The Elegance is yet another in the G4 line from Fun Factory. It is similar to a traditional vibrator, in size and design. It has the deep rumble that I love and have come to expect from the G4 line. Unlike some of its friends in the line, it isn't an abstract flower or insect shape. So, if the thought of using a flower or a worm to get off doesn't appeal to you, maybe the Elegance is the one for you.

It can be used internally and externally in a variety of ways. You can use the deep rumble of the Elegance to stimulate various erogenous zones, from nipples to testicles. It can be used for clitoral stimulation, either by using the tip for more intense, focused stimulation or resting the shaft against your clitoral area for stimulation of your labia and clitoral area more broadly. You can use the Elegance for vaginally stimulation, by placing it and allowing it to stimulate you, or by thrusting it. You can angle the shaft for more focused G-spot stimulation.

Although Fun Factory doesn't advise the Elegance be used for anal stimulation because it lacks a flared base, if you or your partner kept a firm grip and a finger or two looped through the handle you could manage it.

I'd say this is a great toy for couples or for solo use. It would be a nice toy for beginners because it has a variety of uses, is made of safe materials and is fairly benign in appearance, but it has a lot of power on the higher settings. New users could ease into the intensity offered by the Elegance at their own pace. It's a high quality rechargeable toy, and would be a worthwhile investment.

The Elegance is made of silicone and plastic. The insertable portion is silicone, and the handle is made of plastic. Silicone rates a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. The silicone used on this toy is hypoallergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. If you've ever used any of the G4 vibrators from Fun Factory, you know the silicone tends to be a little on the rough side. It has a rough, nearly sandpaper like texture. There is a lot of drag to the surface. I don't consider this to be a negative, as I enjoy the texture. There is no texture aside from the light roughness of the surface and the slight ridges that make up the asymmetrical shaft. The silicone is squishy and flexible, and the shaft has some bend to it. When you look at the pointy tip of the toy you expect it to be uncomfortable when it pokes you, but the tip is amazing for comfortable pinpoint stimulation.

The plastic used on the handle is smooth and shiny. Plastic rates an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. The buttons are made of a softer plastic and are comfortable to press. The inside of the loop of the handle is a mirrored, shiny surface, which is smooth to the touch.

Although the surface of the shaft isn't shiny and smooth, I wouldn't say the texture should scare off any beginner users. There aren't nubs or extreme ridges, and the silicone has a nice give to it that ensures your comfort.

There is no smell or taste to any part of the Elegance. There are no visible seams or imperfections in the silicone or plastic. Every part of the Elegance is well made and high quality.

Resembling a pointed, asymmetrical banana a little bit, the Elegance is hard to explain. It isn't phallic, but it isn't whimsical. It has slightly traditional looks, with a few tweaks. It comes to a point and has some flattened sides and some rounded sides. It does allow you to decide exactly how much diameter you would like when you use it for insertion, and the increase is gradual. You can just use the tip, or push yourself to a wider diameter. Although it doesn't look like a penis exactly, I would think that anyone seeing it would be able to tell what it is, so I don't suggest leaving it out on your dresser.

The overall length of the Elegance is 8 1/2 inches, with a 6 inch insertable length. At its widest point, the shaft measures just over 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I do think the Elegance is a bit on the girthy side, but the shape allows you to use that maximum diameter, or choose your own diameter by not inserting the whole toy. There is a slight curve to the shaft of the Elegance, so it helps you angle it to connect to the G-spot.



The Loop of Love makes the toy comfortable to hold and manipulate. I find it sits nicely in my hand. The handle does transmit a bit of the vibration of the toy, so you can feel it in your hand a bit while you're holding it.

I suppose you could travel with the Elegance, but I would store it in your checked bags to avoid the raised eyebrows of the TSA. It is obviously some sort of sex toy.

The controls of the Elegance are very user friendly. There are three buttons: a plus, a minus and a star. Pressing the plus button turns it on. Pressing the plus again cycles you through the levels of intensity. The Elegance offers intensity that is amazingly strong on the higher levels. There are 5 in all. Pressing the minus button will cycle you down through the levels.

