Vibrating champlette - dildo discontinued by Vixen Creations, Inc - review by llellsee

Being fan of the similar Vibrating Leo dildo from Vixen Creations; I was eager to invest in another Vixen Creations vibrating dildo. With the simple design, smooth shaft and softer silicone of the Leo being a hit for me I easily opted for the Champlette as its somewhat odd proportions stood out to me.

Packaging:

The Champlette arrives in Vixen Creations usual style of packaging, a sturdy clear plastic cylinder which (unless you are pretty short of storage space) is also ideal for long term storage of the toy too.

On the front and back of the tube there are stickers with the Vixen creations logo. The back sticker is full of information on the material used aswell as information on how to best care for your Vixen Creations toy. This tube feels incredibly sturdy and if you already own other ‘tubed’ Vixen toys then these tubes are easily stacked on top of each other meaning that they not necessarily as space consuming as they can seem. They are great for making sure that toys don’t get dented or misshapen during storage.

Appearance/First Impression:

Seeing the Champlette in person I was instantly impressed with its dazzling purple colouring and the shimmering shades that reflect off the toy. Depending on lighting, the vibrating Champlette can either appear to just be a shiny deep purple or it can show shades of deep blues and purples in a pattern that reminds me of the patterns you would usually only see occurring in some gemstones. In darker lighting the whole toy appears to be a shade of royal blue rather than purple.

The shaft of the dildo varies in girth flaring outwards as you get further down the shaft. The head of the Champlette is quite raised in a realistic shape with a head ridge but is quite a bit smaller and slimmer than the rest of the shaft. Right under the head ridge is another, more subtle ridge which almost has the appearance of a skin fold.

The base of the vibrating Champlette is wide and flat and features a hole for the included vibrating bullet to be slipped into.

In Use:

The soft silicone used means that the Champlette bends to fit your body while the slick smooth finish of the shaft means that you can thrust without any friction other than that from the ridge which I found provides very light g-spot stimulation once it is angled and starts to bend with the curves of your body.

Switching on the bullet vibrator which sits in the Champlettes base, the single speed of vibration can be felt only at the base of the toy. Because the flat base of the Champlette is wide, it can just about reach and be pressed against the clit to provide a light level of clitoral vibration during use.

When it comes to internal vibrations though, they really are quite weak and can barely be felt in the top few inches of the Champlette. I did enjoy the vibrations around the base of the toy and wish they would have travelled through the Champlettes silicone better.

Overall the Champlettes soft silicone and small head ridge work well together to make this a stimulating experience while still being comfortable enough for most to enjoy. The vibrations of the Champlette are lacking with a single speed bullet expected to provide enough vibration to travel up through the rest of the toy; and this just doesn’t happen.

The bullet is well made, feels sturdy and even features a handy string for wrapping around your wrist during use or for helping to retrieve the bullet from the Champlettes base. Used separately the bullet is a pretty decent clitoral vibe with a good level of vibration. It is powered by three watch batteries which are included.

The thick base of the Champlette is flexible but wide enough to make it suitable for anal play and for use with an O-ring strap-on harness. The bullet in the Champlettes base will protrude when inserted so unfortunately it can’t really be used as a vibrating strap-on but the wide base does stay well put in a harness.

The soft silicone used and slimmer head means that the head ridge is still surprisingly comfortable for anal use.

Overall:

The unusual shape of the Champlette, with its smaller but realistically shaped head and thicker but slick and smooth shaft feels like no other toy I’ve tried, in terms of vibrations it’s not the most stimulating but in terms of design it’s a favourite that’s bound to get much use around here.


Material/Care:

Made of high quality silicone, The Vibrating Champlette is hypoallergenic and both Latex and Phthalates free. Silicone is completely non-porous meaning that it can be fully disinfected by boiling it in a saucepan for just 3 minutes or by throwing it into the top rack of your dishwasher or it can be simply washed after use with warm soapy water or specialized toy cleaner.

It is generally highly recommended that you don’t use silicone based lubricants with a silicone toys. I would recommend using a water-based Lube with the Champlette. I recommend either keeping it in a zip sealed bag to keep it dust free in between uses or it can be placed back in it original packaging to keep it clean and dust free too. Like alot of silicone toys, the Leo can be a dust magnet and the white colouring really shows up dust and hairs.
