Ride A New Wave!!

The New Wave is a high-quality, silicone, double-ended dildo with an unusual and beautiful modern design. It is designed for hands-free use and can be used under water, so enjoy this in the pool or tub, too.

Fun Factory suggests that this toy is designed for "lesbians", but obviously any combination of two people could share. One person could use this alone, as well. The ends are designed to give two different types of stimulation, (one for the g-spot, and one for the clitoris) and the bend in the middle is meant to transmit thrusting 'gently'. This bendy middle may be too bendy for some, as it does not allow for hard thrusting.

The medical-grade silicone is lovely to touch, and has no odor or taste. This toy is available in black or pink, and I must say, the pink is a mesmerizing neon pink. The New Wave is a joy to behold -- it's a beautiful design and color, with interesting ridges and a smooth feel.

The insertable ends are mostly rigid, as would be expected of a dildo. The middle bend, however, is extremely flexible. The whole toy is firm to the touch.

Silicone is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free and rates a 10 on the EF material safety scale.

The overall length of the toy is hard to measure due to the shape, but comes in at around 13".

EF lists the insertable length as 4 1/14" inches, but as you can see from my photo, the ridged end measures 5" long, with a smaller diameter of 1 1/4". There are four ridges on this portion of the toy, and the very end has a slight upturn designed for g-spot stimulation. It is not larger than the rest of the toy, however. The back end dips down before reaching the center bend of the "W" shape.

The smooth end has a little larger diameter of 1 1/2" and measures 6" long. This end of the toy includes a rounded bulge at the center of the "W" which is intended for clitoral stimulation.

My testing partner and I both were very excited to try this toy out! Unfortunately, we quickly found this toy to be a little disappointing. We first tried it in the suggested 'seated facing each other' position, which involved some leg-tangling. It was hard to get a good thrust in this position, and I did not feel the 'clitoral bulge' at all. The bend in the middle bends quite freely, which allows the toy to bend with each thrust.

She then suggested 'butt to butt' which did seem to work a little better for thrusting, but we both felt the toy was lacking -- she thought it could be longer and I thought it could be a little firmer overall.

It is lovely to look at and fun to play with in other ways, but as a double-insertion dildo, this toy is better suited for beginners or those looking for a gentle thrust (it does make a great mustache for funny pictures, though!).

Fun Factory silicone toys are medical-grade silicone, and as such are easy to clean. This one is no exception. The New Wave is bleachable, boilable, dishwasher safe, and of course can always be cleaned up with antibacterial soap and warm water or toy cleaner. Some silicone textures collect lint and dust, but this does not seem to be one of those toys.

As with all silicone toys, use water-based lubricants to prolong the life of your toy.

The packaging is a very nice box-within-a-box combo that is typical of high-end sex toys. The outer box is a discreet mellow gold, and opens like a treasure chest to reveal another box inside.


The box inside has a picture of the toy and the name. There is a small photo of a semi-nude couple on the box as well. Overall, the packaging is discreet and good for storage.
