Blue babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by Buttercup Green

Packaging:
This beautiful babydoll came to me on a padded, silky hanger. It was in a plastic bag to prevent any damage during shipping. There is a raised knob on each side of the hanger. This prevents the babydoll from slipping off the hanger. There are also silver colored clips on each side, which is where you hang the thong up. Attached to the babydoll by a safety pin is the Coquette tag. On the front of the tag is a picture of the model wearing the babydoll. The tag opens, and there are two more pictures showing off the front and back of the lingerie. The back of the tag says the color of the lingerie and the size. There is a little plastic bag attached to the tag that holds the optional straps. The bag can be resealed, and be used as storage for the straps.









Design/Material/Quality:
The tag located inside of the babydoll states the material as 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The design is super feminine in my opinion. It can be worn inside the bedroom as a sexy outfit, or you can pair with your favorite pair of jeans and rock out in public.
The chest area is a pretty blue fabric that is topped with a black floral lace. There are ruffles that run all along the top of the babydoll. It is not itchy or irritating. The ruffles are pretty soft. There is no underwire, which means there is no support for those of us with larger breasts. If I do not wear the straps, I find myself constantly pulling the top up because my boobs drag the top down. There is some slight padding, which prevents hard nipples from showing. There are no hook closures on this. It's a simple pull over your head type of lingerie.

Underneath the chest area is a 3 inch section of a stretchy material called lycra. It is stretchy, smooth, and feels a lot like satin. This belt-like section goes all the way around the lingerie. There are two buttons that are supposed to look like diamonds, but they are just plastic. They do add that little sparkle to the top, and it does not make it look cheap in any way. They are not sewn on very well, so they could possibly fall off.

The bottom is composed of two different layers. Both layers look and feel like mesh. If there were not two layers, you would definitely be able to see through the bottom. I have not had a problem with the bottom being see through. The hem is stitched with the same color blue that is in the chest area. This really emphasized the blue, and it helps make the bottom appear to be flowing away from the body. If you have problem areas (who doesn't?) this is a great piece of lingerie to hide those flaws and feel super sexy. The layers are super easy to hold out of way during sex.
The first picture below shows how see through the first layer of the bottom is. The second is my hand underneath both layers. The third is the blue hem.





With this babydoll comes the option to wear it with or without straps. Being a C cup, I find that the straps help give me some support. Plus the straps prevent the top from slipping down. I do not find the straps to be any more uncomfortable than a bra strap would be. There are loops in the front and back. This is where you hook the straps into. The straps measure 14 inches long (not stretched), and they can be adjusted to fit your body. They feel soft, and they do not dig in too much.





The thong is made of the same soft lycra material. I really like the way it feels on my skin, but I do not like the way it fits my body. It does not cover my whole front, and the straps are so stretchy that is feels loose. I feel like they are going to fall down around my ankles any moment. My thong came without a liner too. I am happier wearing my favorite black boyshorts when I wear this.

Coquette's size chart for the large is as follows:
Bust~38-40,C cup
Hips~40"-42"
Waist~30"-32"
Dress size~12-14
I ordered a large, and here is my chart:
Bust~38 C
Hips-44 1/2"
Waist~36 1/2"
I wear a size 17 in jeans.
Even though the charts do not match up, I had no problem fitting into this number. The band under the chest is not super tight, and the bottom is "flowy" around the tummy and hip area. If it was a clingy type of top, I would have had to go up a size. The cups are a little big for my C boobs. I definitely think a D cup would fill out the cups better. Anything less than a C would just drown. The thong is a little loose, but I do not like thongs that much anyways. I weigh 165, I have huge hips, and the large fits wonderfully.
The total length of the babydoll is about 20".

I think this piece will look good on just about anyone. I am always aware of my flaws, and this helped hide them so I can focus on being sexy for my man.

Cleaning:
The tag suggests that when it comes to cleaning this one, hand washing in a mild detergent is the best way to go about it. After you are done, let it hang dry. I have put it in a pillowcase and washed it on the cold, gentle cycle in my washing machine. It did not harm it one bit. I would never suggest putting this in the dryer. Only machine wash if you are comfortable doing so.

This has remained a favorite of ours. The entire piece looks like new after multiple washings, and I haven't noticed any loose strings. I threw the included thong away, but I rarely wear thongs. It was a comfortable one, but I knew I would never wear it. This is a great piece to wear in and out of the bedroom, and I still recommend this to anyone.
