As close to perfect as I think I am going to get.

This is likely the best cock ring you're going to find, if your cock fits. If it is too big it's just going to be a hula hoop for you, if it's too small, ohh man that would hurt. Long story short, always measure before you buy a cock ring.

Use

Okay lets just start out right here by being totally honest and getting everything on the table. I have gone through almost twenty different cock rings looking for one that fits just right. They are either too tight or so big you can put your arm through. To really do this review justice, I feel I need to share the dimensions of my junk with the internet and I want to make it clear I went my whole life without ever having the need to figure this out, and now I have. So here it is I am 7 3/4 inches long, and just shy on six inches in circumference. Sadly that is not enough information for this review, as best can be measured my testicles are just over four inches long, and roughly the same distance in circumference. Now that the entire internet knows the exact dimensions of my junk I can do this review.

Tantus calls this the The Beginner Cock Ring, which is a great name, if it wasn't so misleading. Yes, I fully understand the intent that the more you wear a ring the tighter you can get with them, or at least what you are comfortable with. However calling it, "the beginner ring" implies that the more I have sex, the bigger my dick gets, which it doesn't. I've used the next level the Intermediate Ring that Tantus also makes, and it nearly made my cock fall off, it's such a drastic jump… never mind, that’s for a another review.

This ring fits perfectly, and it's a bit hefty, which lets you know you’re wearing a ring, similar to metal rings, only made of soft silicone. I love to wear this ring at play parties. Yes, I know you are not supposed to wear a cock ring longer than twenty minutes, but I feel comfortable doing so with this one.

Material / Texture

The Tantus Beginner C-Ring is made of silicone, which is awesome; I try to buy nothing but silicone items. Yes, glass and metal can be boiled as well, but silicone has just a bit of flex which makes it awesome. Just in case my review is the first one you've ever read on Eden Fantasy's, silicone gets a 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. Silicone can be boiled, treated with a 10% bleach solution, and washed with soap and water, or any of your favorite toy cleaners. Do not use silicone based lubes with it however, as it will melt it, and you don't want to melt this ring, so don't do it. The ring is pretty much completely smooth, although silicone always has just a bit of a texture, similar to a cotton dress shirt. The C-Ring also has a slight smell, but it goes away quickly.

Stretch: Okay this is an issue, since most cock rings can be stretched on when you have an erection, it's not happening with this ring. I can only stretch it maybe a few extra centimeters, just enough to get it on while I'm soft. Before anyone claims that it’s because I'm not strong enough, I assure you that isn't the issue. The Tantus is just really thick, and the amount of stretch is reduced because of that, it's a tad easier when warm, but just a little bit. Basic point put this toy on when you’re soft.

Unlike other silicone cock rings I've tried, this one is actually totally seamless, which may not seem like much to most people, but it makes a world of difference when you’re wearing one of these bad boys for a bit longer than the package suggests.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

What's that Eden? Tell the people the shape of it? Are you kidding me? It's a ring, it's round, people are not this stupid. Alright, alright I'll try to be less cynical about this, but it's really hard not to be okay. It's a cock ring, spoiler alert it goes on your cock, specifically it's designed to go around your balls and your cock. Do not make the same mistake with this ring that I did with my first cock ring several years ago and put it on your shaft first. Always put it on balls and then shaft, and with this one, it’s best you do it when you’re soft. The biggest issue with the Tantus is this: it's thick. The width of the ring is just over an inch and the actual ring itself is two inches in diameter, which takes all the girth and thickness you gain from the ring making your cock swell a bit and throws it away. It's just too much, I'm rough with my girlfriend because that is how she likes it, and this ring is like punching her in her labia, which if you’re into that, great, but sadly we are not.

Size: Exactly what is advertised, I measured it's a two inch diameter ring. It is nine inches in circumference around the outside of the ring, and six inches on the inside, which really shows you how thick this ring is.

