This product was recommended to me by my mother. I have been frustrated by pain during penetration, and I finally told her. She said she had been using this lube and that it worked wonders. My mother suffered from vaginal dryness after menopause that made everyday activities uncomfortable. She tried taking estrogen creams intravaginally, but she was allergic to the inactive ingredients in all the ones available on the market, so her doctor sent her to a holistic practitioner who gave her this lube. True, my mother and I have different needs; my mother is a perimenopausal heterosexual woman with vaginal dryness while I am a college-age lesbian with pain during penetration, but when I received a birthday gift card from EF, I couldn't help but try this lube!

Even when I used Good Clean Love, I still had difficulty inserting the larger toys in my collection. While it did not have the magical pain-relieving properties I was somewhat hoping for, it is still a nice lube. The manufacturer certainly does not claim it has any healing properties; my expectations were based on word of mouth.

I bought the lube for use in the bedroom, but if you suffer from vaginal dryness, this is a great lube to use during the day! Even if you do not suffer from vaginal dryness, applying some Good Clean Love to your outer vulva can help protect it from chafing associated with tight clothing.

The ingredients are listed on the tube as "Deionized water, Xanthan gum, Agar, organic Aloe barbendesis leaf juice, Natural extractives of Lemon and Vanilla bean, Potassium Sorbate, Benzoic Acid."

I had hesitated to order the product because I noticed that aloe was listed as an ingredient, and I worried it would have the same texture as the cold aloe gel I put on my face every morning. Fortunately, it was not. Although it feels cool coming out of the tube and has a few static bubbles like aloe gel does, it warms up in about three seconds (much more quickly than KY Jelly).

Good Clean Love is paraben free and petrochemical free, which is good for people who are sensitive to those chemicals. I thought the "95% organic" label was kind of lame, but potassium sorbate has been ruled 'inorganic' by most authorities on the matter. It is non-toxic even when ingested, almost never causes allergic reactions, and replaces parabens as a preservative. However, three ingredients listed on the EdenFantasys website worried me: glucose, glycerin, and agar. Glucose (a sugar), glycerin (a lipid compound), and agar (a starch) could feed microorganisms (yeast and bacteria) in the vagina, potentially leading to an infection. Fortunately, glycerin and glucose are not listed as an ingredient for the unscented lube, but it may still be in the flavored/scented ones. I did, however, research xanthan gum and learned that it is a carbohydrate, which means it can also feed microorganisms.

When I applied the lube to my vulva, I felt a very slight burning sensation on my labia minora. The burning sensation spread with subsequent uses. This is because I have a small scratch on my labia. While it did not irritate my (very sensitive) membranes, please be wary of using Good Clean Love over open wounds or sores (this may not be the best lube if you have herpes, HPV, or another illness that causes lesions). I'm guessing that the acidic lemon extract and benzoic acid were responsible for the sensation, but I'm not an expert.

I noticed that a major ingredient in this water-based lube is aloe. It is a little thicker than the aloe gel sold for dermatological use, but it has the same static bubbles.

According to the tube, Good Clean Love "mimics the bodies [sic] own natural lubrication," which means that it has a similar consistency to vaginal secretions. I feel that this lube would be too watery to use anally.

The lube heated to my body temperature very quickly (much faster than KY Jelly).

I have very sensitive skin (not to mention a very sensitive nose!), so I was concerned when I learned that even the unscented formula contains lemon and vanilla bean extracts. However, I found that the taste and smell was very pleasant and clean. I'd like to emphasize that it tastes clean and fresh because I usually hate products that claim to smell clean and fresh, as they give me migraines. However, the smell was light, pleasant, and barely noticeable.

Good Clean Love is the best water-based lube for oral sex I have tried thus far. It is slightly sweet but not in the disgusting chemical way that KY Jelly and Astroglide taste sweet. It blended right in with my and my girlfriend's natural secretions, allowing us to taste each other rather than a bottled lube.

After penetration, my girlfriend performed oral sex on me. I noticed that I felt very "wet," and I think it's because her saliva broke down the agar in the lube, thinning it out. The tube mentions that the lube can be "activated" by additional moisture, and I think that's what I might have been experiencing.

Good Clean Love will not only last through your lovemaking session, it will last through your entire day, making it ideal for personal care as well as pleasure.

Unfortunately, Good Clean Love does become a tiny bit sticky if it is simply wiped away with a towel, but it rinses away with water, no soap needed!

The packaging comes in a nice tube with a modern, discreet design. It doesn't look like a tube of lube. If I saw it in someone else's room or bathroom, I probably would assume it was a tube of facial cleanser or lotion and pay no attention. The words "Personal Lubricant" are nice and small.
