The Big Honcho is the latest in the Sue Johanson line of male masturbation sleeves. To date this is the largest of her closed end models, with an external length of 7", a usable depth of 5.5", a width of 3.5" claiming to fit up to a 2.5" girth, an outside circumference of 11.25" and weighing in at a hefty 1.5 lbs. My penis is a hair over 7" and just at 2.25" in girth and fits nicely in this sleeve. From my experience with this sleeve, I am pleased that all the measurements are accurate and work for the above average sized man. It is clear and colorless, allowing you to watch yourself or your partner in action with the added bonus of the sleeve acting as a magnifier making your penis appear even larger than it is.

The sleeve material is TPR, a silicone/rubber compound rated 7 on EF's safety scale. Both water and silicone based lubes are safe for use--I prefer glycerin free silicone lubes because I find them to be longer lasting and more slippery than water based lubes. At this point, it should also be noted that oil based lubes should not be used as they will cause the TPR to break down, dramatically shortening the life span of your sleeve.

TPR has a noticeable sticky feel when dry making it easy to maintain a firm grasp. However, if some lube gets on the sleeve, the stickiness is replaced by a slickness and you need to control your stroking so that your hand(s) don't slip off. The flared penetrative end provides assistance in this area. When the sleeve arrives, there is a moderate smell. It is not unpleasant, slightly sweet and resembling rubber. The scent does not interfere with use. With time and washing, the scent will go away. I would rate TPR a 6/10 for realistic vaginal sensation compared to other sleeve material. In my book, there is no replacement for the real thing.

TPR is semi-porous and should not be shared without dedicated condom usage. Washing is a snap--simply soak in some warm soapy water, turn inside out and repeat. Allow the sleeve to dry completely, dust the outside with a small amount of corn starch and store in a zip top plastic bag to prevent dust/lint from collecting on the toy. Always wash before and after each use.

The outside of the sleeve has a smooth, wavy surface that when dry has a slightly sticky feel to it. It has an opening with a realistic looking clitoris placed on a thicker than most sleeves entrance. The penetrative end is flared so if you find yourself wanting or needing a long, fast stroke pattern it helps stop your hand from sliding off and interrupting your rhythm. The newest and most clever feature of this sleeve is the curved inner chamber. For me, that was a good fit and gave me a more pleasant experience than the "Head Honcho" and "Super Head Honcho."

Ms. Johanson designed this sleeve thicker than her other sleeves with the hope that the pressure as you stroke would be more evenly felt along the shaft of the penis. The design succeeds at this very well. If you prefer to vary the pressure, you can do that with your hand(s) as you stroke, but you will need more pressure than with most sleeves. It is large enough to be comfortable and tight enough to be very pleasurable. Unlike the "Super Head Honcho," I did not feel squeezed into a sleeve that was too small for me. TPR has a lot of give and this sleeve will not only accommodate men larger than me, but it will satisfy them and bring them to a happy ending at their chosen pace.

The internal curved chamber of the sleeve is lined in a non-specific pattern of nubs/beads and ribbing. Unlike many sleeves, there are not clearly separated wide and narrow areas but the canal does slightly taper towards the closed end of the sleeve. The experience is new each time I use it because I can use a rotating motion along with my stroking and I literally do not know what to expect next.

I always use my sleeves as hand held devices. Liberator manufactures a piece of sex furniture designed to position the sleeve so that you can use it hands free to simulate doggy or anal. I have read the reviews of the Liberator positioner and the comments are favorable. If this is something you would enjoy, this sleeve would closely simulate the vaginal/doggy experience.

One final note: This is one of the few soft sleeves that I have found that both fits and I enjoy using. Because of its large outside circumference, you or your partner will probably need 2 hands to keep the action going. Some men will no doubt want to secure this sleeve and use it hands free. Minimum/maximum measurements that (in my estimation) would benefit from this sleeve are: 6"/8" in length (stretches easily so you may be able to push the upper limits but watch out for signs of wear and tear if you do)--although those over 6.75" risk hitting the end of the sleeve: not a big deal to me; 2.25"--3.25" of girth and up to 4" in width. These measurements are only my estimation--there is a wide range of personal preferences that come into play here--some like it tight, some like it loose; some men want to go all the way and do some extra stimulation to the head, some don't want to hit the end of the sleeve and some may just find the large circumference and weight (1.5 pounds) an inconvenience they just don't want. It is hard to find good sleeves for larger guys so it is a small price to pay.

I have been using the Big Honcho for awhile and it doesn't let me down. It is one of the more comfortable sleeves to handle.
