He's On Top: Erotic Stories of Submission

I loved this book! Every story is told in a way that inspires me to evoke submissive play with my partner. I would highly recommend this. I am somewhat of a novice, but everything about this book makes me want to delve deeper into submissive play.

Experience
This is a subject I can definitely relate to. I loved all the different ways these men and women authors explore the subject of submission for women. The editor of this book is the senior editor of Penthouse Variations, so she really knows her stuff! I didn't find any stories degrading to women or exploiting their subjects. Some of these stories inspired me. I can say I was turned on by each and every story! I am glad to have this as part of my collection!
Follow-up commentary
I still love this book and have revisited it a few times. I love that this book was written from both perspectives, I love to know that the Dom is getting just as much out of the situation as the Sub. I love the I would still highly recommend this book.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking at this book and didn't buy it because I wasn't sure if it would be good, due to Penthouse publishing.

Good start, writing reviews for books are the hardest reviews, in my opinion. I would take 3 or 4 stories you really liked and give an overview on them. That fleshes out the review and helps the readers decide if it's something that would appeal to them. Also, assessing the "kink factor" in a book like this helps.

For the record, Shanna Germain is an Eden reviewer! Also, Thomas Roche and Rachel Bussel are regulars on the Erotica circuit. All of them are great authors! As you read more erotica, you'll come to recognise the names of good authors.

Really? I didn't know that about Shanna Germain, "The Sun is an Ordinary Star" was excellent!

As far as addressing "Kink Factor"- being that there is a woman on a lease on the cover, the kink factor was pretty obvious. Hard to really say too because some stories were really kinky and some were a bit tame. The theme stayed true throughout the book. Every story was about men being the top and women being submissive.

Book reviews are tough, aren't they? I think, if I was wanting to buy this, I'd want to know what the scenarios in a couple of the stories are to get a feel of whether the book was 'my type'. "The Sun is an Ordinary Star" is a really interesting title, to me, but I have no idea what would be going on in it.

It's good information to share that the language wasn't derogatory---that can be a big turn-off for lots of people. I just joined the Naked Reader club too...let's see what we come up with next month!
