I've read all the reviews on this toy so far, and everybody talks about using it the same way: lube it up, lube up Mr. Happy, slide the sleeve onto Mr. Happy, and jerk away. Some guys do this to themselves, some ladies do it to their men.

This is NOT how I use this toy, although, it is the way I started. I tried it as described above and enjoyed it, but only a little more than a regular hand job. But, in a sudden flash of inspiration, the next time I was all hot and bothered, I tried something different. I had lubed the tube and my joystick, and had brought them together. But instead of jerking my way to a happy ending, I suddenly decided to lay down on the bed on my stomach, wedging this toy between me and the mattress. Then I started "fucking", and found it felt MUCH better than a self-inflicted handjob. I put a pillow under me (and my toy-encased member), and found it worked even better.

And that's how I've used it ever since; mostly by myself, but it's also fun to get off that way while pleasuring my wife, or while she pegs me, or while I'm tied up in bondage (yeah, that's how we roll sometimes). She finds it highly amusing, too!

When you first take it out of the package, it's inside out. You can see that it has these little nubs all over it. When you turn it inside out, those nubs are on the inside and stimulate the full length of your penis. The tube is closed on one end, so you don't have to worry about getting your man juice all over the bedsheets. Just carefully remove it, take it to your nearest sink, and wash your sex sauce down the drain.

I was worried this little blue tube would be too small for me; not that I'm huge or anything. My love sword is a slightly-above-average length (6 1/2 inches) and girth (5 inches around, 1 5/8 inches diameter). The tube measures in at just under 6" with about 5 1/2 inches of penetrable depth. So how was I able to get all of me in there, when I'm an inch longer than it is? Was it a miracle? Well, perhaps a miracle of modern science, the miracle of stretchy plastics. It stretches to fit above average cocks.

But again, it stretches to fully please Johnny, too. However, with Johnny it was a lot tighter and that might not be as pleasant. If your unit is larger than Johnny, it may be too tight as I read in a couple of other reviews. But for small to above-average guys, this should feel really good.

The Slipinside #1 is made from Elastomer. That's a combination of "elastic" and "polymer" for you curious types. It is indeed elastic. It's soft to the touch and becomes very slippery when lubricated.

It's hypo-allergenic, latex-free and phthalates free. It's slightly porous, so use a condom in the unlikely event of sharing this toy.

It doesn't have much smell to begin with, and even after 18 months, mine still doesn't have any noticeable smell. However, using it will give your "fireman" a funky odor--so my advice is to wash yourself when you wash the toy.

Those soft little nubs on the inside stimulate the penis in a most delightful way. The outside is smooth. Other reviewers have described using it inside out but I tried this once and it didn't do much for me.

If you hold it in your hand to use it, you'll probably find it makes some squishy, sucking noises, which can either be amusing or annoying, depending on who else might hear them. You can drown it out with music or video, or just use it like I do and avoid the noise altogether (unless your bed springs creak, but that's YOUR problem!).

You will want to use some lube with this bad boy. I use Astroglide, but any water-based or silicone lube will work. Another reviewer said he uses his in the shower with olive oil (which doesn't wash away as fast). I haven't tried it, but it's a thought.

The shape of this toy is totally utilitarian. It's not a feast for the eyes or anything. But, it does WORK and for me, that's what counts. It's also small, doesn't mind being squished, and doesn't look like an obvious sex toy, making it ideal for travel.

Using this toy is pretty simple: lube it up, slide it on and either stroke it or lay down on your stomach and fuck it. When used as a stroker, it feels somewhat like a really good hand job. When you fuck it, it feels somewhat like anal sex. The nubs lining the interior are exactly the same for the full length. They're highly stimulating. It can make some squishing sounds, but it's not outrageously loud. With the right amount of lube and a slow motion, it can be silent.

Here's where this toy truly excels. Unlike a Fleshlight, the Slipinside #1 cleans up quick and dries pretty much instantly.

You can clean this with warm water and mild soap. Or just warm water. That's what I do now. When you've shot your wad, just take this little wonder to the nearest sink, turn it inside out, and rinse it thoroughly with warm water. Leave it inside out, and it will dry on its own in half an hour or so, or if you just can't wait, pat it down with a towel and you're done in an instant.

DON'T use harsh soap or it will shorten the toy's life. I got my first one of these over 3 years ago. After 18 months of regular use (3-4 times a week), and cleaning it thoroughly after each use with bar soap, it started to lose its softness; as a result, it became less pleasurable to use.

I got TWO new ones 18 months ago, and I'm still using the first of those. A few months back, I read some Fleshlight reviews and learned that you're not supposed to use soap on a Fleshlight, which is made of Superskin, a secret formula that seems to be somewhat similar to elastomer. The little light bulb went on over my head and I've just been rinsing out my Slipinside #1 ever since. And, it's still soft and comfortable.

Storage is easy. It's small, so you can stash it just about anywhere. It's not an obvious sex toy, so someone who stumbles across it won't necessarily know what it is. I just toss mine into my sex toy cabinet after cleaning and drying.

The package couldn't be simpler: just the toy, inside a clear plastic bag, inside a clear plastic box. No instructions, no extras--no nothing. Just the toy. If you give this as a gift, be sure to tell the recipient just what you've given them, or they might not figure it out! The box would be perfect for storage if you're concerned about lint or hair. It's also recyclable.

The one caveat I feel compelled to add, is that I haven't tried other masturbators. I just ordered a Fleshlight, and I'll include a comparison in my follow-up review.
