Sex Furniture or Just Furniture?

If you're thin enough, the well made Liberator Pulse is probably a blast to ride. Everyone else will have to get creative in finding ways to use this unique shape.

Use

The Liberator Pulse is meant as solo-use sex furniture for female bodied individuals to use for hands free sex toy fun. The intention is for the user to ride it, cowgirl style, while a cleverly designed insert holds the dildo in place. Additionally, two pockets allow for the addition of a vibrating bullet.

Unfortunately, anyone not thin enough to show off a model-flat abdomen while lounging about in a red bikini might have trouble using it for the intended purpose, as there's very little room to allow for one's hindquarters or less than perfect belly. It will also cause grief to anyone who tries to use it on a memory foam mattress, as it needs a firmer surface for rocking.

That said, with a little determination and creativity, it can be used in a few less demanding positions, and it's an absolutely fantastic footrest.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material

The exterior of the Liberator Pulse is a removable cover made of a luxurious black not-velvet that looks like it will be instantly ruined by a single drop of lube, but alas, the amazing not-velvet comes out of the washing machine good as new every time.

As for the interior, it's a very dense foam, denser even than memory foam, and there's very little give to it. It doesn't have enough cushion to it for use as a pillow, or in this particular shape, even as something to prop behind you in bed for watching television.

Quality-wise, I'm very impressed with Liberator, as the shape is standing up well to my abuse, and I love the feel of the material.

Performance

As far as the intended use, I'm less than impressed with the Liberator Pulse. I find it awkward to use as it's primarily intended, and it actually works better to give up and get frisky with my video gaming chair, with a few clever modifications, rather than use the Pulse for that rocking motion it promises. The gaming chair doesn't poke me in the belly, it has more than ample room for my no longer teenage rear end, and it blends into the room much better, since I can just park it in front of the television. Of course is needs to be carefully covered, while the Liberator is good to go as is, and the gaming chair needs a makeshift harness strapped onto it, while again, the Liberator is good to go as is, but the Liberator should not have to work this hard to win this comparison.

My other complaint with the Liberator Pulse is that it makes any vibrator that touches it into the loudest sound on Earth. I can barely hear my Jimmyjane Little Steel when it's next to my ear, but stick it in the pocket on the Pulse and it can suddenly be heard through a closed door with the radio playing. Not cool.

While I'm not a fan of using the Pulse with vibration, or in the girl-on-top position, it can be done, and it does kind of work doggie style as well. Positioned on its side, or upsidedown, things can be braced against it well enough, and I like that I can wash it, unlike a pillow jammed into service in a similar way.

The Pulse is the perfect firm-to-cushy ratio for propping up my recently badly injured ankle while sleeping, succeeding where pillows failed. The dildo holder shines for keeping the icepack exactly where I want it. Previously, I had found that turned upsidedown, it worked well for stretching my back as my chiropractor ordered to treat a bit of sciatica.

I've also used it to prop up a plate of nachos, which I probably shouldn't be eating in bed, but it's not a perfect world.

Packaging

The Liberator came sealed in plastic, which was unmarked and therefore easy to recycle. It had a large cardboard insert that gave instructions, and that was ridiculously indiscreet and therefore quickly destroyed. The enclosed instruction booklet is also ridiculously indiscreet, seeing as it's packed full of pretty naked people having lots of fun with Liberator products.

Care and Maintenance

The exterior of the Liberator Pulse is machine washable, which is great. It's come out of the laundry perfect every time, even after the incident with the nacho cheese. Storing it is an enormous pain in the butt, since it's big and awkward shaped, so I've taken to making the bed with it under the covers, and then disguising the lump with pillows. When that strategy eventually fails, I'm going to claim I bought it at a garage sale to elevate my ankle, and that I have no idea what it's supposed to be used for. I'm sure that's airtight.

Personal comments

My opinion of this toy has varied widely over the time I've owned it. I hate that it reminds me that I no longer have the skinny, athletic body of my youth, and I was feeling regret over my purchase. But alternate uses keep presenting themselves, and it really redeemed itself when I busted up my ankle recently.

Despite the awkwardness, I'd probably still use it for its intended purpose if my creativity hadn't made an innocent gaming chair perform better for that use, but I'd hoped to use this on the bed, instead of the floor, and I remain disappointed in that failure.
