Not Plumping At All

This isn't really worth it at all. It's pricey, sticky, and doesn't live up to it's name. I don't see how it would be an aphrodisiac, but it's not plumping at all.

Use

This product is intended for use on the lips, as a plumping lip gloss. It does not really live up to its name, since it's not plumping at all, but it can still be worn as a gloss on it's own or over lipstick to add some gloss to your color. This would not really add to oral sex in any way at all, and would probably only be sticky and annoying in that case. This is basically for aesthetics only.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This balm is kind of thick, and sticky. It is not at all gloopy on the lips, but I know how my partner hates it when I get lipgloss on him when I give him kisses, and this would definitely be worse than any sort of Chapstick or lip balm sticks. This will stick and be sticky on your partner if you kiss them with it on. I wear my EOS lip balms that I got from EF everyday, and if my partner gets that on himself he can just wipe it off and it's gone. With this, it would streak across his face and he might feel a need to get it off with water, since it's thick and sticky. This sort of has a gel consistency. Like, I can take the applicator out of the tube, and hold the tube full of gloss upside down, and it doesn't have a chance of leaking, dripping, or spilling out. However, I would make sure to close the cap on this if you're going to be keeping it with you, since nobody would want this stuff smudged all over the inside of their purse!

Taste / Aroma

For me, I liked the idea of this being a plumping mint balm. Plus, it looked like it would be sheer or have a faint pink color, which was great for me. As I said, this is not really plumping at all, I noticed no plumping whatsoever. I couldn't quite place the smell of this when I opened it, but it was not mint. I wear mint lip balm just about every day. This lip balm did not smell fresh, clean, and tingly. In fact, when I first opened this the first thing I thought of was cigars. It made me think of certain nursing homes I've visited, and people who smoke cigars. It has that sort of smell to it, it's hard to describe with anything other than "kind of like cigars, but not so much mint". I asked my friend how she thought this smells, and she said this smells kind of like mint when she first smelled it, then agreed with me and said it smelled like cigars. She smelled it again and said it smells like people who smoke menthol cigarettes, I couldn't agree more or think of a better way to describe the smell. Strange smell for a beauty product. The smell isn't super strong, I don't think anyone would smell it on your face unless their face was inches away from yours. This has a light taste, and the taste is exactly the same as the smell. It has a very, very mild tingle like you might expect from a mint balm, even though it isn't all that minty. It doesn't burn or feel uncomfortable. For me, the smell is the worst aspect of this balm.

Performance

As I said before, if you kiss someone with this on, it won't absorb into their skin and it would leave a sticky residue that they might feel the need to wash off. This wouldn't be useful for anything other than adding gloss to your lips. You could apply this over a lipstick, since the balm itself has no noticeable color to it; it appears pink in the tube, but it goes on clear. It doesn't feel natural or smooth on the lips. It doesn't really need to be reapplied, it lasts a little while on the lips.

The ingredients are not all that natural, but what could you expect from something that claims to plump lips? It does contain mineral oil, which I've heard can actually be drying for lips. I assume the ginger root oil and powder are supposed to do the plumping, but they are ineffective. I noticed no plumping, burning, or tingling. This is basically just an expensive tube of strange smelling lip gloss.

Packaging

According to the box, this shade is called Tremble.

The tube itself is about the size of a typical lip gloss.

This has a brush applicator, with thin little bristles. If you apply this over something with color, lip a lipstick, using the applicator, the bristles will stain.

Special Features

Again, no special features. Claims to be plumping, but didn't plump at all.

Experience

This is not a great product, and not worth the price at all. I will stick to my EOS sweet mints balms. I much prefer their mint balms to any others that I've used, it's moisturizing and not sticky or thick. They come in the sphere or stick, I prefer the stick but I find that they are the same product in a different package. I will jsut keep using my EOS sweet mint smooth stick!

This is glossy, and can be applied on it's own or over a lip color. Still, there are much cheaper and better alternatives out there!
Follow-up commentary
I'm not a fan of this stuff. Since I opened it and used it, I wasn't able to return it. A total waste, not worth the money. Sticky, smells, and is just overall not amazing.
