I like it wet, wet, wet!

If you're looking for an inexpensive silicone lubricant that lasts a long time, then Wet platinum is a good silicone lubricant to try. One word of caution is that it doesn't wash away easily even though the bottle claims it does.

Use

WET Platinum is a silicone based lubricant that can be used vaginally, anally, or with non-silicone based toys. You can use this solo or with a partner and is a good lube for any experience level. This was my first silicone based lubricant and I love that silicone based lubes can be used in water settings without having to worry about it washing away as you do with water based lubes.

Directions Use WET Platinum as needed to supplement your natural moisture and enhance intimacy. To relieve personal dryness, a small amount can be applied to the area that needs lubrication. It is latex condom compatible.

It does not contain any glycerine, petrochemicals, parabens, or L-arginine. As with any personal lubricant, it is best to look over the ingredients to ensure you will not have a reaction to it.

Ingredients Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Phenyl Trimethicone, and Tocopheryl Acetate.

Warnings This is not a contraceptive and does not contain spermicide. Discontinue use immediately if irritation or discomfort occurs. It may stain some fabrics. Do not use with other silicone products due to the potential chemical breakdown and reaction that may occur.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

WET Platinum is thinner in consistency than other silicone lubricants I have encountered. When applying it, it does tend to run so you need to be careful where you pour it. To pour is very easy, just open the cap and lightly squeeze the bottle. The more you squeeze the more lubricant that comes out.

The picture below shows it compared to Wet Original and Fun Factory's Body Fluid. The Wet Original is first, Bodyfluid is second, and Wet Platinum is third.

When applied to your skin it feels silky and slightly oily but not in a greasy way. It leaves your skin shiny in appearance and silky smooth. It is not sticky or tacky in any way. Once rubbed into the skin it stays in place and stays wherever you applied it.

Taste / Aroma

There isn't a discernable smell to this, but if you take the cap off and place your nose into the container, it smells slightly chemically. You do not smell it unless you have your nose in the bottle and cannot smell anything on your skin.

As far as tastes are concerned, it doesn't taste like anything specific, but leaves your mouth with an oily feeling.

Performance

Wet Platinum is like the Energizer bunny it keeps going, and going, and going. You should not have a need to reapply once you apply your desired amount of lubricant. It stays on the skin and does not move unless it is washed off. It works well in the shower or tub if you are one that enjoys playing outside the bedroom.

To wash is tricky, sometimes it just doesn't want to come off even with normal bathing practices. If applied just to areas that can't be seen then I just let it absorb into my skin and let it naturally go away.

One thing of concern here is that it can leave oily places on your clothing and sheets so I'd be careful where I applied it because you don't want to accidentally ruin all your sheets while playing with it.

Packaging

The bottle comes in 1.5 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz plastic containers. I have the 4oz containter. It is black with sparkles on the lid embedded into the plastic. The cap is a push up cap. The bottle is mostly black but it has white and silver on the front with a hint of red. The back has direction and warning information as well as the ingredients printed on it.

Here's a comparison photo of it with the Wet Original and Fun Factory's Body Fluid.

Special Features

As with any silicone lubricant, it can be used as a massage aid or body moisturizer, but I don't use it for that purpose. If you are one that has issues with clogged pores and breakouts, I wouldn't suggest using it this way.

Experience

Until I obtained the Bodyfluid, this was my favorite silicone lubricant. Now I use Bodyfluid when I want to use a silicone based lube. Overall Wet platinum works as needed and leaves me thoroughly lubricated and not dry. However, since it does have a tendency to leave oily spots here and there and takes time to wash away it is not the best silicone lubricant for me. I prefer one that washes away a little bit easier than this. If you don't mind that aspect of the lube, then this is a good one to try.
