Couture collection Eclipse - exerciser for vaginal muscles by Cal Exotics - review by Mrs.Intensity

The Beginner's Feel Good Workout In Lavender

These attractive lavender kegel balls are a good place to start for those new to vaginal exercisers and they provide a pleasurable workout. For the average woman, this set may not prove enough challenge for the vaginal muscles as smaller, more heavily weighted balls might, but they are hassle-free and do provide results. When moving on to smaller, heavier sets, these can still be enjoyed as a fun sex toy.
Easy to use and clean, pleasurable sensations, stronger vaginal muscles with consistent use
A bit large in size, not enough weight for long-term use, not enough detailed instruction provided

Do you keep hearing or reading about how kegel exercises are good for your sex life and vaginal health but you don't know what product or exerciser to start with? With all the different choices and size options available on the market, it is easy to feel intimidated and unsure of what to try! I would like to recommend the Couture Collection Eclipse as an excellent starting point because it is designed specifically for the purpose of introducing and familiarizing your vaginal walls and muscles with the kegel exercise!! It can also be used for vaginal arousal or even for anal play. The two connected egg-shaped balls provide gentle vibrations while your body is in motion, encouraging you to use the Couture Collection Eclipse on the go! This makes the exercise all the more effective and convenient for you to perform as you go about your daily routine.

I suggest finding a space where you can lay down for a moment, such as your bed, to slowly insert the Eclipse balls. Once they are nestled comfortably between your vaginal muscles you can practice squeezing while laying down before you start walking around with them. They are bigger than many typical Ben Wa balls on the market right now, so this makes them ideal for beginners and women that have had children and want to gradually transition to a smaller vaginal exerciser.

Some women report starting with ten kegel squeeze exercises a day, and then they gradually increase this number. Personally, I never really count, but keep going until I feel tired or feel that slight soreness from squeezing, but I did start out with just a few repetitions.

You can make sure you are performing the kegel correctly by first practicing in the bathroom. You will know you have mastered the kegel if you can successfully stop your flow of urine by squeezing the vaginal muscles. It is not recommended that you continue to perform your kegels this way though, as stopping your flow of urine over a long period of time might lead to bladder issues or your bladder not emptying completely. I am not a doctor though, so please consult your doctor or gynecologist if you have any questions about the consequences of stopping the flow of urine long-term.

I feel that the main purpose of buying a toy like the Eclipse is that it serves as a very helpful reminder to do your kegels! You feel these egg-shaped balls inside you and you just know to be squeezing! Not to mention that once you start walking around, the downward pressure of the balls combined with your natural lubrication will cause you to automatically squeeze your muscles to keep the balls nestled inside.

Material / Texture

Your Eclipse exerciser balls are made of a combination of hypoallergenic, Phthalates free silicone and plastic. While some users say the silicone will attract lint, I did not notice this as a major problem. If you are concerned, store them in an area where they will not attract dust and lint particles. The plastic and silicone portions of the balls are separated by a slightly raised ridge or seam that adds more to the attractive appearance of the toy than it does to the pleasurable way it feels inside the vaginal walls.

The balls are connected by very soft silicone in the middle and a retrieval cord that is also equally flexible and soft. Inside the outer egg-shaped kegel balls, which are both hard and inflexible, are two smaller weighted balls that are the source of mild but possibly arousing vibrations when you move around enough. The practical purpose of the weighted balls is to force your vaginal walls to work a little harder to keep them inside.

Design / Shape / Size

These workout balls are comfortably snug with their egg or sphere-like shape and softer silicone material. Again, they are not very small in size and not even very heavy weight wise, so this makes them a better product for beginners. Smaller, heavier balls require more work to keep inside.

