I Love Female Orgasm is an easy-to-read book that compiles research, survey results, and the authors' own personal experiences into one 276-page book (not including a ten-page index).
I'll admit I've only had one orgasm in my life. But this book is for people of all age ranges, sexual orientations, and genders, whether you have never had an orgasm before or whether you've had plenty of your own. The many topics included in this book include masturbation, oral sex, intercourse and the female orgasm, the G-spot and female ejaculation, sex toys, and even entire chapters written especially for men or for those in the GLBT community.
In the introduction, the authors explain what got them into teaching about the female orgasm, including how Solot's knowledge of her own body quite possibly saved her life. She's professed how important it is for a woman to be comfortable with her sexuality and her body, because it really can make a difference. Miller recalled how his junior high and high school taught sexuality and how he was brought into teaching the male side of the female orgasm. You get to know how much the authors enjoy what they do and how important they both think the female orgasm is.
This was my first educational book outside of the brief sections on puberty in health books when I was a kid, and I was very happy to see charts, diagrams, and recommended reading for different subjects included in the text. I was a personal fan of the random facts and interesting experiences that were sprinkled throughout the book. Not only was the content informative and insightful, but it was so entertaining that I didn't want to put the book down.
The tenth chapter in the book surprised me because it was all about anal sex. I expected the G-spot, clitoral stimulation, and even the final chapter on safe sex and birth control, but I wasn't expecting anal sex to be included in this book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they included tips for making anal sex more enjoyable if you are trying it out.
You might want to spell out what GLBTTQQAI stands for since a lot of people are only familiar with the acronym LGBTQIA (there are a couple of extra letters in the acronym these authors apparently use, plus they order them just a tiny bit differently...it would be very interesting to learn why they do this!).
