Use

The Intimacy Love Kit from Booty Parlor is a product designed as a one use collection of your sexual enhancement basics. Since you can only get one or two uses at maximum out of this kit, it is meant more for a special night out with your sweetie. It's also a great little trick for singles to hide up their sleeve (or in a bedside bureau) to spice things up on the fly. A scented body oil is included for sensual foreplay, and condoms, a single use vibrating cock & water based lubricant are included for the main attraction. The subtle and pint-sized packaging also makes it easy to throw into a purse or messenger bag to take with you when you leave the house hoping to get lucky.

Booty Parlor's massage oil and lubricant both include glycerin, so those that are sensitive to this material should avoid their use.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Booty Parlor's massage oil and water based lubricant were unfortunately the low point of the kit. The cock ring functioned very well considering it was a single use jelly, and the condoms held up just fine as well. Trouble came with the two sample vials of Don't Stop Massage Oil and Add Magic Lubricant.

The lubricant is not a total bust, and in fact has quite a few strong qualities. It does dry nicely; it doesn't slough off in dandruff-y flakes nor does it leave behind a gummy mess. All toys are safe to use in combination with this lube as well because it is water based. Water based lubricants will not bond to or in any way damage silicone, jelly, TPR, TPE or any other sex toy material. This lube also does not stain, nor is it runny or stringy in texture.

However, it's not all roses. During intercourse it was necessary to continue to reapply the Add Magic Lubricant over and over as it seems to evaporate quite literally. This also made the lubricant very bad for handjobs and other external uses because the exposure to open air seemed to accelerate the drying. It worked a little better during penetration, but not by too much. This can be especially problematic if you are using it for anal play, so exercise caution. Additionally, those with a sensitivity to glycerin should avoid this lubricant; it causes itching and even a slight burning if you are sensitive to it. Those that are prone to yeast infections should also avoid this product as glycerin is a carbohydrate (which facilitates yeast growth).

The Don't Stop Massage Oil, unlike the Add Magic Lubricant, was a patently unpleasant experience. It also contains glycerin, so the same restrictions as above apply if you are sensitive to this ingredient. The box also states that the oil MAY contain Blue 1 and/or Red 33. If you have an allergy to either of those dyes you should veer on the side of caution and avoid using this oil. Don't Stop Massage Oil has the consistency of corn syrup; it is very, very sticky and gummy and immediately creates an unpleasant friction on the skin it is applied to. It truly does not lend itself to massage because of its inability to properly lubricate.

Oil does stain fabrics, so please be careful if using this near or on a bed or while wearing lingerie. You may also want to keep a towel on hand to wipe away excess oil or in the event of a spill.

Taste / Aroma

The Add Magic Lubricant is relatively clean smelling without any harsh or irritating perfumes. It does have a vague aroma of Elmer's paste, but the smell fades as it evaporates. The smell is not intrusive or noticeable unless you get up close. There is a very faintly bitter taste to it, but it is again, not too strong. It's not exactly pleasant, but also not particularly offensive.

This oil, on the other hand, has a pungently sweet aroma, almost floral, which is pervasive and lasts long after you wash the oil off of your skin. It is an unnatural, chemical sort of scent which would probably not be considered pleasant by most. If you suffer headaches or migraines that can be triggered by strong, perfume-y scents this is NOT the massage oil for you!

Performance

As the two samples of oil and lube have already been addressed, this section will be used to talk about the cock ring and condoms. The cock ring is made out of a jelly-like material that is not listed in the product description, on the package, or on its website. It might be made out of TPR or TPE, but whatever the case: it is not safe to store openly with silicone as the silicone can warp or melt the ring. It should also be noted that all of the possible materials listed above are porous, so it can absorb microbes and breed bacteria.

This cock ring is recommended for single use only, however, so this should not be a problem as long as you use it only once and dispose of it afterward. The vibrator in the ring lasts at a maximum of 20 minutes, and its battery cannot be replaced. The vibrations emitted are very shallow and buzzy, but are transmitted very well through the jelly-like material. A small single-touch button turns the single speed vibrator on and off easily, and soft, rounded nodules on the clitoral attachment add to the sensation. When in use there is a high-pitched whine from the vibrator, but it is rather quiet and can barely be heard through a heavy blanket.

Another positive aspect of the cock ring is that it's very flexible, which makes it a comfortable fit for most wearers. It can be worn just around the base of the penis for pleasant sensations for both the wearer and the other partner, or it can be worn around the testicles and shaft at once to delay orgasm and prolong erection. The ring can be used to stimulate the clitoris of a female bodied individual, or turned around the stimulate the testicles of the wearer. For a single use cock ring, there are quite a lot of options and many ways that it may be enjoyed.

The two condoms included in the kit are made out of latex, so they should not be used with oil-based lubricant as oil can weaken latex condoms. No tears were observed during or after use and they hold up to a substantial amount of rough use. They are listed as being 'average' sized and larger than average individuals may experience slight discomfort due to the tightness of the base ring.

Packaging

The Intimacy Love Kit truly deserves an A+ in presentation. Its packaging consists of a cardboard box, finished with a fine, black water-resistant paper. The front of the package features pink, metallic embossed vines and in the center of the panel rests a raised cardboard tile that features the product name. A small pink ribbon separates a flap that fastens with an invisible magnetic strip, ensuring your materials stay securely where they are meant to. The box opens like a small, squat book, with two pink, lined compartments on each "page" (which hold the two sample vials and the cock ring & condoms respectively). Foamcore "nests" create snug little nooks for the two vials to sit inside of.

This packaging is very chic and under-stated, making it difficult to identify as a sexual enhancement product unless you look closely. It's perfect for traveling with or tucking away in a bedside drawer. It also adds an air of romance and class to the affair, keeping very much true to the name "Intimacy Love Kit".
Follow-up commentary
This kit is obviously not meant for more than one or two uses, but we kept the oil and lube around for a while after the original review. Okay, correction: I kept it around because I was confused about how others could like any of this Booty Parlor stuff. I kept holding onto those little beakers of goop thinking "I'll try them again." Well, I did one night during a very abrupt and no-nonsense quickie session. I knew the tubes were right there on the desk so I grabbed the lube and...ugh. Again. Hated it. But the massage oil is probably the worst, I'd have to say. I tried that again on myself and it was still sticky, way too sweet and generally icky and gross. Bleh.

A friend of mine actually won a big kit of Booty Parlor stuff one night at a Sinclair Sexsmith lecture we went to. She got some kind of body glitter that we're both obsessed with now, but she chucked the rest. Seems like Booty Parlor needs to regroup and re-issue some revised versions of these products. It's too bad, because they look cute as hell.
