This product claims to be a spreader bar for beginners. However, I think most beginners would be at a loss with this product. The bar is extremely short and, when I first saw it, I assumed that you could somehow adjust the length. This was a very poor assumption; the cuffs are also too small to perhaps use them on the thighs, so its only use is for the wrists. However, the chains used to hold the cuffs to the bar are rather long, and my wife had no problem reaching from one cuff to the other. The metal is also rather weak and I fear that if it was used to hold a persons arms up, the metal would simply bend if pulled hard enough, so suspending the arms is probably out of the question. However, I cannot say I was crazy enough to try this either.

The material is of rather poor quality from what I expected for a bondage device. The metal is a small gauge and appears similar to metal you see on cheaply made Matchbox cars. The cuffs work very well and are well put together, but the chains are too long to fulfill their desired purpose. The overall design was poorly done and has several glaring flaws, from long chains to a very short bar that does not do anything.

This product failed to serve its desired purpose in any way. It's a spreader bar, so you would assume it would at least keep something spread. However, it does nothing of the sort. If anything, it keeps everything together which, while nice-looking is about as far from the desired affect as possible. On the bright side, it's easy to use, and if you got a pair of them you could use them to replace bondage straps. I say this because I think they could take more tension force and last longer over the time. A bending force from, say, suspending a person's arms or legs in the air would prove to be the bars' undoing and cause more injury or frustration.

So far, I have gotten more enjoyment from the packaging than I did from the device. The air pockets that I found in the box were fun to sneak up behind my wife with to scare her. I don't recall much else about the packaging that I would say warrants much talk. The box was well put together, but it just aids to the misleading product; it does serve to sell the product well.

This product fails so badly, I am surprised that the company actually makes it. The price is comparable to other spreader bars that, after reading their descriptions, are greatly superior to this one. I would honestly say that outside of using this to replace the bondage straps that connect an ankle or wrist to a post or bolt in a bed, I would not purchase this product again and would strongly suggest anyone spend their money elsewhere.
