The silicone base of this product provides an effective barrier against chafing and other irritation after shaving. Although I found the initial smell to be unpleasant, I don't notice it after getting dressed. A few sprays provide all day protection that makes the competition look like child's play. The price is steep, so you might want to keep your eye out for sales and scoop up a few at a time.

I was wary of trying this product because it's an oil, but it turns out that I didn't need to be. Although this product is oil-based, it sprays in a fine mist that feels pretty light on my skin. It doesn't even feel greasy when I rub it in, which you're supposed to do for a more dramatic effect. I expected it would feel something like my Not Soap Radio oil perfume, which does feel pretty greasy, but this does not.

It does a damned good job of protecting my legs, however. I wore it the day of shaving my super-sensitive bikini line and it felt great. I couldn't even tell I had shaved. I can't even describe how much of an improvement this is. Without any product, the best case scenario is chafing. The worst case scenario is bumps that turn painful or become infected. This type of irritation in the bikini area only becomes worse because I so frequently walk. The silicone base of this product really seemed to provide a good barrier between my thighs and pants. I also use far fewer sprays to cover the same area than with Coochy protection spray. I have to wait for that and it doesn't seem to provide as much of a barrier. A little goes a lot longer with this, which is good news. My Coochy spray bottle emptied very quickly.

An added benefit is that wherever I apply the oil, my skin tends to feel soft. It's not an all-day effect, but it's nice nonetheless.

This oil bottle sprays from every direction with ease, and I hope this remains the case. This is especially true because Devine's after shave product costs about twice as much per ounce, unfortunately. You may have good luck using a light silicone lube with added chamomile and Vitamin E. I'm not the type of person who's inclined to try my DIY arts with beauty products, though.

Silicone can stain fabrics, and while I haven't experienced this personally, you might want to spot test any areas of your pants, leggings or panties that might touch areas treated with the after shave oil just in case.

Aside from silicone, the list of ingredients includes natural oils like Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil and orange seed Oil. Chamomile oil makes an appearance, which might be one of the products that makes this soothe my skin so well. It also contains a variant of Vitamin E, but it used the chemical name of Tocopheryl Acetate on the package itself. If you experience reactions to mineral oil, you should stay away from this aftershave spray because it contains it.

The one thing that I don't like about this product is its smell. It's this strange herbal concoction that I cannot stand. It's very in-your-face in the beginning. As soon as I rub it in and get dressed, I can't smell it any more, but that initial whiff gets me every time. It's a small price to pay for such a good product, however.

I agree that the smell is a bit weird. I hadn't thought about the possibility of it staining, I'll keep an eye out. thanks for your experience in written form

I haven't had any staining issues, but it's a known problem with some silicone based lubes. This obviously has a longer ingredient list and is a lot finer than lube, but it's worth considering just in case.
