Oh My Lola- lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola-lo-lo-lo-lo-Lola

Eye Shadow palette is a 3.5 by 4 inch palette that has 8 different colors inside. There are three different palettes to pick from with a variety of colors.

Lola, for me, was 4 hits and 4 misses, but overall was still a good deal. The pigment could be better for some of the colors, however they might work better for someone else. This eye shadow won't be replacing my Cover Girl anytime soon, but it a great back up option.

Use

Lola is an eye shadow palette. Eye shadow is meant to be worn on your eyelids to give color, shine, and make them brighten. The purpose of makeup most makeup is to add confidence in your appearance to help make you feel more confident for yourself. We are all unique in our own way and makeup is a way to enhance your uniqueness. Depending on many factors such as skin color, eye color, hair color, and personal preference changes what color is best for you.

I always wear browns, so Lola was my color option. If you are interested you can check out "How to choose the best eye shadow for your eyes", which I thought was an interesting read.

Any makeup of beauty product can have ingredients in them that could cause irritation, so be sure to check the ingredients and it is also recommended you spot test on your wrist before using.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Each Palette has 8 colors inside, but there are three different palette's to pick from, which are Peony, Annabelle, and Lola. This is inside of Lola. These eye shadows feel fine and soft. They go on smooth, but don't seem to have much pigment especially the lighter colors. They stay in place once rubbed in, but be sure to fan off any remaining dust. When you rub the brush inside of the eye shadow you can feel how soft it is, so be careful not to push down to hard. The hard you push on the eye shadow the more dust that will be with it.

Taste / Aroma

I would advise against tasting these eye shadow's, because it might be harmful to your health. When you open the palette there is no smell, but if you put your nose up to the eye shadow it has a powder scent. The smell is not at all over powering and couldn't be noticed without sticking your nose within inches of the palette.

Performance

There are 8 colors in every palette each are labelled below the sample. Lola has Trellis, Mistletoe, Veronica, Marigold, Sunflower, Orchid, Poppy, and Petal. These are shown above on my arm. As you can see the light colors are just about as pale as I am, so for me they are just a base color, but they could work well for others. The colors that actually show up are faint, but good enough for use. I find I have to put on a few coats in order to have the desired amount of eye shadow, but I like my color to show. If you like light color to your eyes Lola is a great option for you. The eye shadow will last all day without reapplying. When you are ready to wash it off a wet rag, baby wipe, or shower are the best ways.

I personally love Mistletoe, Veronica, Trellis, and Orchid, so this palette was a good buy for me, but that will vary per person and per palette. I am overall happy with this purchase, but I am not sure I would order it again. I think I will stick with my usual Cover Girl eye shadow.

Packaging

The palette is 3.5 by 4 inches with eight separate 3/4" wide eye shadows inside and a 3" long brush. The brush in not my ideal brush, so you might want to purchase separate ones. The palette is pink with flowers one it and marked with a Bella IL Liore symbol.

Personal comments

Color Explanation

Trellis- is a the darkest color in the palette. It requires at least 2 coats to get below results.

Mistletoe- is a earthy green color with sparkles. It requires at least 3 coats to get the below results.

Veronica- is a goldish brown color. It requires at least 2 coats to get the below results.

Marigold- is a pale gold color with a hint of brown and sparkles. It matches my skin to well, so I can't photo graph it, but it works good for adding no color and sparkles. It took 5 coats to even get a hint of color for me.

Sunflower- is a pale cream color. This color also matches my skin to well and doesn't allow for the photo graph to show it. This color is almost like powdered foundation for me. I can apply 10 coats and still can't really see it.

Orchid- is a brownish red color. This color is close to my usual color. It requires at least two coats to get desired results.

Poppy- is a cream color with sparkles and is similar to Sunflower, but with a hint of gold. This color can't be photographed well on my skin because it matches to well even with 10 coats.

Petal- is a khaki or a light tan with some sparkle. This color almost makes me look bruised. It requires me to put on at least 5 coats to make it visible.
Follow-up commentary
I still use these on occasion. They aren't the best eyeshadow, but I've had worse. Overall, I won't be replacing this palette once it's gone.
