Fun, But We Wanted More

Whether you're thrusting, massaging your clit, or buzzing your g-spot, Sinnflut will get the job done. Just have a little patience, as the vibrations could be stronger. The most disappointing part is the control bar and lack of huge vibrations; for $130, we wanted more.

Pros

Cons
Charging base, overall battery life, control bar difficult to use, more vibrations needed.

Use

The Sinnflut is best used for penetration. It also works great to massage your clitoris, but it's not really built for that. Adding a bullet to your play will help with clitoral stimulation. The ribs are great; starting on the smaller side, they increase in size as you penetrate deeper. We LOVE to turn it upside down and allow the ribs to rub the perineum while thrusting. The head has less girth than the base, which is great for back and forth stretching of your vagina. We feel Sinnflut is really for anyone, but again, it is better for penetration than clitoral simulation. Due to the charging station, Sinnflut is best used at home, either in bed or the bath tub.

Material / Texture

The Sinnflut is wrapped in a soft, squishy, silicone material. Silicone offers a smooth feel, while being very sanitary. On the back, the curved head is smooth, as is the first half of the shaft. About two thirds down the toy, slight ribs appear. On the front of the shaft, just the curved head is smooth. Right after that, the "spiral ribs" appear again, but are much larger than the backside. The base/handle is completely smooth, except for the protruding power and control buttons. The shaft is very flexible and can be bent almost in half. When we first received the item, it did have a slight odor to it, but it was not overly strong. Over time, through use and washing, the odor has gone away.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Sinnflut is gorgeous. All of the pieces flow together without any stops. The dedicated power button is great for quick on and off. The control bar could use some work. Where the power is an actual button, the control is like a joystick. It can be pressed up for more power/modes or down for the opposite. The way the bar is setup, "up" is actually away from your body, and "down" is towards your body. Starting on low and trying to boost power by pushing the joystick away from you is surprisingly hard while trying to enjoy yourself. Working the control stick can be tedious, as it is hard to push up or down. Once the desired setting it reached, leave it there or frustration might ensue. The Sinnflut comes with a charging base to charge it's battery. At first, it was a great idea, and we loved it. Over time though, we wish Sinnflut clicked into the base as opposed to just being placed on the base. We came to this conclusion after trying a magnetic charging solution, which we feel is superior.

The shape is great and works well for us, but we can see some people wanting a bit more of a curve. Sinnflut's curve is rather subtle. Again, the size is great for us but could see people wanting a bit more girth, especially considering how squishy the shaft is. Overall, this is a great toy for anyone, from beginners to advanced users. Just a bit of caution, this is hard to hide and not travel friendly due to the charging station. The manufacturer suggests leaving the Sinnflut on the charger at all times when not in use.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Sinnflut features 6 vibration modes and 3 pulsing modes, by our count. Most of the vibrations come from the center of the shaft and work their way out. Having silicone wrapped all around the vibrator keeps the noise down to a minimum. Sinnflut is waterproof, but it is silicone and you probably won't find a lube that works great in the water and is made for silicone (at least we can't). Having owned the Sinnflut for a while now, the overall performance of the vibrations has been slowly fading. Whether this is due to our over-usage, a flaw, or simply the battery wearing, we are not sure, but we wanted to point it out. As we mentioned above, the dedicated power button is great, but the control bar really needs some work.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Sinnflut is a breeze. Being silicone and waterproof, running warm water over it, lathering some soap on, and rinsing couldn't be any easier. We do not use anti-bacterial soap, because it is a personal toy, and because of our overall views of the over-use of anti-bacterial soap; that's why we tend to stick to non-porous toys. We cut a hole in the bottom of our night stand to run the cord through, and we just keep the base and Sinnflut in there. Being a silicone toy, use only water-based lube. Other lubes will destroy the silicone over time.

Packaging

The Sinnflut came in a red rectangular box, with a window in the front. It's pretty basic and is not fit for storage, but it's perfect to wrap and gift. The instructions are easy to read and understand. Being technology buffs, we were impressed to find suggestions to prolong battery life, although (as mentioned above) we have found the battery to be lacking.

Good review. Am I seeing things, or does the control stick plug into the charging base? I am looking at the pics on the product page.
