Foot foreplay - lotion discontinued by Intimate Organics - review by Red

Intimate Organics Foot Foreplay lotion is a thick moisturizer marketed as a foot cream. Of course, as you might expect, this means that it is a heavy duty moisturizer that is on the greasier end of the spectrum, but it does not mean it *has* to be used for feet. Indeed, this cream is well suited for any body spot in need of heavier moisturizing - feet, elbows...even hands. However, since it is thick and greasy, it has a certain amount of longevity that makes it great for foot massage, so do be aware that it won't get absorbed very fast.

Foot Foreplay is thin enough to squeeze our of the tube with ease, but it is best described as thick. It melts very quickly at body temperature to smooth out easily and spread over a large area with ease. It is a lovely lotion that is really perfect for a decadent foot rub where your goal is to really slick up your feet, not have quickly absorbed lotion.

The scent of the cocoa and gogi berry is very sweet and berry scented - like viva puffs, or chocolate frosting and raspberry jam. I really like this scent, because I use this product for foot massage at the end of a long day, and I don't mind smelling like a dessert when I'm close to diving into bed. At best, it makes my partner want to eat me up like I'm a sweet, sweet slice of pie. At worst, it's a pleasant scent to have lingering on my bed-sheets and myself when I wake up in the morning (and it certainly washes away in the shower). It is a very sweet scent, and it's probably not everyone's top choice, but all in all, it's rather delicious. Foot Foreplay also came in two other scents - orange ginger and coconut lemongrass - both of which would have been less sweet. I am actually glad that the other scents were out of stock, because I would not have chosen coco and gogi if there were options, but I am really in love with this scent for foot rubs. Delicious smell aside, the stuff is not edible, so don't go there.

If I squeeze out a quarter sized dollop and use it one one foot, I'll have enough slickness to work away at that foot for half an hour or so. So one could say, the lotion lasts thirty minutes per application. It does eventually work into the skin, and thus when it "runs out" its just that enough of it has absorbed such that the slickness is reduced. Addition of a little more cream bring things back to life in a jiffy. This lotion does not flake up or collect strangely or anything - it just applies smoothly and works in slowly. When I finish, I always have to wash my hands with soap and water, because typically it has not worked into my palms so well.

Intimate Organics has moved through a revamping of sorts in recent months (years?) and no longer makes many of its body products, including Foot Foreplay. I noticed pretty late that this was happening but managed to snap up a few spare bottles of this wonderful stuff before it went out of stock forever. So unless Eden Fantasys has some supplier with tricks up their sleeves, this product is no more.
