The Ben Wa Balls, by Nasstoys, are designed to work out your vaginal muscles, specifically your Kegels. The two Ben Wa Balls are weighted to an exact standard to provide you with the best muscle workout possible. The products packaging states that this toy can be used both vaginally and anal. While the toy does have a string attached for easy removal, I personally would not recommend using this toy for anal penetration. Your rectum is likely to suck the Ben Wa Balls right up into you with or without a string and no one likes a trip to the hospital. The Ben Wa Balls are lightly weighted balls and have outer and inner parts. The outer shell of the toy is soft and sort of pliable. The inner structure moves freely about, causing slight vibrations that can easily be felt both when wearing and when I held them in my hand. This toy can be warn around the home, out on errands, or even during anal play. These Ben Wa Balls are designed for a beginner to vaginal exerciser as they are relatively small and not as heavy as other brands.

Nasstoys Ben Wa balls are made of a plastic material that is hypo allergenic, latex free, and contains no Phthalates. The outer shell of this toy is soft and flexible to the touch. It has a slight plastic like smell to it, but only if you stick the toy up against your noise. The material has does have a drag to it and I needed to use lubricant in order to easy the toy into me. The plastic is a non-porous substance, so care and maintenance of this product is easy. Plastic based toys can be used with any lubricant, water, oil or silicone.

The Ben Wa Balls are designed to be discreet and user friendly. Each Ball has a circumference 4 1/2 inches and a diameter of 1 1/2 inches, about the size of an apricot. The total length of this toy is 5 inches and all of it, including the string, can be inserted. Most of the string is coated in the same plastic substance as the outer lay of the balls. The string is built into the toy for easy removal. Simply reach up and grab the sting and pull to dislodge each ball. The total weight of the product is 0.2 lbs, which I found provided enough weight to be felt, but didn't cause pain or make my muscles feel sore after use. The toy's inner part move and rotate creating vibrations which can be felt as you wear them or even when held in your hand. I found that every little movement I made set small vibrations radiating through me. While this product is easy to travel with, simply slip them in you and off you go. If I danced around or did any sort of jumping you could hear the balls moving and bumping together. So if your planning on wearing these to the gym discreetly you may wish to rethink it. The Ben Wa Balls comes in two colors, baby pink and a light purple. As a beginner to vaginal exercisers myself, I feel this toy was a great size and weight for me.

When I first opened the Ben Wa Balls I found them to have more drag to them then I'd expected. I was expecting them to have a smooth texture that would glide over my skin. To insert them I used my Wet International Platinum lubricant, which is a silicone based lube. I thought that by using a silicone based lubricant it would make removing the Ben Wa Balls easier and decrease the amount of drag I would feel. Removing them, even with the use of silicone based lubricant, was not pleasant. The drag I felt along my vaginal walls, as I gentle pulled them out was not comfortable at all, almost painful. I would describe the sensation to be similar in feeling to dragging a rubber eraser across my skin. On the other hand, while inside me the Ben Wa Balls were lots of fun. With each move I made such as bending over, walking up stairs, or shifting while sitting, the balls would move together creating a great vibrating sensation throughout me. In terms of strengthening my kegel muscles, when the toy was in place I didn't feel a need to squeeze my muscles, but with each movement and vibration it would remind me to squeeze around them. Besides the discomfort I felt when removing the toys, the Ben Wa Balls performed exactly as I expected them to and were perfect for me to use as a beginner.

This product is easy to care for and simple to store. Made of a plastic material this toy can be sprayed down with an anti-bacterial toy cleaner, washed with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, or even wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. Which ever method of cleaning you choose be sure to wipe your toy dry with a clean dry cloth. Plastic is a non-porous material which makes it easier to care for. Even so you should be sure to clean this toy before and after each use. I store my Ben Wa Balls in the plastic case they came in so they would not collect any lint or other small particles.

I really liked the Ben Wa Balls' packaging. The name of the product is written at the top of the plastic packaging and around it are words like, explore, experience, enjoy, and ecstasy. These word draw you in, and make you want to experience what the packaging claims. The balls were packed in two little ball shaped groves that centered over a woman's naked body. The packaging also states that the product is waterproof and promises a silky, smooth, luxurious finish.
