Flirty little secret body butter with pheromones - body moisturizer by Booty Parlor - review by DeliciousSurprise

I'll Keep You My Flirty Little Secret

If you like sugary/sweeter scents, this will be a winner for you--unfortunately, I just don't care for it. As a body butter, it's a great moisturizer, and a little goes a long way, though I can't attest to its claims of instant sexual attraction by the men around you. Even so, this is a winner.
Does a great job moisturizing, thick and creamy.
I absolutely hate the scent.

The Flirty Little Secret is a body butter with a twist-- it features pheromones to make you feel your sexiest (and, perhaps, make others find you a bit sexier, too). Perfect for locking in moisture after a shower, pampering yourself after painting your nails, or soothing dry or chapped skin, the Flirty Little Secret Body Butter is geared towards women, but men who fancy the scent and a bit of sparkle might love it, too. People with allergies should refer to the list of ingredients included in the packaging section--the last thing you want interrupting your relaxing experience is a nasty rash.

This product is for touching, not for tasting, and it should not be used internally.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This body butter actually has what I consider the perfect consistency for body butters; it's thick and creamy, but it spreads well and absorbs quickly. I don't find it to be greasy or oily at all, and it leaves virtually no residue once it's absorbed into your skin. While you would be able to pour it out of the tub, it doesn't slide around that quickly--so if the cat knocks it off the table, you'll have a mess but still be able to salvage your butter.

Taste / Aroma

The aroma... Here's where I ran into my trouble with this butter. I tried to like it, but I just found that it did nothing for me. The blackberry smells very candied, almost like blackberry preserve, but I do smell the honey undertones and appreciate that they balance well. The packaging comments that this also has notes of vanilla, but I don't really notice them--but there's a reason this is labeled Blackberry Honey scented--the vanilla is subtle, so subtle I can't smell it. The body butter also contains cranberry and açai berry extracts, but I did not find them to be incredibly noticeable, either.

This body butter also contains pheromones, meant to subtly inspire self-confidence, flirtation, and attention from the opposite sex. While I can't say I was looking for any extra attention from men, I don't believe I got any. For what it's worth, I didn't get any extra attention from women, either, so it might be me and not the pheromones. However, it might just be that I don't give of the right ~*vibe*~ for the pheremones to do their duty--so your mileage may vary.

I found that the lotion did well in moisturizing my skin; it was easy to apply or remove. It's difficult to judge how long a lotion lasts, but I didn't feel the need to keep reapplying it, so it was working well enough to last through several hours of winter cold.

The lotion also has a hint of glitter--we aren't talking Twilight sparkle, but it does leave a very subtle shimmer wherever it's applied; not enough to be tacky, just enough to notice after applying it to you skin.

The butter's box says it will create "instant attraction" and will make me irresistible to the opposite sex. On that front, I'm pretty sure it flopped--but as a body butter, it worked well.

The product came in a lovely silver box (cardboard) that would be very nice for gifting; the tub itself is pretty enough to be kept out without the box. The box mentions some details about the butter including that it's paraben and lanolin free, and that it contains Murumuru and Cupuaçu butters, and Jojoba, Coconut and Avocado oils.

It also lists the ingredients, so listen up if you've got an allergy:
Water, Glycerin, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Ceteryl Alcohol, Glycol Stearate, Triethanolamine, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Isododecane, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Botanistat (PF-64), Androstenol, Flamenco Superpearl, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Carbopol, Murumuru Butter, Cupuaco Butter, Passion Fruit Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Cranberry (Vaccinium Macrocarpon) Fruit Extract, Acai (Euterpe Oleracea) Fruit Extract, Red 40 Lake (CI 16035), Red 33 (CI 17200), and Citric Acid.

The tub itself is really lovely; the lid is black and it features the words, "booty parlor presents Flirty Little Secret..." It looks like any tub of body butter, so even if someone picks it up, they shouldn't be too offended. The tub itself is a frosted pink, decorated with stars, the brand name, and a line about what is inside the tub.
Follow-up commentary
I recently opened the tub to see if I liked the scent a little more these days, but I'm still not a fan of the highly candied scent. I plan on giving it away to a coworker - I'm sure one of them will appreciate the body butter a bit more than I can. I wish I liked it more, since it really does a good job at moisturizing my skin!
