Naughty people boxer brief - briefs by Coquette - review by Sir

Comfortable, But Tiny

The Naughty People boxer brief is a comfortable, small, compact pair of trunks that's surprisingly well-made. They've lasted for over a year, and don't require any special care or maintenance. They are very short and low-rise, so it's important to keep that in mind before buying, especially for those that have larger packages.
Extremely comfortable, cute and silly, frames the crotch nicely, well-made.
Doesn't hold everything in, loose in the thigh area, not substantial enough, expensive.

The Naughty People boxer brief isn't really a pair of boxer briefs; it's actually a pair of trunks (a good thing) — a short, slim, tiny pair of trunks (a not so good thing) with small images of nude people with different shapes, body types, and colors all over them. The trunks are not available in any other color combination aside from the pattern and white background, but they do come in four sizes from S to XL.

They came in a plastic packaging with a slide-on hanger; I thought that this was a bit much for a pair of trunks, but at least it kept them clean in shipping. For my pair, I ordered the size S. Where they hit, my measurements are about 29", so expect the underwear to follow regular size guidelines for most men's underwear. Sadly, there was not a measurement table given in the packaging that the underwear came with; Edenfantasys only lists the women's lingerie sizing for Coquette, so choose whatever size is regularly worn when purchasing these.

These are a low-rise pair of trunks — a really, really low-rise pair of trunks. Because they're so incredibly low-rise, they fit me on my hips, which isn't where I generally wear my underwear. Usually, trunks and boxer briefs hit at about an inch and a half below my belly button, but these fit at about two and a half inches below my naval. They do fit me well, though, even though they don't sit where I would regularly wear my underwear. Something odd about the fit is that the thigh area is actually rather loose. They do not sit against me tightly as the picture portrays on the model, which makes them look as if they flare out a bit. Not the most attractive thing when it comes to underwear.

The material, while referred to as "cotton" on Edenfantasys' product page, is actually a 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend. It's incredibly lightweight and stretchy, which makes the trunks extremely comfortable; it's good for lounging around and wearing to bed. The elastic is very soft and stretchy, too. Many types of underwear come with a firmer elastic band that will dig into the skin, but thankfully, these don't. The front piece of the underwear is not reinforced, but the seams are all finished so they do not irritate the skin too much. There are some at the crotch of the underwear that are a bit thick though, so those can become irksome at times.

Even though the material is very comfortable to wear, it's not substantial in the slightest; I am constantly being jumbled around while walking, so it's hardly possible to wear these with a looser fitting pant. In addition to that, they're much shorter than I'm used to when it comes to trunks. Usually, trunks hit about an inch or two below the crotch, so there's some wiggle room when it comes to a person's genital size. However, because these don't, they are not the best for someone who has a larger package. It simply won't fit or stay put.

Surprisingly, they do withstand tons of wear, even though the material is very thin. I've worn the Naughty People trunks approximately once a week for a year now with little wear other than the occasional thread popping out. None of the seams have ripped, and the elastic is still in good condition. They're an expensive pair of trunks, but at least the price can be justified with the fact that these will last for a long time without holes or tears. That being said, I still wouldn't recommend these to others due to their high price tag. The design is cute, but nothing special, and they just don't fit the way that I prefer trunks to fit.

For care, the tag on the underwear does say to hand wash these, but I've had no problems with washing them in the machine with the rest of my clothing. They're not a particularly delicate pair of underwear, so there's no reason to treat them as if they are.
I am used to wearing trunks and boxer briefs made of thicker cottons that have reinforced front pieces. That's what I've worn for years; I've tried multiple companies and stores to find the ones that are the best made for their price. While these have held up to a lot of wear and washings, I cannot justify the price in comparison with other pairs of underwear that I own; they're just not really anything special.
