Worm On In, Wanda.

Overall the Wanda is a fun whimsically designed toy. As an anal probe the combination of texture, curve, and girth (each too mild on thier own) combine for an excellent experience. The triangular suction cup base is easy to hold and functioned on most (but not all surfaces). However the toy is very flexible which makes it ill suited for providing G or P spot pressure and the suction cup failed to stick on some surfaces other cups have.

Pros
Whimsical appearance, easy to grip triangular suction cup base, excellent anal probe, Green!
Cons
Not good for G/P-spot pressure; neither the diameter, texture, or curve is intense on its own.

Use

The Wanda is my first Fun Factory dildo and overall I'm very pleased with it. No single feature, other then perhaps the whimsical design, stands out. The raising of the texture is mild, the curve on it is mild and the diameter is easy to take (those looking for a dildo that is specializes in just one of those areas should look elsewhere). Although these individually wouldn't be very stimulating taken together they provide a satisfyingly stimulating experience.

It can work as a vaginal or anal dildo (the flared base will make sure the worm doesn't worm its way anywhere it is not supposed to). It can be used easily for either solo or partnered play. It is harness compatible although I don't have a harness to test it in, although I do have a Liberator Pulse and could fit it there. The suction cup base also allows for fun in many different places such as the shower or tub.

Material / Texture

The toy is made out of smooth, flexible, 100% pure silicone. Pure silicone is one of the best materials around, because it is tasteless, orderless, non-porous, free of nasty chemicals (i.e. phthalates and latex) and can be easily cleaned and sanitized.

    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

Those who are familiar with Fun Factory know they are masters at fun, whimsical, shapes. The Wanda is a fantastic example. The shape resembles that of a cute little worm. It doesn’t look much like a sex toy, at a distance (or in an x-ray scanner) it would look more like a worm shaped decoration.

The worm theme starts with the head, which has a little face on it consisting of two dots for eyes with two little eyebrows above it. It is very cute. The slightly S shaped shaft continues the worm theme mimicking the segmented body of a worm by alternating between a thin body segment and thicker body segment. The tip of the worm is about 2/3” of an inched with the final segment being approximately 1.4” in diameter. The worm stands a total of 6.5” inch in height, 5.5 of which is insertable.

The base is not round like most bases it is instead, a suction cup base in the shape of an equilateral triangle with each side being roughly 3 inch in diameter. The base has the Fun Factory logo imprinted on it. This is the first toy I’ve had with a triangle base, I found it very ergonomic and easy to hold.

Overall the shape is perfect for those looking for something cute and whimsical, those with Scoleciphobia…have probably already left this page. The small starting and max diameter means you don’t have to be a size queen to enjoy this toy. Although the alternating segments as well as the curvature are mild ,so you don't need to be advanced to enjoy this toy, there still a bit too much going when taken as a whole to recommend this for a complete novice.

Lastly, I got this toy in a lovely shade of green but it is also available in blue.

Performance

Overall, the dildo performed well. The best use for this is for thrusting being male I can only comment on thrusting this anally. The combination of the curvature and the raised portion combined provided a unique sensation when being thrust in and out anally, it is feeling the curve and the alternation of raised and lower portions together and repeatedly that makes this work so well. The flexibility of this dildo makes it unlikely you’re going to hurt yourself with an overly vigorous thrust. However, this flexibility makes it poorly suited to providing pressure for G-spot or prostate stimulation. Overall, this makes an excellent anal probe.

In terms of insertion, the diameter of the tip is easy to insert although I could not feel much of the "face", and the silicone is smooth and becomes nicely slick when lubed, however because of the flexibility you may need to lend a hand to help guide it. Lastly, I found the triangular base very easy to grip and although this is my first such base I am now a fan of them.

Although I don't have a harness as mentioned above, I do have a Liberator Pulse and two notes. First, although I can get the toy in it can be hard to get the base in between the foam sometimes I only insert it half way and leave part of it between the foam and the microfiber. Secondly, although I love using my Pulse I don't find this to be the best dildo for it. The rocking motions of the Pulse are better suited for more of providing an internal massage then all and out thrusting, which is what the Wanda is good at, I prefer something with more texture or P-spot pressure for the Pulse and Wanda can't provide that. If I want a hands free experience I rather suction in to my shower and use it that way.

On that note, lastly, the suction cup worked well however it is very hit or miss, the surface it sticks to, bath tub, glass and wood tables and furniture it sticks to extremely well, however other surfaces that other suction cups have stuck to i.e. the walls in the house this one doesn't get any suction on.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is easy to care for. To clean silicone just use hot soap and water, if you are sharing your toys with a non-fluid bonded partner (or are going between orifices) sanitize your toy by either cleaning it with a ten percent bleach solution, putting it on the top rack of your dishwasher with no soap, or boiling it for three minutes. For the most through home cleaning you can get (unless you got an autoclave lying around) use a pressure cooker for 20 minutes at ten PSI.

Silicone toys can have a bonding reaction with silicone lube so I don’t recommend using them with this toy. If silicone lube is must for you, you can do a small test patch on the bottom of the toy to test if a reaction occurs.

Silicone toys don't have any special storage requirements, although many put them in storage bags to be on the safe side. Which is not a bad idea, because they do tends to be a lint magnets.

Packaging

The toy comes in a very tasteful cardboard and plastic packaging. The cardboard has a grey, red, and beige color scheme. Two sides of the packaging have a slit in them which let you see the toy inside the inner plastic packaging, another side has general information about Fun Factory dildos, with the final side having information about the Wanda. It is not suitable for storing your toy again after opening it.

It comes with a multi-language (DEU, ENG, FRA, ESP, ITA, RUS) pamphlet that has points about this and other Fun Factory Toys along with a free packet of lube.

Great review, namelesschaos. Do you thrust with it so that the curves are in the navel-spine plane, or the hip-hip plane? (We should come up with a better way to describe that---do you understand what I'm asking?)

I really liked that base too for solo play, and I have mixed feelings with the new base Fun Factory designed. It's like that base but cut flat. It may be better for harness play, but won't feel as nice when handheld. Oh well, I wonder if that's a toy that will be reissued; Fun Factory seems to be distancing itself from the whimsicality, but I could be proves wrong with new designs.
