Gold Dust will turn you into a golden goddess!

This is an awesome product! I love my Gold Dust because it's so much fun to use. It smells yummy and it's very silky. I like that it came with a puff but it's really thin and applying powder with it gets messy. I choose to use a makeup brush with mine instead. For the price this is a great item! You should definitely pick some up! I'd highly recommend it!

Use

Gold Dust is a silky powder full of shimmer and gold micro-glitter! It even comes with an applicator puff. It makes you glow and shimmer in the light! It gives you that shimmery sun kissed look any time of year. It's particularly fun to use in the fall for that golden autumn look or too add a festive golden shimmer on holidays like Christmas. Plus it smells delicious!

I personally bought this for myself but it would also make a nice gift. It's not sexual in any way so you could purchase it for friends or even your mom!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Gold dust is a very fine powder. It's really pretty! It's very light, shimmery and golden. It contains shimmer and very small gold micro-glitter. When I look into the jar it looks dazzling!

It feels very silky and smooth. I think it's easier to use with a makeup brush instead of the puff because it can be a little messy. It feels silky, smooth, and velvety on the skin. Glitter and shimmer doesn't wear off easily unless you wash it off or rub it off on purpose. Even if you rub it off sparkles are really hard to get off.

Taste / Aroma

The powder smells like yummy vanilla! The scent is very sweet like a sugar cookie. When you smell the jar it's pretty strong but when you apply it the scent is light. I really love it! It smells delicious.

Unfortunately the dust isn't edible. I wish it tasted as good as it smells! It contains talc and mica and it tastes chalky and gross so don't eat it!

Performance

Here are some that ideas that I've come up with on how to use Gold Dust.

1. Add a little shimmer and sparkle to your shoulders or chest/cleavage area.
2. Use it as a highlighter above the brow bone or on the highest area of your cheekbones for a shimmery glow.
3. Apply to arms, legs, and the backs of your hands for a little sparkle!

Sparkles don't come off easily but you can always wash it off with soap and water. I lasted a very long time for me! I've used it on my hands, chest, and as a shimmy highlight on my cheekbones. I love the yummy scent so much! I don't really care for the puff. I use a big fluffy makeup brush which I tap into the lid and then brush the dust onto my arms and chest. I use a tiny fluffy eyeshadow brush to apply it as a highlighter. You can see the shimmery and sparkly effect best outside in the sunlight or in a really well lit room. In a room that's not very bright, like my room during the night, I can still faintly see the glitter.

The dust contains honey which claims to be used to moisturize the skin. I'm not really sure about the moisturizing effect but the talc makes your skin very soft and smooth!

Packaging

Gold Dust comes in a white plastic jar with a gold plastic twist lid. It also comes with a puff that is gold on the back and has a giraffe/cheetah type of print. The puff is really soft but it's very thin like the type of puff they give you in a powder compact.

There's a total of 28 grams of product in the jar!

The jar is really pretty! Buy it for yourself as a little luxury item or buy it as a gift. There's nothing sexual about the label whatsoever so it's safe to have out on the dresser when people visit or to give out as a gift.

Special Features

This product contains honey which claims to have skin moisturizing effects.

Personal comments

Gold Dust

Swatch (back of hand)

Ingredients: Mica/Titanium Dioxode and/or Mica Iron Oxide, Corn Starch, Honey Extract, and Fragrance.

The scent is strong in the jar. When applied to the skin I can only smell it if I put my nose really close. If you're really sensitive to scented products it might bother you and it might not. I don't really know because I don't have any issues with scented products. I'll just say that it doesn't bother me at all and I love the scent.
Follow-up commentary
Now that the holidays are right around the corner I find myself using this product more often for a little extra holiday shimmer. I use a fluffy kabuki brush and sparingly use it on my arms, legs, shoulders, ect. Anywhere skin is showing when I'm dressed in my holiday best. It smells really good but I prefer it to be unscented or have more of a perfume type of scent because it's not edible. You get a LOT of product and it'll last you a really long time. I threw the little fluffy puff away because it was too messy and annoying to use. I still love this product! I'd definitely buy it again but I doubt I'll be running out for a long time.

I Love this powder! One of my daughters (she's basically an adult) saw me using it and wanted it, so she got a container of it for Christmas from me.

I don't care much for the "puff" either. I use make up brushes for applying it.

Good review. I tend to use this more in the winter, but I love it all the time.

Lovely review, Violet. I especially appreciate the tips you gave in the performance section. I wonder, though, does the fragrance seem strong, or light? Would it trouble someone with allergies?

Also, if the tub has a complete ingredients list, I'd love to read it. Great review!
