Can't Say I Love It.

If you regularly use drugstore makeup, and you are satisfied, this should work marvelously for you. I have used top quality makeup for years and just couldn't seem to fall head over heels for this product. It doesn't glide easily and the color isn't as rich as I had hoped. The "Bliss" color was a little out of place in this palette in my opinion. On the bright side, the magnetic palette is convenient, and so is the included applicator.

Use

Bella Il Fiore Bella in Bloom Annabelle eye shadow palette is great for the girl who is low on the dollar. I would *not* recommend this to anyone who is using another brand of makeup such as MAC, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, Arbonne, etc. Why? It just isn't high quality like those brands.

Now, before I ruin anyone's day, it really depends on what you consider to be high quality. I like makeup with a good glide to it. Something easy to apply, goes on quickly, and has a lot of pigment. Also, I like more for my money. The amount of eyeshadow in each circle isn't enough to get you through a month, and even the entire palette together doesn't seem like it gives a good amount. This is just my opinion. I've used it once (just got it today). I was planning on wearing it out tonight to dinner with the hubby, but the colors aren't rich and true like the cosmetics I sell and use. Therefore I am just going to give this to my baby sister. She likes to use NYC (drugstore makeup) so this is about that level of quality. It shouldn't disappoint her.

As far as allergies go, the only ingredients that stand out to me are the parabens. These shadows contain Methylparaben and Propylparaben. This is common with almost every brand of makeup, but some people are very allergic so please avoid these cosmetics if so.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

To me, this eyeshadow is very beady. If you've used high quality mineral eyeshadows, you will find that they glide on flawlessly and almost blend into your skin. This eyeshadow "sits" on your skin, and after blinking your eye a few times the color seems to fade. I actually tried using an eyeshadow base/primer and it revealed how beady this product really is. There were little clumps everywhere. I took out my makeup brushes, because I wondered if it was just the applicator (sponge-top) and it didn't change a thing. Still beady and inconsistent.

Taste / Aroma

I did not taste this product, because one should not eat eyeshadow... so no comment as far as taste. As far as smell, it has only a light smell and nothing out of the norm. I actually really don't know what to write in this section!

Performance

Here are the colors you get with the Annabelle Eye Shadow Palette:

Periwinkle: This goes on as more of a lavender color (like the actual flower color, growing in a yard). It's almost the same exact color as the Lilac that comes in this palette, which was a bit of a let down. The only difference between the two is that the Periwinkle shimmers. This is a color you will want to use to line the eyes or fill the corners.

Lavender: To me, this one should have been called. It has more of a light pinkish color when applied to any skin tone. (I used my hubby's arm for this test!) It is shimmery, and could be used near the top of the eyes, under the brow line.

Hyacinth: Sort of a deep burgundy color, and very shimmery. A bit brownish when applied to the skin. Compliments the Autumn very well.

Lilac: Like I said, the same color as the Periwinkle except it doesn't shimmer whatsoever. A nice inner eye corner filler.

Lily: Great for the brow bone in small amounts. Needs to be blended for a long time due to the chunkiness of the shadows. I recommend using an expensive shadow brush for this.

Daffodil: A nice light pink color. Great if used right under the brow bone. I love the shade and I truly wish this shadow wasn't so crappy because I would have loved to use this alone with some eyeliner. It is the most sheer out of all the colors, and only slightly shimmery.

Autumn: A nice light brown, shimmery shadow. When Hyacinth is added they compliment each other well. Could be used on it's own, though.

Bliss: This is a granite shade with TONS of shimmer to it. Almost too much for my taste. Looks decent with the Periwinkle or the Hyacinth, but I don't think it should have been included on this palette.

I think this is a cute little product to be offered on EdenFantasys. Yes, it could be used successfully and yes, it could satisfy someone. It simply does glide smooth enough for me, and doesn't fit my standards because of what I'm used to. If you use drugstore makeup then this will probably suit you just fine. And please, in no way am I trying to offend anyone. Drugstore makeup is fine. It just doesn't work for EVERYBODY. Back in my young teenage years this would have been a God send gift.

The colors all compliment each other, but like I mentioned, the Bliss seems out of place. It's very hard to put it together with the other colors because the look so different when added to the skin. I am a professional makeup consultant so I really know my stuff - yet this one color makes me confused! It's a bit funny and made the hubby and I giggle as I tried to blend it into his arm! I'm sure that if you bought all three of these palettes it would match with something.

Packaging

The packaging is as shown on the product page. It is covered in plastic wrapping at first, for shipping safety. You get the palette that opens flip-top, and closes magnetically. Inside are your 8 eye shadows and one double-ended, sponge-tipped applicator. The applicator doesn't fall out which is really cool, so if this opens on accident you'll be fine. I doubt it will open, though - the magnet is pretty strong. There is a film covering your makeup when you first open in, but it is removable.

The top says: "Bella Il Fiore - Bella in Bloom - Annabelle Eye Shadow Palette" and is surrounded by a simple floral design. I found it cute, but hubby thinks it looks tacky and cheap. I don't really care because it's the makeup that matters to me most of the time. Inside the palette and on the back, you will see the same floral design as on top.

The bottom/back shows the ingredients:

Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Myristate, Polybutene, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben, Methylparaben. It also shows the website: www.bellabeauty.net

and says: "Bat your eyes in berry and plums."
Follow-up commentary
I obviously don't like this anymore, but since it's Christmas time and all, this would make a great gift for your daughters or little sisters, etc. My little sister loves it and has asked me for another one!
