Although the name implies that this would be a great first cock ring, I'm really glad that I had experience with something a little more flexible before donning this piece. I must admit, however, that it has been good training for any future cock ring experiences. Therefore, I would say that this ring is ideal for beginners that are extremely patient or someone who has been using a stretchy or adjustable cock ring and is ready to advance to a higher level of pleasure.

This ring is entirely comprised of high quality silicone which makes it relatively smooth to the touch and comfortable for extended wear. As is to be expected from silicone, it has no taste or smell. While the silicone will give a little, I would by no means call it stretchy. On the underside of the ring there is a faint ridge from where the silicone was melted together but it does not detract from the overall beauty or performance of the ring in any way.

This beginner cock ring certainly lives up to its name. It is as basic as it comes in that it is simply a silicone ring with a 2" diameter. Its design makes a great experience for a novice cock ring user possible. Honestly, a true beginner will probably struggle a little to get a non-stretchy or non-adjustable ring like this on; however, the flexibility (not stretchiness) of the silicon helps make taking it on and off less awkward and difficult. Once it is on, it is there to stay until you decide to remove it. Obviously, it's easiest to put on after stepping out of the shower due to shrinkage and easiest to take off after ejaculation. It would be almost impossible for most men to remove it in the middle of an erection (but who would want to do that?). During intercourse and masturbation, it's wears comfortably. On occasion I wear it for extended periods of time and have no problem with it at all. During times of prolonged wear, I actually find it quite comfortable since it keeps my balls from bouncing around and does not pull at my skin.

The clean up for this toy is ideal for beginners as well. You can basically clean it any way you want since it is silicon. It can be sterilized in hot water but, to me, that takes too long. It also can be thrown into the dishwasher; however, my wife won't allow that. Therefore, I normally wipe it down with toy cleaner and rinse it off in hot water. In my experience, it's best to let this ring air dry since it easily picks up traces of lint from a towel.
Storage is a breeze since this piece is so small. I prefer to keep it in a silk bag in which I keep some other toys so as to keep it from collecting dust or getting lost.

The ring comes in a plain hard plastic package which includes a three step tutorial with diagrams to show you how to put the ring on. For such a classy looking toy, the packaging is ,at best, adequate. The tutorial left something to be desired because it really oversimplified the process. Putting on a cock ring, as a beginner, is not as easy as "put penis through, pull through one testicle, and then pull the other testicle through." A generous helping of adverbs like "gently," "patiently," and "carefully" would really assist the first time cock ring user.

If you are a beginning cock ring user, I think you'll greatly enjoy this toy but don't be surprised if it takes you a little while to figure out how to get it on. The directions seem simple enough but trying to fit your sensitive anatomy through a 2" ring is no easy task. I have yet to figure out a fast way to put it on but the reward of having it in place is always worth the effort. My advice, in addition to the instructions on the package, would be to use lube, be patient, try to avoid being erect (until you have it on, of course), and don't force anything.