Egg Comparison

Egg Comparison

The Eclipse kegel balls and cord total about 8 inches in length, with only about 4 1/2 of these inches being insertable. They weigh only 0.3 lbs, however their circumference is a hefty 4 1/2 inches. You will certainly feel these balls inside you!! I found the feel of these kegel balls to be pleasurable to the point you can pull them out and repeatedly insert during sex play and it is an enjoyable sensation. I like to keep in mind though that their first purpose is not that of a sex toy, and it's best to not expect earth moving waves of pleasure from these balls! I am able to feel the mild vibrations and bouncing of the smaller weighted balls when I move around the house or bend. The more you move, the more you are likely to feel them, and the better the workout. They felt comfortable and pleasurable enough to me that I was easily lubricated from arousal, but nothing orgasmic by far. They could also possibly be used as an anal toy, though I have not tried this and would suggest making sure the retrieval cord is not inside you with the balls!

If you plan on traveling with your Eclipse balls, they can be easily stored in a discreet box or case to take with you, and no one will know you have them inserted when you are walking around. None of the slight rumbling of the weighted balls can be heard, so they make an excellent travel companion!

I would say that as a beginner's set of vaginal exercise balls, these serve their purpose well. They are pleasurable to use and definitely do remind you to do your kegels.

My personal chief complaint would be that they may be a little too large for even some beginners. I did not have much trouble keeping them in even during first use and when walking around. At this point, I do need something a little more challenging and think maybe more women who use the Eclipse balls will find they quickly master them and do not feel as much benefit. With smaller and heavier kegel balls available for purchase, it will be tempting to keep going down the sizes right away to see what you can manage. I have given this set a bit of time though, and still feel they have been worthwhile and effective overall.

Care and Maintenance

A very mild soap and water is sufficient for these kegel balls, but a toy cleaner can also be used. Since they are made with silicone, it is not recommended that a silicone lubricant be used, as this may cause damage to the material. Store your Eclipse balls away from fabrics and in a dry place, so they do not attract lint or dust particles.

    • Easy to store

When I received my Couture Collection Eclipse balls, I did not notice care instructions in the box. The box is a flimsy cardboard that might be okay to store the product in temporarily, but it is not appropriate as a gift box since it is not very discreet. A general product description and picture are on the exterior of the box.

When I first inserted the Eclipse kegel balls, I was surprised at how much I could feel them inside me, but found the "full" sensation to be pleasurable after a few moments. When I walked around, I was even more amused with the slight rumbling and moving of the weighted balls. You have the option to start with just one of the two balls inside or both, and I decided to use both fully inserted. To me, the idea of having one of them dangling out seemed uncomfortable. Some women find performing kegels with or without an aide to be pleasurable, I know I do, but this set of balls made it even a bit more pleasurable. For the low price, they are worth trying out. Since purchasing this set, I do notice an overall tighter feeling in my vaginal muscles, but will at some point move on to something a bit more challenging.
Follow-up commentary
These still feel great when I use them! Sometimes I use them simply for the tingly rumble they give when walking around. I cannot wait to review another set of Kegel balls because these do not really give me the workout they once did, but I cannot seem to part with them! They are definitely worth using for purposes beyond kegel exercises, either for personal pleasure or during sex play with a partner.

Fab review on these! I love all the information and photos you included. I've never gotten around to using the balls. I just do my regular 3x a day kegels without products, but have really wanted to try the balls since I hear they feel great just being in there. I'm glad you included so much info on these and how they'd work for both someone who's never used them and someone who's been using them. That was really helpful! I always wonder when I do think about buying the balls, if they'll be too large. I like my easy, no inserting objects necessary kegels (lol), but can't resist trying the balls just for the pleasure I hear they give while walking around. These look like a pretty good choice too, but I may be better off with the single ball to begin with.

    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the detailed feedback kendra30752! Yes, I would definitely recommend trying out a set or two to see what you like if only for the new and different experience! You might find you enjoy squeezing around them and enjoy the sensations they provide. You may also find it pleasurable to do kegels during intimacy if you don't already, you're hubby or partner will love it
