Dona bath milk - bath and shower gel by System JO - review by wrmbreze

Dona make you feel good...

While I can't say that this enhanced any sexual felling I was experiencing, I can say that so far this line of bath products are one that I will be buying again. They smell wonderful, weren't overpowering to me and felt soft on my skin. This is a nice addition to my stash of bath products.
great price, nice smell, skin felt very soft after using in bath
tends to clump, smell dissipates quickly after use

The Dona line by System Jo is marketed to be an aphrodisiac infused ritual designed to guide you into the ultimate pampering experience. Bath milks are used to soften and moisturize the skin. It leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. The products are natural, eco-friendly, paraben free, and without harsh chemicals.

Ingredients: Dry Milk Powder, Magnesium Sulfate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Punica Granatum(pomegranate) Fruit Powder, Fragrance

Dry milk powder is used in bath products because it softens and moisturizes the skin. Pomegranate is considered a super fruit because of some health benefits. Pomegranate has skin care properties that include moisturizing, antioxidant as well as anti-inflammatory properties. It delivers a powerful anti-aging effect as it helps the skin retain moisture and maintain proper circulation and hydration. Hydrolyzed Collagen enhances the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness.

The picture above shows how blurry it looks after adding about 3 tablespoons of powder to my bath. In the picture it has a brownish tone, that is because my tub is actually tan in color, and it made the picture turn out that way. It was actually a bluish, milky tinge to the water.

Upon opening the container of bath milk,I found it to be a very thin powder. It felt almost like flour to me. It was very soft to the touch. It didn't feel gritty at all. I sprinkled around 3 tablespoons under the running faucet, because I like a soothing bath. It is entirely up to you how much of the powder that you use. It is somewhat easy to pour. It would have been nice if it came with a scoop, but for this price I won't complain about getting a spoon from the kitchen. I will admit to having a nice long soak in the milk bath. I prefer hot baths and normally this causes me to itch because I have been in too long. I soaked in this bath for at least thirty minutes and when I got out of the tub I didn't feel itchy. My skin felt soft and had no greasy feeling at all.

There was no residue left in the tub, but I will say that I had a problem with the powder clumping up after I placed it in the water. I noticed as I was sitting in the tub that I had several small clumps floating around. I have had this happen before with Aveeno bath mixtures, so I felt along the bottom of the tub. Sure enough there were several clumps that had sank to the bottom. It appeared that they were rising to the top as they dissolved more. The only problem that I could conceive of with the clumps would be if you were unaware. Stepping on the mixture could cause you to fall as you were trying to get out of the tub. I felt all around the tub but most of the clumps had dissolved after about 15 minutes.

Taste / Aroma

I did not taste this but I did smell it. As a powder, it has a fruity smell that might be considered a bit strong to some. I sprinkled some into the palm of my hand and added a bit of water to it. I rubbed it on my other hand, it was very slick and coated my skin. I smelled it again , because it seemed to be giving off another smell after I added water to it. It smelled a little nutty to me although I have yet to figure out what ingredient would give off that particular smell. It washed off easily and the smell didn't take long to dissipate from my skin.
    • Light smell
    • Smells good
    • Strong smell

Quite honestly smell of the product only lasted long enough for me to dry off and leave the room. I did notice that my skin felt softer and I didn't feel itchy like I normally do when getting out of a hot bath. There was no residue in the tub as I stated above but you need to be careful to check the tub before trying to stand just in case some of the powder sank to the bottom. For me there was no extra cleaning of the tub needed. The thing that I liked most about this product is that it had a lovely smell. I didn't like how fast the smell went away after I left the tub.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

The bath milk comes in an eight ounce plastic jar inside of a plastic bag. There are instructions on the side of the jar, explaining that it needs to be added to running water. The packaging is discreet as long as no one read the label itself.
    • Recyclable
    • Travel friendly
    • Would make a nice gift

Special Features

The Dona line is supposed to be products that are aphrodisiac infused. I had no increased sexual feeling after using this. It felt like any other bath product that I have use. I did feel very relaxed after using this and that hasn't happened to me before. I don't know if that was the bath milk or if I just really needed a good soak.
Follow-up commentary
I love how soft my skin feels after bathing with this. It is also very relaxing and smells wonderful. I will continue to use this as often as I can.
