Roll On, Perfume, Roll On

Perfume oil from Principessa beauty is a lovely product, and I find myself wishing that my favorite perfumes could be available in such a desirable applicator/container. The scent of the perfume itself, however, isn't the best - floral, yes, but with a lingering after scent that is stale and musky. Perfume is a very personal thing, of course, so it's hard to say how it will work for someone else.
Travel friendly, potent, pleasant smelling when freshly applied.
Lingering scent is less pleasant.

Perfume Oil from Principessa Beauty is an attractive little bottle of concentrated scent, perfect for tossing in your purse for a quick pick me up scenting on the go. The oil is very, very concentrated, but the bottle allows for a quick and easy dabbing. Although I cannot speak about all four scent options, the one I have, Isolina, is attractive, sweet and floral.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The perfume oil is very thin and runny, like any eau de parfum, but this is not a negative due to the perfectly designed bottle in which it is housed. The scent is so concentrated that it stays in place when dabbed lightly, quickly drying and staying in place after very application. Application itself is very easy - the bottle allows you to easily apply the lightest of touch with little to no effort.

Taste / Aroma

The aroma of this particular oil is "Isolina" (which means 'little island'). The scent is quite floral, but not an immature floral that is burdened with overpowering sugary undertones. Rose comes out quite clearly to me, as does orange blossom, and the description says violet also plays a role. The undertones, however (and the lingering qualities of the scent) are a bit more complex than just floral - 'precious woods' is the claim, and I can see that on some level, but it's not pleasant like cedar or pungent like sandalwood, it's just a little...stale. Like pine furniture that's been well used but is still only a few months old.

Being a perfume oil, the scent is of course quite potent.
    • Bad smell
    • Smells good
    • Strong smell

The tiny plastic bottle of perfume features a roll on applicator for applying the perfume oil. This is a brilliant way to package a perfume, and makes it an ideal bottle to toss into a purse for quick scent touch ups on the go. The roll on works magnificently - the ball of the roll on is tight and does not leak relentlessly, as roll on applicators can.

The scent of the perfume oil lasts all day long, and then some. The floral tones that define the top notes of the scent do not last past six hours or so, but the lingering undertones and low notes in the scent definitely do.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Allergy concerns

This perfume oil comes packaged in a tight fitting cardboard tube, which is classy looking and worth keeping as a protective "just in case" for the actual tube of perfume. The tube has a lid that slides off easily and slides back on firmly. There is a nice little quote on the back of the tube: "happiness is a perfume that you can't pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself". In addition to the double negative, it's a nice quote but it's inaccurate - this stuff won't spill!

Great review, it's too bad the lingering scent isn't that pleasant.
