Glass toys rate a 10 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale because they cannot collect and harbor bacteria. Glass has absolutely no taste or smell, and does not retain any, so for those users who have sensitivities, glass is a nice option.

This toy is completely rigid, has no give, and as such should be handled with care when using. Glass will not bend or move with the body, and therefore does not feel realistic, as it isn't meant to. This particular toy is phallic in shape but does not appear realistic to the eye. The texture on this toy is located on the shaft, and is a blue spiral going down the length of it. It is a raised texture meant to stimulate vaginally or anally, however chosen to be used.

The texture adds to the toy, but it is not too overwhelming and should be suitable whether the user is a beginner or a more advanced user. This toy can also be used for temperature play, so cool it down in an ice bath, or simply heat it up with a warm bath until it's the desired temperature. Never heat this toy up in the microwave, or boiling water, and do not put this toy in the freezer to cool it down, as this will result in serious injury. The best thing about the Blue Spiral G by SSA Glass that I found was the large bulbous head and the curve. I didn't feel the spiral texture too much, but it was slightly noticeable in use. The curve of this toy is perfect for seeking out your g-spot/p-spot whether you have a shallow or a deeper one. The shape of the head, helps to stimulate the g-spot/p-spot as well, due to the bulbous shape of it. If there were one thing I could change about this toy it would be the texture, as I would have it raised just a little bit more.

This toy does have a base, but I don't believe it would fit in any harnesses. As for a suction cup, there isn't one on this toy, so you'll have to be using your hands to thrust this one.

Glass is simple and easy to care for. When finished playing, simply wash it with warm soapy water, a toy cleaner, a toy wipe, pop it into the dishwasher, boil it, or apply a 10% bleach, 90% water solution and rinse thoroughly. Glass toys can be fully sterilized to share between partners or couples, but if you don't wish to do so you can put a condom over it. Remember that when you boil this toy or put it in the dishwasher, it will be hot upon removal, so be sure to wear heat resistant gloves or something else protective when removing it. Also remember that glass becomes slippery when wet, so be careful not to drop it as it does have the potential to scratch, chip or break.

Always remember to inspect your toys before using them for scratches or chips, and discard immediately if any are found. Always put your safety first, and save yourself a trip to the hospital. When finished cleaning, dry it off with a cloth or paper towel, or simply allow to air dry, and then return it to the pouch provided or one you've bought/made yourself. Do not store your toy around heavier objects or where something could apply too much pressure and break it. If handled with care, glass can last you a lifetime.

All SSA Glass toys come wrapped in bubble wrap inside of a non-padded, red velveteen pouch. There are no instructions given with this toy, or maintenance and care instructions provided. This makes the toy seem cheaper than it is, but nonetheless the toy itself is incredibly beautiful. The pouch itself covers the toy completely, so it is slightly discreet. Users may want to buy or make a better pouch of their own, but the pouch provided keeps it from bumping around and scratching against other toys.

The pouch itself would make a great stocking stuffer, but other than that I do not consider it to be gift friendly. Users may want to purchase a nice box or gift bag if giving this toy to a close friend or partner.
