My jeans are stuck to my butt!

The Spank and Soothe creams from the Black Rose line can be a good addition to your impact play...as long as you don't mind the minimal sensations it provides and the fact that they're so sticky they need to be washed off after use. The ingredient list is long and scary but there are a few recognizable ingredients, such as aloe and capscium, that provide the cooling and tingling sensations.

Use

The Black Rose Spank and Soothe creams from Doc Johnson’s Black Rose line are meant to enhance any impact play session. Both creams can be used on your ass, back, legs, stomach, or chest if you enjoy being hit in those areas. The Spank cream is meant to be used before play. When applied to skin, it can provide a warm tingling sensation that enhances each smack and tickle. The Soothe cream is meant to be used on skin after play. It’s a moisturizing cream that is meant to calm and soothe the skin. The Soothe cream can also be used as an everyday skin moisturizer if you enjoy the smell and effects of the cream.

Ingredients:
Spank: Propylene glycol, gylcerin, zea mays (corn) starch, sorbitan oleate, polyacrylamide, isopropyl palmitate, polysorbate 20, zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract, piper nigrum (pepper) resin, cinnamonum cassia resin, capsicum frutescens resin, capscium annuum resin, C 13-14 isoparraffin, laureth-7, butylene glycol, fragrance (parfum), water, citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, red 33

Soothe: Water, propanediol, glycerin, polyacrylamide, pentylene glycol, sodium polyacrylate, panthenol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, sodium hyaluronate, 4-t-butylcyclohexonal, chamomila recutita (matricaria) flower extract, C 13-14 isoparaffin, PVM/MA copolymer, laureth-7, fragrance (parfum), citric acid, diazolidinyl urea, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate

So what does all of that alphabet soup mean? Basically, the ingredients kind of suck. It does contain glycerin and a few petroleum derived ingredients. It’s not organic in the least. It’s not meant for internal use so those ingredients shouldn’t irritate your genitals unless you don’t wash your hands and the creams get introduced to your sensitive skin.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Spank: The Spank cream is a bright pink color. The Spank cream has a thick, gooey consistency, almost like melted chewing gum or melted taffy. It doesn’t pour out of the container, you have to scoop it out. It’s fairly sticky but this means it does stay on the skin where you spread it. Once it has been spread onto the skin, the area remains sticky and wet from the cream. It does not absorb into skin.

Soothe: The Soothe cream is white in color. It has a much different texture than the Spank cream, thankfully. It’s more like an everyday moisturizer. It’s much thinner than the Spank cream and has the consistency of a thin lotion. This cream will pour out of the container easily so do not tip the jar! I made the mistake of doing this and I got Soothe cream everywhere. It does absorb into skin but it absorbs slowly. It feels greasy on skin until it is fully absorbed or washed off.

Taste / Aroma

Both of these creams have a pleasant passion fruit scent. I personally love the scent; it’s bright and fruity. However, the scent is artificial and can be overwhelming for those who are sensitive to smells. It lingers for quite a while and will perfume the room you’re using these creams in.

I’m not going to taste these creams...that ingredient list is kind of terrifying and I don’t recommend ingesting these creams.
    • Smells good

Performance

These creams aren’t the greatest, performance wise. Looking at the ingredient list, the Spank cream does contain capscium, which should be responsible for the tingling or warming sensation. The Soothe cream contains aloe, which should be responsible for the soothing and cooling sensation. However, I really don’t think that the ratio of these ingredients is enough. The tingling of the Spank cream could only be felt when I used it on thinner skin, like my hands or my forearms. On my butt, I couldn’t feel anything but sticky cream. My partner had to go wash his hands after he applied this to my skin because it was too sticky for him. The Spank cream didn’t enhance the sensation too much. The Soothe cream, however, does have a significant cooling sensation if you use a good amount. Plus, who doesn’t love a massage after impact play. Whether the soothing came from the cream or from my partner massaging this into my skin, I don’t really care.

After play, these creams can be sticky on the skin. I mean really sticky. The first time we tried these creams, I didn’t wash the Soothe cream off my butt and just got dressed right away. We left the house to run errands soon after we were finished and I had to walk all around town with my jeans sticking to my butt cheeks. My partner kept laughing at me because I was quite obviously uncomfortable. I’d really recommend washing these off with a wet wipe like EdenFantasys wipes, a wash cloth, or even a shower.

Packaging

The creams come packaged together in a black and purple cardboard box. The packaging is pretty standard of the Black Rose line. The front has a picture of a half naked woman on it so it is not the most discreet at all. The back has information about the creams including the ingredients.

Inside of the box are the two jars the creams are stored in. Each jar is 2 oz and has a plastic screw-on lid. The jars do have Black Rose labels that say “Spank Cream” and “Soothe Cream.” If you wanted to leave these creams out in the open, the labels can be removed so you have plain plastic jars.
    • Does not leak
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

I enjoyed these creams but they still have a lot of flaws. They enhance impact play but only by a little bit. If you’re looking for some serious tingling or cooling sensations, there are better creams to use. I’d recommend them to couples who want some basic “erotic” creams and don’t mind having to wash them off afterwards.
