me, personally, it's a good toy....there are just other ones that work better and suit my personal needs. For the price, even if you don't end up liking it, it's worth the initial buy to try it.

My experience with the toy has been really good. I love glass toys, over half of my toy collection are glass. This one, however, isn't one I'd immediately grab. It's a great toy, but I have another textured glass toy, the Rainbow G that works amazingly well for me. Mr. Nubby is still a really good toy and I would recommend it to everyone from beginners to advanced users.
