Over under lip conditioner - lip balm discontinued by Not Soap Radio - review by nanamondoute

This lip conditioner is best used as a first layer over your lips before you put on any lip gloss/lipstick. Otherwise, it will make a mess (the color from the lipstick/lip gloss will get everywhere). This product is meant to help keep your lips moistened and soft like a normal lip balm. As this is colorless and tasteless, this product is for both men and women. This may be recommended especially if you have chapped lips.

As you can tell from the ingredients, this conditioner contains a variety of plant oils.

The texture is smooth and waxy. It's not like a gel. The product comes as a solid in a small round container (1/3 Oz) that is a little bigger than half a dollar, so you can use your fingers or a lip brush to apply the product to your lips. It feels like Chapstick or lip balm, although it's not as moistening as lip balm. The product creates a very thin layer on my lips and doesn't seem to help as much as I would like with keep my lips moistened. It lasts only about an hour before I have to reapply.

This item is tasteless, but it smells like some sort of flower. I'm not so sure what it is. The smell is a bit overwhelming -- it smells like those strongly scented flower candles out there.

The lip conditioner works okay. It didn't make my lips feel the most moistened. Actually, I would rather use something like Burt's Bees or Chapstick if my lips were really chapped, since this seem to provide quite a thin layer. As previously mentioned, this product only seemed to last for an hour before reapplication was needed. Perhaps you need to apply generously -- I usually just applied one layer with my lip brush as I do with my other lip products. It doesn't make your lips shiny -- it's pretty invisible.

If you use this every day, I can imagine this lasting for perhaps a month or two. But if you constantly reapply throughout the day, I think this would last for a little less than a month.

The item comes in the container shown in the picture in a ziplock bag. It's small, so you can just throw it in your purse if you're on the go.

The conditioner was fine for what it did. It's not anything remarkable. It's an average priced lip conditioner (~$5). For the price and its mediocre quality, I would say give it a try. But, I would recommend other products at similar price ranges if you really needed something that helped the lips (e.g. Neutrogena, Burt's Bees, etc.).
