I was about to go in a deep depression when all my vibes died! I had to find something cute, cheap, non-threatening to my lover and velvety. Et Voilà, the velvet touch vibrator|Velvet touch vibrator had these characteristics and more so I ordered it.

This traditional vibe is, how can I put this… traditional. There are no bells and whistles about it. It is 1inch in diameter and works on 2AA batteries (yay, most common rechargeable kind therefore makes usage more eco-friendly than toys that run on other kinds of batteries). It has a dial base so that the vibe can be set on any range from low to high to suit your mood.

The vibrations can be felt all along the shaft but they are concentrated in the tip. Since the toy is thin and the tip is well defined it is perfect for clit stimulation. The thing I like the most about using it on my clit is that compared to using a bullet we are easily able to handle it compared to having to hold it with your finger tips. It makes it easier for my partner to use it on me. Also, since the vibrations come from the tip, holding the end of the shaft will not cause your fingers to go numb. On its highest setting the vibe can be heard through bed covers but will not be heard in an adjacent room. So for those who need something discreet it would be great. It is a great toy for travel as well.

Used vaginally I didn’t find it really spectacular. My partner used it to stimulate my g-spot while I gave him oral. How? Well we were positioned in 69 (him on his back) and he angled it so that the tip pointed at my belly button. I found it to be pleasurable but I need more clit stimulation to reach the big “O”. I found that thrusting it is mediocre because of lack of texture but maybe this may work for others.

Major highlight is that it is a phthalate free plastic but since it is plastic it still remains porous (more so than silicone) so if you plan on sharing this gem slap a condom on it! Although the description of the properties on the website does not say this the vibe is in fact waterproof.

It is a simple vibe and it does pack quite an orgasmic punch so much that my whole groin was trembling from the strength of the vibes. It doesn’t drain your batteries like other vibes may. In all it has run on for maybe two hours (cumulative of the times I have used it) on the same batteries. Just don’t forget to remove the batteries after each use to avoid leakage and draining your batteries by accident.

I use this fairly frequently for solo but not so much during intercourse. It reaches my clit easily when I lie back and my partner takes the reins, except when he leans in for hot chest to chest lingo it is VERY much in the way. As others have mentioned after accidentally dropping my vibe the inner core detached but it has continued working just as well.
This is not a really great toy to add to intercourse since it really just gets in the way so if you need a vibe to help things along during intercourse you might want a thinner vibe. Its fun to use for preliminaries but once you get the main dish the vibe is pushed aside.
