OH NO Another Bag Review!

If I could redesign this tote, I just might. I'd like for the bottom to be wider and to have some sort of support, the inside material to be washable or spill-resistant, and I'd add an inside pocket at the very least. "For $2?!" you say. For 99 cents I can get a washable bag with bottom support and that is wide enough at the bottom to fit a gallon of milk, so YES. Reusable bag snobs unite!

extremely useful review
After thinking carefully on it, I wondered how I could offer a tote bag review that was any different than the others or at least interesting enough to keep everyone awake. I'll rely on honesty and humor to offer my own take. First and foremost, let me tell you that, yes, edenfantasys does look like a sex-shop name. Individuals who want to call this bag discreet because it doesn't have porn directly on the side are only kidding themselves. You are a walking billboard for a toy store with this on your shoulder, and that's why Eden LOVES to give these out as free gifts. They hope individuals notice the naughty look of this bag and go look up their site. That being said, how comfortable you are with people knowing that you buy sex toys will make a big difference in the use/purpose of this tote.

Use: If you are already distributing Eden cards with your discount code on them, this bag might be the extra attention that you need for that commission. Wave it all around like you just don't care! In terms of those of us who are middle ground people (apathetic about what others think, but not out to specifically draw attention to ourselves)you might actually use this tote as a you would use any tote bag, but you might not take it to work or to your grandma's. For those who are a little more shy, this bag might stay at home for you as storage.

Performance: When buying a tote bag, I'm a bit of a snob. In my experience, tote bags are anywhere from 99 cents to $5.00 for the pretty cloth ones (Eden's is $2.00). The size of the tote bag makes a big difference to me, as does the design, and any additional attention to detail. Eden's tote bag has a few meaningful issues that I would like to address. While the bag is certainly tall enough to hold quite a few items, the bottom itself is thin and long. For instance, if I want to put a gallon of milk in this bag, the bottom is too skinny. Also, there is no support system for the bottom of the bag...many have hard plastic pieces in the bottom (which are easier to clean as well). I have actually seen people cut cardboard to fit the bottom of their reusable bags to ensure the bag has a bottom with support if they lose the plastic piece...I used to work in a grocery store. By the way, before you mention price, I'm talking about the 99 cent bags! So, the Eden bag certainly needs a wider bottom...some of my toy boxes are even too wide to fit it. Moving forward, the Eden bag has an outside that can easily be wiped down in case anything spills, but the inside looks difficult to clean. This is not a washable reusable bag. For a sex toy company that sells lube like crazy, you'd think that the bag might have some protection against product leakage. As for the actual design, there is already a sex shop name on the side...go ahead and make it a little more exciting than some pink and green leaves. Still, I do enjoy the "Sexy & Smart" quote on the opposing side, and I like that the bag is deep. After all, I normally carry a diaper bag, so an oversized tote is just what I need to fit all of my crap.

Material and Size from Eden:
Material:
Nonwoven fabric

Width:

Height:

Weight:
0.1 lb

From me: The width is not 4.5 inches at the bottom. It's a little under 4.25 inches. However the additional width and length of 15 inches are both correct. The stitching of the material is slightly curved and off in places, but there are no loose strings...nothing is falling apart. "Nonwoven fabric" seems a bit general to me, and when I looked it up, it was defined as "a material-like fabric that is chemically bonded." When they say "chemically bonded," I start to wonder how fantastic reusable bags are for the environment after all.
Follow-up commentary
What can I say? This tote just hasn't proven to be very functional. That's really not ALL the tote's fault though...maybe I'm just a bit shy to advertise EF on my person in such a small town. If I were from Chicago, New York City, or another large city, I'd probably use this all the time.
