It's Easy to Find Harmony with the Harmonia

The Harmonia is a completely wonderful toy. It's fast becoming my favorite g-spot toy. The combination of design, shape, vibrational patterns and material make this a great toy for all sex toy enthusiasts, even beginners. And the freebies--oh, the freebies! They are the icing on the cake.

Use

The Harmonia vibrator is intended for g-spot stimulation, but it can also be used for prostate stimulation as well. Since the toy does not have a flared base, you'll want to keep a good grip on the toy while using it anally. It also wonderfully stimulates the clitoris.

I think this vibe would be good for those who are interested in g-spot stimulation but are intimidated by the rigidity of, say, the Pure Wand. It's firm but flexible enough to alleviate anxieties about accidental painful bumping.

Material / Texture

Made of body-safe silicone, the Harmonia is smell and taste-free. It has a matte finish that causes a bit of drag on the skin. It is wonderfully smooth and it glides nicely with a bit of lube. Because it is silicone, you'll want to avoid silicone-based lubricants.

As with all silicone toys, the Harmonia loves to pick up all sorts of lint and dust and hairs. A rinse or cleaning before each use would be a good idea.

Design / Shape / Size

The total length is just under 9" with about 6 3/4" being insertable. It has a circumference of 5" at its widest point, with the bulbed tip coming in at about 4 3/4". The middle of the shaft tapers down before swelling into the lower half. The curve of the body is subtle and only grows sharp at the very tip. The tip is perfectly situated to hit the g-spot and it also feels great when rubbed along the clitoris. The base fits nicely in my hand and it's long enough for good control of placement and thrusting. One thing I particularly like about its design is that it's flexible enough that you can have the top of the shaft inside you and the middle part bent up to rest against--and stimulate--your clit.

The battery compartment cap requires a little bit of effort to get it to come off. Just twist it off while also pulling a little. The cap should pop off into your hands. Be sure to twist it tightly back on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The button controls are located on the battery compartment cap at the bottom. The top button is for turning it on and off, and the bottom button is for moving through the vibrational patterns. There are three speeds and five patterns. It's hard to describe the patterns to you, but they are unique vibrations that I'd never come across before, and I really enjoyed them. The bottom button gives a satisfying click whenever you depress it so you know it's changing the pattern. Also, there are no worries about accidentally changing the function while in the middle of play.

The Harmonia is not a very loud vibrator. At its highest setting it can be heard through covers, but I doubt it can be heard through a closed door. The vibes are moderately strong and tend to be most powerful at the base of the shaft where the motor resides. But they do travel throughout the toy and can be felt even in the tip. Those of you looking for pinpoint vibes in the g-spot area are probably going to be disappointed in the Harmonia. I prefer pressure anyway, so it's not a con for me.

The toy is meant to be waterproof and how well that feature performs is dependent upon how tightly you close the cap. You want to make sure there isn't a gap between the cap and the shaft of the toy. Twist that cap nice and tight. I've had it stay completely dry while immersed in water, and one time some water did get in around the edges of the inside of the battery compartment.

Care and Maintenance

The Harmonia is very easy to care for. You can store it in its box or inside the velvet bag it comes with. Clean up is very simple--all you need is soap and water or a toy cleaner. You can even bleach it if you like. However, this cannot be boiled nor placed inside your dishwasher.

As I said earlier, be sure to only use water-based lubricants with this vibrator.

Packaging

Ah, the packaging. Close2You (the manufacturer) has the best packaging I've seen yet. I'm usually fairly unimpressed with packaging, but the Harmonia is packaging is so nifty I have to talk about it (and show you in the video).

On the cover of the box is an image of a man and woman and the man is brandishing the toy before the female. This is actually a lid that opens up to reveal a window that shows off the Harmonia. The side of the box consists of two drawer-like components. The first slides out to reveal the Harmonia nestled in a foam cut-out. The smaller bottom drawer slides out to reveal the goodies every Close2You toy comes with. You get 2 AAA batteries (they seem generic but work just as well as Duracell), a sample of their water-based lube (excellent stuff), an instructional booklet (a must read in like 10 different languages), a stretchy silicone cock ring, a single toy cleaner wipe, and a velvet storage bag. How sweet is that?! The only con to any of the freebies is that the storage bag sheds little fibers all over your hands and the Harmonia.

I think all vibrators should come with batteries, if not everything else that Close2You provides. It's thoughtful, convenient, and a joy to have.

Ingredients for toy cleaner wipe: Aqua,Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Luaryl Glucosid, Glyerin, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Allantoin, Parfum, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Lactic Acid, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Glycyrrhiza Glabra

Ingredients for the lube: Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citric Acid

Experience

The Harmonia is an excellent toy. I found the vibrations pleasing and the patterns a delight. The g-spot bulb is perfect for g-spot stimulation and it's giving my LELO Ella a run for its money. I also enjoyed using the bulb for clitoral stimulation as part of a warm-up before insertion. Bending the I can't think of a single negative.
