Wanda sex toy review

A big plus for me is that it has a similar shape and texture to a human finger at the tip, and warms up pretty quickly to body temperature. (I actually noticed that even while just holding it in my hand.)  It can be used as a strap-on toy, and when snugged up against my pelvis, the base is fairly comfortable.

For my first review, I’ll start from the absolute beginning, from when I came home to a nondescript cardboard box sitting on my doorstep. Wanda arrived in a very sturdy USPS ‘Shoebox’. I’ve purchased from other websites where I’ve paid for shipping, and had my item arrive in a flimsy manila envelope where the mail carrier could easily tell from the feel and shape of the package (it was a realistic) what was inside! Bonus points go to Eden Fantasies on discretion.

The Wanda surprised me from the get-go. On the website, it looks very much like hard plastic, and I’d envisioned something lightweight and unyielding -- something that would float in a bathtub. In actuality, it’s pretty substantial, weighing in at over a third of a pound. The material is firm but squeezable, and it’s bendable. At an extreme, I was able to bend it at a 90-degree angle at the ribs. I even brought it to my nose and sniffed. There’s no strong odor like you sometimes get with jelly toys [editor’s note: This toy is silicone]. In fact, I found the light scent almost pleasant, although you'd really need it right under your nose to even notice. And while Wanda looked garishly bright on my monitor, it was actually a very soft powder-blue, which I liked much, much better.

One point on the subject of discretion; if you’re a Mom, you could easily hide this in with Baby’s bath toys, and no one would be the wiser. The little caterpillar face is cute and cartoony, so if you like toys that are overtly sexy, or are doing serious play involving leather, spikes or candlelight; this cheery little guy just might ruin the mood.

So. after the initial scrutiny, I got down to the serious business. I liked the fact it came with a small fold-out manual and a packet of sample lube, but in this case, I wanted to use my own. Grrltoyz beaded up on Wanda's surface; Astroglide coated it nicely.

I wasn’t sure, really, whether it was meant for vaginal, but I started there. The bends were uncomfortable, no matter which way I twisted and turned it. After a while, I found that caterpillar ‘face-on-bottom’ seemed to work better for me than caterpillar ‘face-on-top’. Still, I couldn’t get it in all the way without risking some VERY personal discomfort. I kept getting stuck on the last bulb. The flared base does make a very nice handle, though.

Well, the manual says it can be for anal use. I’ll be a trooper. More Astroglide, and – well, same thing. The bends didn’t seem to follow any of my curves, and that last joint was still a problem. Maybe it isn’t meant for full insertion; the base is pretty wide, and you’d have trouble getting the whole thing close enough to get that last bulb in, anyway. It was more a matter of getting the curvature in the right places, rather than size. Which leads me to note: if you like the ‘fullness’ or 'stretching' that comes with some anal toys, this probably isn’t for you. I don’t claim to be a seasoned backdoor expert, but there was no real ‘stretching’ sensation to me, even when it was in as far as it could go. For true novices, though, this may be just the introduction they need – that cute little face certainly doesn’t hurt matters!

But the news isn’t all bad. On the upside, I discovered that in both cases (after I stopped trying to push it further than it wanted to go), using it as ‘beads’, or sliding it in and out just up to the second joint worked pretty well. I might recommend shaving, though, as the material is the type that could snag and pull hair, if you aren’t careful.

All in all, it could just be my unique shape and preferences that led to the insertion issues; right now I'm used to straighter objects. I have absolutely no doubt that there’s folks out there who’ll love it, and to be honest, the more I look at it, the cuter it gets, and the more I wish it was a better fit for me. Hey, I might just give it another go, in case it’s something that will eventually ‘grow’ on me. The same philosophy I applied to my last boyfriend, come to think of it…

Such a cute review! You done an outstading job! I loved that part at the end about the boyfriend! Ha Ha. Very nice of you to add some humor in there too. I see what you mean by the shape causing discomfort. This thing is certainly strange and it caught my attention, but I don't think it looks like a comfortable toy at all. Lol. Maybe the company were more focused on the looks rather than the fit. It does look like it would fit in with the kids toys, what a great idea!

Thanks for the review. It was a very interesting and well done one!

I was thinking of getting this for my beloved, but I was doubting the comfort of those bulbs, so thank you for clarifying. I think I'll pass.
