Strapless Survivor contestant: the Tantus Feeldoe

The Feeldoe More is distinguished from other strapless dildos by its stiff, very smooth silicone, pronounced head, and a vibrator that can be felt down the length of the getter's end (second only to the Sysil:Edge in strength). It provides strong G/P spot stimulation, and the Feeldoe series is the best strapless double if you want to hold it anally (such as for double penetration).

Now going head to head: the four contenders for Strapless Survivor: The Tantus Feeldoe More, Vixen Nexus Maximus, Fun Factory Share, and the Mantric Sysil:Edge. They're all good designs, made of premium 100% silicone for safety, convenience and durability, and they're all designed for pleasure. All of these designs can potentially be used without a harness, but usually work better with a little extra support. And now for the big question: Which of these dildos will be your Strapless Survivor?

Let's meet the first contestant: the Tantus Feeldoe More.

The Feeldoe More is the largest member of the Tantus Feeldoe family, which spans a wide size range (on the getter's end) with models from the Slim's 6-1/2 x 1-3/8" to the More's 7-1/2 x 1-3/4”. Across the entire family line the Feeldoes share many features, allowing you to choose the size that suits you.

The giver's “pony” is interesting. One of the older strapless designs, the Feeldoe's pony is cylindrical and straight. It doesn't hug the giver's internal anatomy the way that many strapless doubles do, but the difference in diameter between the body and neck allow you to hold it in provided you have done a bit of work on your PC muscles. The Feeldoe is harness-compatible, and a harness definitely makes things a bit more secure (especially for anal). The same size and design of pony, measuring 1-3/8” in diameter and having 3-1/2” of insertable length, is used across the Feeldoe line. It's shaped a bit like the Tantus Ryder buttplug, making the Feeldoes by far the best choice if you want to hold the pony end anally. The Feeldoe was the only strapless to stay put during my testing when held anally.

Another common feature is the “saddle area” between the two ends. The Feeldoe saddles are enlarged and equipped with ridges designed to stimulate the clitoris and vulva, especially when combined with the vibrator. Since the clit ridges do not cradle the vulva they can miss the clit sometimes, but when in contact they work well. The saddle area makes an excellent, easily held grip for solo use. Unfortunately the connection between the saddle and the getter's end potentially allows the getter's body fluids to run down to the giver's vulva if the getter is above the giver. If you're prone to UTIs or not fluid-bonded you might want to take a bit more care in positioning or use a condom for more protection.

There is a slight difference in the saddle between the two larger Feeldoe models (More and Stout) and the smaller models. On the larger models there is an undercut where the getter's dildo joins the saddle to give them a bit more flexibility than they would otherwise have.

All of the Feeldoes sold by Eden are the vibrating models, equipped with a bullet vibe in the saddle area. The stiff silicone transmits the vibrations extremely well, making the Feeldoe one of two vibrating doubles I've tried that have consistent vibration to the tip of the getter's end. The included vibrator is a Silver Bullet powered by three coin cells, and was easy to remove. The Feeldoe is designed so you won't be poked by the end of the vibrator during use. The vibrations for the giver are concentrated at the clit ridges and are not very strong internally.

The shaft of the Feeldoe is almost glass smooth and made of very stiff silicone, stiffer than all tested models except the Sysil:Edge. Combined with the curve and very pronounced head of the More this stiff silicone provided for strong prostate or G-spot stimulation, but also made the More a bit uncomfortable in some positions unless you are careful. The smooth shaft has very little friction when lubed, which makes the Feeldoe an excellent choice if you like rapid thrusting, as there is little or no pull on the anus or vaginal opening. Note that the pronounced head makes it best to take insertion slowly, as the Feeldoe reaches its largest diameter a mere inch from the tip.

Who should choose the Feeldoe More? The Feeldoe More excels if you want to hold the dildo anally, want a strapless double that works, an effective vibrator for both partners, strong internal stimulation for the getter and rapid thrusting without irritation.

The Feeldoe More might not be the best choice if you're interested in a dildo that can be used in many positions, you want the most easily held strapless double, or do not like strong internal stimulation as the getter.

Stats:

Second stiffest in the lineup (after Sysil:Edge)
Second most easily retained (after Share)
Most pronounced head, also the biggest head.
Smoothest surface
Most internal stimulation, but can get uncomfortable in some positions.
Second strongest vibrations (after Sysil:Edge)
Experience
I wasn't sure what I would think of the Feeldoe More. Reports made this toy sound like the “little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead” - when it was good it was very very good, but when it was bad it was horrid.

Playing with the Feeldoe made me realize that it does have certain strengths and weaknesses, but if you play to its strengths it can be a very good choice. The most obvious of these strengths/weaknesses was its stiffness. The silicone bends a bit, but it definitely prefers to go in a relatively straight line. The practical implications are that you'll probably have some positions where the Feeldoe works well as well as some positions where it will be uncomfortable or you'll need to be careful during use.

The Feeldoe More has some very unique sensations during use. The stiff, smooth silicone feels almost like glass, more so than any other silicone dildo I've used. When lubed there's almost no “pull” against the anus or vaginal entrance, and most of the stimulation is concentrated inside where the head rubs. The design, with projections on the top, sides and bottom guarantees that no matter what position you choose there will be a part of the head stimulating whatever spots are available, and the slick shaft enables you to use rapid thrusts for very strong stimulation.

While the Feeldoe feels good I don't feel that I can recommend it as a first dildo, especially if you're interested in pegging. The Feeldoe requires a bit of work to figure out how to best use, and having experience with pegging certainly helps. If the Feeldoe is your only dildo you might find that it is uncomfortable when used in some positions you like. Taking all of these together I think that the Feeldoes are probably better saved for couples who are more experienced in pegging.

If you're planning on using the Feeldoe vaginally then you're more likely to have a good first Feeldoe experience. The vagina is straighter than the rectum, so there are probably more positions that will work for you, and successful Feeldoe use will require less experimentation. Note that this isn't guaranteed – there are some people who have had uncomfortable experiences with the Feeldoe used vaginally.
