Splashy Clean

Sliquid Splash is a gentle feminine wash that works as an amazing alternative to soap to women who are sensitive to some chemicals. I haven't had any problems with it in the slightest, and when this bottle runs out, I'm definitely buying another.

extremely useful review
I've never purchased body washes or soaps or anything like that that are specifically made for my vagina. Like, ever. In fact, when I got it in the mail, the boyfriend thought I was insane for buying specific vagina soap (and that's what he now calls it when he sees it in the bathroom.) However, I've always, always been sensitive to dyes/scents in regular body soap, so I figured using something like the Splash would make it comfortable (and not so freakin' itchy) to achieve an easy clean on a regular basis. In didn't hurt that the bottle is so freakin' adorable.

Sliquid Splash is made by Sliquid (Surprise!). It comes in three scenes: Grapefruit/Thyme, Cucumber/Honeydew, or Unscented. I have Unscented to give me the best possible experience. The bottle includes 8.5 fl ounces, and is basically the same size as most smaller squeeze bottles of mousse. (I'm thinking specifically of the brand "Bed Head".) It's intended to be used as a feminine wash since it's PH-balanced and is made without any harsh chemicals like some body washes are.

The ingredients are Purified H20, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Coco Betaine, Coco Amide, Sea salt, Citiric acid, EGMS, Essential Oil Frangrances, DMDM Hydantoin, and FD&C red#40. Since mine is unscented, there aren't any essential oil fragrances or red#40.

I use this every day when I take a shower. It just sits in the shower. It pours out pretty well (it's slightly more runny than most shower gels - it's more like a shampoo consistency), and I've found that a quarter-sized amount (or smaller) works just fine to clean the entire area. The bottle looks pretty in my shower, and it's a plastic bottle with a pop-top, so you can go ahead and drop it on accident without any bad consequences. I'm also extremely happy to report that I haven't had any itching or anything with this body wash. Nothing. Nada. It seems to clean exactly as it claims to do, the boyfriend doesn't notice a taste (unless it's right after a shower), and it washes off really easily. It lathers up just fine as well - almost like it actually is shampoo. The bottle says that it can be used as a shower gel as well, but I'm saving it just for vaginal use since there's a limited amount, and it seems to be working well.

Afterwards, I just feel clean. It doesn't leave any awkward soap traces or anything like that, and it's extremely easy to clean off. It does seem to do away with vaginal odors and whatnot for quite a bit after your shower - it doesn't do it all day obviously, so if you are out and sweating, you'd need another shower. The unscented is actually completely unscented, and there's no trace left behind at all. I think I'd give the scent ones a try if there was actually a scent I enjoyed out of the Splash line-up, but I don't think I'd like any of these. Apparently, according to the manufacturer site, they do produce a "Spring Blossom" scent now as well.

I am extremely happy to report on how many uses I'm getting out of this. I use it pretty much every other day (to prevent dryness even though I honestly don't think it would cause it in the slightest. I just like to use things in moderation.) I've been doing that for about a month and a half now, so like 20 uses, and I easily still have more than 3/4 of the bottle left. And that's me - I suck at being "conversative" with body products. I always pour too much. This should last people probably at least two or three months with daily use - less with conservative use. Especially if you only use it as a vaginal wash like I do.

I honestly can't say anything bad about Splash. I got nothing. At all. It lathers great, it doesn't make me itchy or dry, it makes me feel clean, and the bottle looks adorable and non-threatening sitting in the shower. It's going to last me a long, long time, and when it's out? I'm purchasing another one. I love this, and this is easily my most favorite "feminine wash" that I've ever tried.
Follow-up commentary
I still love my Sliquid Splash with a passion! I bought another bottle actually when my old one ran out. I'm really sensitive to regular body soap, so having a made-for-sensitive-ares soap is a god-send. It works amazingly, and my old bottle lasted me about three months with regular genital use, so I was impressed. I hope Sliquid never stops making this soap because it's now my favorite soap.
