It's Indeed A Cooling Gel, But Sensual It Is Not!

The sensual cooling gel, from the "Love Yourself!" collection by Love Factory, is somewhat like warming gels, except this one is cold. It is meant to be used externally (never internally) on genitals, so one can enjoy the tingling sensation from the menthol and the overall coolness of the gel. Since this product is aimed at lovers, this would be best used during foreplay with you and your lover/partner. As long as you use it only for external purposes, avoid eye contact, and keep it out of reach from children, this is a safe product to use to spice things up in the bedroom.

The texture of this product is gooey and reminds me of hair gel, as far as the thickness and consistency goes. It feels somewhat slimy at first, but dries quickly when blended into the skin or whatever areas you choose to use this gel for. The gel is so thick that it doesn't pour out if you turn the jar upside down. It stays in place when placed on the skin, and blends in easily.

The aroma of this product is very much a blast of menthol/minty freshness that resembles cologne. The smell is a little on the strong side and lingers for a while. I can't help but feel that this product is basically cheap cologne in gel form. Does it smell awful? Not necessarily, but it's not the sexiest smell in the world, either.

As someone who has tried many warming gels in the past, I thought the idea of a cooling gel seemed odd. From the strong menthol/minty/cheap cologne smell, I figured that perhaps it would really be able to do the trick at adding a cooling sensation that would stimulate my genital/pleasurable regions.

It is immediately cool to the touch. When applied to nipples and the clitoris, you can right away feel a coolness. But did it add a pleasurable sensation? I didn't think so, but the coolness did last for a good 10 minutes. My partner blew on the cooling gel area, and it didn't get any colder, such as how warming gels get warmer when you blow air on them. When the coolness subsided it became really sticky, but it washed off easily with a wet cloth or in the shower.

I'm not quite sure what it is about this product, but it left little to be desired in performance. It wasn't stimulating or sensual at all, as you would expect from a product like this.

I thought the packaging was far more interesting and impressive than the product itself! The red and silver box is gorgeous in its design and sexy (albeit cheesy, but sexy nonetheless) picture of a nude couple sensually embracing each other. I did find it strange, though, that the nude lady was wearing black pasties that seemed to hide or censor her nipples from being seen.

The color of the gel is aqua in color. It's very pretty. The glass jar is tiny and can easily fit in the palm of your hand, and yet there is enough gel in the container to last for months if used sparingly. If you throw away the box that it came in and kept the jar as is, it is extremely discreet and is suitable for travel. The jar is very sturdy, does not leak, is easy to use and dispense, and is not difficult to open. If anything, the packaging alone makes this a nice gift, but it's a shame that the actual product doesn't live up to the standards that Fun Factory had put in its packaging and presentation.

It has cooling properties, but doesn't achieve much in the tingling sensation department.