The fit: that is something I really want to talk about. I'm a bit past beginner on the wearing a cock ring side of things, meaning I've done it for a while. Yet the beginner cock ring is one to the best ones Eden has to fit me. I wish it was just straight forward, designed for cocks my size, I'm certainly not a horse, see intro post, but I'm not a Smurf either. It seems like they don’t want to offend us males and in doing so they’re just making things worse. Another reviewer posted she couldn't even use this because it was drastically too big for her husband, but she ordered the beginner because they were beginning, it's a horrible marketing flaw not a design issue. [https://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/male-sextoys/cock-ring-1 ] Issues like this could be easily avoided if a recommended penis size was listed, rather than an obligatory beginner, intermediate, advanced ranking system like this.

As far as stimulating my partner, it doesn't, it makes her feel like she is getting beat on, which she is into. Even for just casual sex, which yes even we kinky folks have from time to time, it just doesn't work for her. Also forget oral with this, it's so thick I can hit her in the nose with it, which hurts. It's just so damn thick.

I want to suggest getting a set of these for anyone interested in a cock ring, as these are cheap and there are three allowing you to try several, seeing if you can get a good idea on what your size is.

Functions / Performance / Controls

According to Tantus's official website, the following is a Cock Ring’s job, so direct from the source here is what this ring should do:

"When a man ejaculates, the prostate's job is to shut off the bladder and push seminal fluid down the urethra. The testicles then contract and add sperm to the seminal fluid with the result of ejaculation. A c-ring holds the testicles down and keeps the testes from contracting thus slowing down ejaculation. The constriction takes orgasm from about 6 seconds to up to 45 seconds. "

The ring does what it is supposed to, assuming it fits you. If it's too big, then no, it won’t. It doesn't do anything else, no vibrations, no funny bumps, nothing. It works wonderfully for me, not so well for my partner. Which is honestly the way things go for us, so don't let that discourage you. Things work well for me, and badly for her, things are awful for me and great for her. It's a lot of hit and miss in this house. Oh, I should also mention that I am shaved clean and I've found that with most cock rings, not being shaved is a problem, and I am going to assume this would be the same. I've also never had this magical forty-five second orgasm that all cock rings say will happen, but I've had a vasectomy and I don't know if that does anything in this case.

You’re not going to be able to get this thing off when you’re hard, which is a bit of a concern, and the makers of this ring addressed it. If you’re starting to swell up, then it's a huge concern, but the fact this is made of soft silicone means that it can easily be cut off and the wearer can avoid having to take a trip to the hospital.
    • Comfortable during use
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Once again, with Silicone boil it; wash it, what have you. Just do not store it next to your other silicone toys or use silicone based lubricants on it. It will melt it! We keep it in a cloth pouch. The Clam shell package it came in could easily be used for storage, it's a bit bulky, but if you have the space it would be a great way to keep it stored.

I want to give a full list of ways to clean Silicone here, Soap and Water, Toy Cleaner, 10% Bleach solutions soaking, Boiling it for ten minutes, and top rack of the dishwasher. These are the reasons Eden gives Silicone a 10 on safety, and Tantus claims to use the best silicone available, having used a few Tantus toys, I can believe this.

The toy cleaners my partner and I use can be found here
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Tantus brilliantly didn't slap COCK RING!! on the package, however they did slap, "Stay Harder Longer and Enhance Your Orgasm" across the bottom of the package, so now we all know exactly what this is. One line took it from subtle to not, good job guys. The back explains how to put your new c-ring on and the sizes of the next levels, which I explained is useless earlier so I won’t go over it again. It also has a link to the Tantus website for cleaning instructions. I posted that in my cleaning instructions. It is completely recyclable which is nice; let’s not have our sex toy packaging ruin the planet. You laugh but we have a lot of sex toys in this house.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

Once again, I like this cock ring. It's great for me to wear for extended periods of time, and I enjoy it for masturbating. Sadly my girlfriend hates it for sex, which is really its intended purpose. It looks good as a piece of cock jewelry too I suppose, it's a nice bright red which matches my Mohawk most days, so yeah it would be cool to wear at a nude beach, and I do wear it at play parties, so there you go. I love this ring, but my girlfriend hates it, which means I’m back to buying more rings.

Experience

Like I said, I love it, but my girlfriend hates it. So... useless for us, but likely not useless for you!
