Flores is a dual stimulation vibrator, which just means that it stimulates internally and externally at the same time. The shaft is inserted while the arm of the toy lies against the clitoris. When using the toy like this, the swirled piece that sits below the clitoral arm really doesn’t have any function- it just looks neat. The toy can be used anywhere because it’s completely waterproof.

While most people will probably use the toy as I had explained above, there are a few other ways it can be used. The toy can be used during couples play for double penetration (your partner penetrating the anus and the toy inserted vaginally, or vice versa). I wouldn’t recommend this toy for external stimulation during sex because of its larger size. There are smaller toys available that don’t get in the way like Flores does.

The clitoral arm or shaft of the toy can be inserted anally, regardless of gender. The clitoral arm can be inserted vaginally while the shaft lies against the clitoris and the decorative swirl piece sits between the bum cheeks. Or, you can insert the clitoral arm vaginally and have the shaft between your bum cheeks and the swirl against your crotch. I don’t do anal penetration so I’m not certain, but I think that if you were using the toy this way that you could insert the shaft anally.

Flores is available in the colours pink or lime green. I have the lime green Flores. The majority of Flores is made of silicone. All of the lime green parts to the toy are the silicone and the base, which is a light green colour, seems to be plastic. There is no scent or taste to the toy.

The silicone has a bit of give to it and is flexible. I can flex the shaft so that the ribs on the head of the toy are touching the ribs at the back of the shaft. The clitoral arm is also flexible. I can bend it so that the back of the arm touches the top of the base.

There is a bit of texture to the head and shaft of Flores. There are 5 ribs that run around the entire head. They first rib starts ½ of an inch down from the tip of the head. There are also 5 ribs that run horizontally around the shaft, near the bottom of the insertable portion. I could easily feel the ribs to the toy when it was inserted. If you know you don’t like texture or are new to toys, I wouldn’t recommend Flores.



The rest of the toy is smooth, though Flores has seam lines. There are seam lines that run up the front and back of the shaft, as well as up the front and back of the clitoral arm. The seam lines are fairly noticeable. Those who are seam-sensitive may have a problem with the seams to Flores. There is a bit of drag to the material but this can easily be remedied with lubricant. Being silicone, only water-based lubricants should be used with Flores.

The total length of Flores is approximately 9 ¼ inches. The insertable length measures 5 inches. The head of the shaft and clitoral arm both remind me of an unclosed tulip. The head of the shaft is bulbous, and tapers to a tip. The length of the head is 2 3/8 inches long, with a circumference of 4 ¾ inches at its largest. Directly beneath the head, the shaft has a circumference of 3 1/8 inches. As you move down the shaft, it gets a bit wider. The circumference at the very bottom of the insertable portion is 4 ¾ inches. Below is a size comparison photo of Flores beside a 500mL bottle of water.



The head of the clitoral arm measures 1 ½ inches in length and has a circumference of just less than 3 inches at its largest. Beneath the bulbous head on the clitoral arm, the circumference is approximately 2 ¼ inches. The swirly piece beneath the clitoral arm is also flexible. I had sent an email to the company asking them if there was any real use for the swirly piece but they have yet to email me back. I'll update this information when/if they do reply.

The clitoral arm has a length of 2 ¼ inches. The distance between the shaft and the tip of the clitoral arm is approximately 1 ¼ inches. As I had mentioned, the clitoral arm is flexible. The 1 ¼ inch distance between the shaft and arm is when I’m not bending it backwards. It can be moved so that there is a wider distance between the two if you need it.

You can travel with the toy but it’s pretty large. It's appearance is also not discreet. The included storage pouch is discreet but you may want to choose a smaller toy to conserve space in your suitcase/bag. Those who prefer the more slender insertables or those who are new to toys may not appreciate the bulbous head. I’d be more likely to recommend to a beginner a toy that has a smaller head and gradually gets larger as you move down the shaft.

Flores requires 2x AAA batteries to operate, which are included. The base of the toy (the lighter coloured area) twists off to access the battery compartment. It’s easy to both open and close the lid. There is a thin, black O-ring around the compartment to ensure that no water gets into it if you bring the toy in the bath or shower with you. The toy is waterproof but just ensure that the base is well secured to the bottom of the toy before bringing it into the water.



The toy has only two buttons. They are located on the base. It’s very easy to use. Having only two buttons, a beginner would not have any problems controlling the toy.

The button at the top has a power sign on it and the button right beneath it has a little nub on it. I’m not entirely sure why but the nub reminds me of a nipple. The power button is used to turn the toy off and on. To turn the toy on, just click that button once. You can turn the toy off at any time by just clicking that button again.



The button beneath the power button is used to cycle through the different functions. You just continue clicking this button to cycle through the functions. There are 8 functions in total and are as follows:

1. Low, constant vibration
2. Medium, constant vibration
3. High, constant vibration
4. Escalating from low to high and repeat
5. Medium pulses
6. Low, medium, high (all in a row, but not escalating or with breaks in between), 3 fast pulses, and repeat
7. 5 fast pulses followed by a long pulse, and repeat
8. Long pulse, medium pulse, 4 fast pulses, and repeat

To get back to the first function, you’ll need to cycle through all 8. If you turn the toy off and then back on, you’ll be back at the very first function (low, constant vibration) regardless of which function you had left off at. The shaft and clitoral arm are not controlled separately so if one is on, so is the other.

The vibrations are strongest in the shaft but are easily felt in the head as well. They are in between buzzy and rumbly. The vibrations in the clitoral arm were just disappointing. I need a terrible amount of power, especially for external stimulation. I would have preferred if the shaft had less power and the arm had more. Sadly, this is not the case. It also stinks that you can’t control the shaft and clitoral arm separately.