The star button is the boost button, which will cycle you through the patterns. You can press the star button on any of the five intensity levels, and it will change to a pattern but remain on the intensity setting you started with. The patterns consist of three different speeds of pulse and a rolling pulse. I'm not a pattern person, so I tend to stick with the steady settings when using this toy.



The vibrations themselves transfer very well throughout the entire toy. The entire shaft transfers the vibrations equally, in fact I think the tip is extremely powerful. The Elegance is very quiet considering how much power it provides. I'd say that you wouldn't be able to hear it through a closed door, no matter what setting you are using. The Elegance is easily a solid 4 vrooms on the highest setting, with a deep rumble and not a bit of buzz. It is completely waterproof and submersible. After multiple trips to my bathtub, it is still going strong.

The handle of the toy has magic touch technology, so when you hold the handle, the area where the buttons are lights up a yellowish color briefly. This allows you to see the buttons if you're using the Elegance in the dark. That feature is used on each of the toys in the G4 line, and is a fun little addition.



The Elegance uses the Fun Factory Click and Charge technology. The plug-in adapter has a magnetic disc that attaches to the toy. On the handle of the Elegance is a small "FUN" logo, and when you hold the charger disc close to that spot, it clicks right on. When it's charging, the wording on the disc glows red. Be aware that it can be a little tricky to get it to stay charging. If the disc gets shifted it may lose its connection, so be sure to put it somewhere it won't be bumped while it's charging. On the higher settings, my fully charged Elegance can last up to 50-60 minutes. It will last longer on the lower settings.

You can use a mild soap and water or a toy cleaner to clean the Elegance. Because it has a motor, you can't boil it to sterilize it, or place this toy in the dishwasher. You should avoid using silicone lubes to avoid a negative reaction with the silicone of the toy. Any water based lube can be used with the Elegance. You may need a bit of lube because of the rougher texture of the silicone. I find that using a bit of lube when you start playing works well, and helps make inserting the toy easier until I make enough of my own natural lubrication.

The Elegance can be stored in the box it came in, which is well designed for storage. If you choose to store it somewhere other than the box it came in, be sure to avoid storing it in contact with other silicone toys. If you store silicone toys touching each other, they will damage each other.

There are no nooks and crannies that hide fluids or make cleaning difficult. I find the Elegance an easy toy to care for.

I enjoy the packaging of the Elegance. There is an outer sleeve, and an inner box. On the outer sleeve, the toy is pictured, nearly life size, on the front and sides. The outer sleeve also notes that the toy is made of silicone, has multiple speeds, and is a vibrator. There is also an amusing pictograph which advises you to not insert the toy anally. Inside the inner box, there is the toy itself, the charger and the instruction booklet. The Elegance sits in place with a few cardboard spacers to keep it from moving around.

The Elegance comes with an informative instruction booklet, which gives you more than enough information to care for the toy and become familiar with using it. I think it is certainly classy looking enough to gift to someone.

The odd asymmetrical nature of the Elegance may seem like it won't work for you, but it really gives you a lot of options on how to use it.

I have found that I really enjoy holding my labia open and using just that tip, which is flexible and really transmits the rumble of the vibrations, to stimulate my clitoris. It's a VERY intense sensation that nearly always pushes me over the edge quickly. I'll alternate between touching my clitoris and just massaging a breast or playing with a nipple. The variation of low level sensations and the WOW of the intense clitoral vibrations are a winning situation.

I also really like to rotate the Elegance while I insert it, or while thrusting. That ridge that almost comes to a point all along the shaft causes some pretty great sensations when it's slowly turned or rotated internally. It's like a textured toy being rotated.

The Elegance shaft has an amazing flexibility, while still providing the firmness I need. I also really enjoy resting the raised ridge portion of the shaft against my body, tucked inside my labia. With small movements of my hips, I can rock and glide against that ridge, and it feels amazing. I love the deep rumble of the Fun Factory G4s, I just can't get enough of them.

There is something to mention regarding the G4 Elegance and the Eden Wipes that are offered as a free gift. If you tend to use the wipes for toy clean up, be aware that the rough surface of the silicone used for the G4 vibes tends to grab and hold on to the fibers of the wipes, leaving behind quite a bit of fibrous white debris. You end up with a toy more in need of a cleaning than when you started.
