Wet and a little bit wild.

This lubricant packs a punch in a small bottle (or large bottle, whichever you choose). Top of the line silicone lubricant to enhance your play and a little bit goes a long way!

Use

Obviously as this is a lubricant it is best used for foreplay, masturbation, toy play, anal, and intercourse in general. However it can also be used for a bit of a sensual massage, though I don't really recommend that - invest in a massage oil or candles and save the lube.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Wet Platinum lube is definitely slick and slippery - be aware of that. However it does not stain (except for materials like silk) and personally I have never found it to be particularly sticky or tacky, but perhaps it's because I've usually wiped or washed it off fairly shortly after use. It is very easy to pour though it is definitely runnier than you would expect and can be a bit "messy". Definitely provides that slick smooth feeling.

Taste / Aroma

I have never noticed much smell at all beyond perhaps just a bit of a typical chemical or medical aroma. Basically, it's unscented, but smells like you'd sort of expect a lubricant to smell. Taste-wise it is virtually tasteless. If you are like me and more sensitive to tastes you may notice a sort of plastic taste, but it's very very very light and not off-putting. Overall though I would recommend keeping it away from your mouth as much as possible. While its flavour and smell are not strong, it is slippery, wet, and perhaps not exactly the best sensation in your mouth. But to each their own.

Performance

I have found platinum to have a medium performance level. It doesn't absorb super well, especially if you're using a decent amount of it (though a little goes a long way on this product). You shouldn't really have the need to reapply, making it great for when you don't want to have...awkward...pauses that leave you or your partner hanging with antici...pation.
    • Feels natural
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water
    • Not compatible with all materials

Packaging

Wet has recently redone their packaging. It's attractive, but the big seller for me is that their new bottles are much easier to handle and open. The older style with the rounded flip top was just aggravating sometimes, plus if your hands are already slick, well, it wasn't fun (but sometimes funny). The new bottle is much easier to open and handle and allows for a much easier and quicker one-handed opening, dispensing, and closing.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense

Personal comments

I am sometimes sensitive to liquid silicone products. This one gets props for causing zero irritation, redness, or rash.

It is also the first lube I ever used and I still stand by the product. While there are a few others I like to use from time to time, Wet Platinum stays at the top of my list for silicone based lubricants.

While a bit pricey, it's definitely worth the cost and a little goes a long way.