The vroom rating, on the toys highest level of power, is only about a 3- 3 ½ out of 5. It really isn’t that powerful. The power to the clitoral arm is lower. I’d say that the highest level to the clitoral arm is only a 2 out of 5. I consider myself a power-queen so I know that moderate levels that some people may enjoy are still too weak for me, but, the clitoral arm has less than moderate power. Unless you have a very sensitive clit, you’ll probably be disappointed too.

Both included manual and product page states that Flores is basically silent. I’m not sure if there is something wrong with the toy I had received but it is far from silent. The lowest level of vibration can be heard from beneath the covers and the highest level of vibration can be heard through closed doors. Since the toy I received is quite loud, I would not recommend Flores to those who need quiet toys for whatever reason (shared dorm, etc).

Cleaning Flores is not difficult because it can be completely submerged in water. This is my preferred way of cleaning the toy because you have to pay particular attention to the ribbed areas. The toy can be cleaned with soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaning spray. You can sterilize the material by wiping it down with rubbing alcohol or a bleach/water solution. This is really important to do each and every time if you’re using it anally, changing orifices (anus to vagina), or sharing the toy.

Flores can be stored inside of the packaging that it had arrived in or in the storage pouch, which is included. The included storage pouch is a deep purple colour. There are no images or text on the bag but there is a small tag on the side of the bag that has the company name/logo on it. You could easily cut the tag off. Other than the tiny tag, the bag is discreet looking. It’s a velvet bag with a drawstring closure at the top of it. It measures 4 1/8 inches wide and just less than 9 ¾ inches long.

Regardless of where you store the toy, the booklet states that it should be stored in a place with room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Batteries should be removed from the toy when it’s not in use to avoid battery corrosion.

I really like the packaging that Flores came in! The toy arrived in a rectangular cardboard box. The top of the box states the product name, company name, and has an image of the toy. There is also an image of a heterosexual couple in the background. The models in the background are fully clothed and not doing anything other than hugging. The back of the packaging states a few product features (in ten different languages), the company website, company contact information, and battery requirements.



The top of the box opens like a book. The left hand side states a bit of information about the company and has another image of the couple right above the text. The right hand side has a plastic window so you can see Flores sitting inside of the package.

What I really liked about the packaging is that the right hand side of the packaging has two little drawers. The top drawer holds the toy, which sits inside of a cut out piece of foam. The bottom drawer holds the included accessories. The included accessories are as follows: 2x AAA batteries, Dolce Ami Violetta cock ring, storage pouch, sample pack of Lust lubricant, a single toy cleaning wipe, and a booklet that acts as both a manual and a catalogue.



The packaging isn’t discreet as it has an image of the toy right at the top of the box. The cardboard packaging can be used for storage or recycled. If you want to save space, use the included storage pouch. The storage pouch fits the toy and all of the included accessories in it.

Accessories

The included cock ring is a simple, silicone band. It does not vibrate. The length of the band is 7/8 of an inch, with a 1 3/8 inch diameter. The band has the company name/logo on the front of it. The name/logo is fairly subtle because it’s the same colour as the band, which is purple. The band is very, very stretchy. I was able to stretch the band to a 14-inch circumference. There was still a bit of stretch left and could have stretched a few more inches. My partner and I haven’t tried the cock ring yet because we prefer the cock rings we own that vibrate. It was a nice addition though! You’ll have to excuse the linty look of the cock ring in the photo below. The silicone attracts lint, pet hair, etc like crazy.



The included lubricant sample is good for a one-time use and it is water-based. The package it comes cannot be resealed once it’s opened. The product page shows a travel-size container of lubricant but that’s not what I received. The lubricant sample is 6ml and the ingredients, as listed on the packaging, are as follows: Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, and Citric Acid. You may want to avoid using the lubricant sample internally because of the glycerin in the ingredients, especially if you’re prone to yeast infections and/or urinary tract infections.

The ingredients listed on the packaging to the wipe also include glycerin. The ingredients to the wipe are as follows: Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, Allantoin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Parfum, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Benzoic Acid, Lactic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, and Glycyrrhiza Glabra.

My experience with Flores was pretty disappointing. Like I mentioned, I’m a power-queen. I want both extreme power and intensely deep, rumbly vibrations. Internally, it’s more of a “want”. Externally, it’s a “need”. Flores failed to provide me with either. I am unable to be satisfied with this toy. If you need even a moderate level of power for external stimulation, you may find the Flores clitoral arm is not enough for you. As for power queens, you’ll definitely be left unsatisfied. I’d recommend the Silly Diver for those who need the freaky amounts of power in both clitoral arm and shaft.

I was also pretty shocked when I first turned the toy on. I was expecting the toy to be much quieter than it actually was. I had read the manual before using the toy and it states that it’s “low-noise”. After hearing the noise level of the toy I received, I went and checked out other reviewers experience with the noise levels. A lot of reviewers state that this toy is quiet. Could it be that I received a toy with a defective noise level? Possibly. I’m just thankful that my current living situation doesn’t require noise discretion.

As for the texture, I didn’t really like it. You can see in the photos that I had added to my review that the ribs are more pronounced on the back of the toy. The ribs at the sides and front of the toy weren’t bothersome but the ribs at the back were a bit uncomfortable (for me). This wouldn’t be an issue for those who like pronounced texture to their toys but they may be too overwhelming for a beginner. I’m unable to comment on how long the batteries last in the toy because they haven’t died yet. I had used the toy for about, an hour total so far. I’ll discuss this information in the follow-up review.

I’ve given the toy a 3 out of 5 because it has a number of great qualities and I think that it could work well for those who are very sensitive to external stimulation. It’s a great material, comes with accessories, is easy to use, is waterproof (I fully submerged the toy and it works perfectly), and has a variety of functions to it. It’s a shame that it’s so darn weak.
